But this time I got speeding ticket from a State Trooper who is smarter than the Waze app. (He used moving radar, got me on I-71 at mile marker 34, which is not half a mile from where the speed limit raises from 65 to 75. This guy knows exactly how to game the system.) Working with Attorney JR Bernans was a breeze. He advised me on the current state of the local prosecutor (some recent personnel changes at the courthouse added some nuance to the case. We discussed strategies, and probable outcomes. And while I know that everyone will not be as fortunate as I in their legal disputes, JR was able to reduce my speeding ticket to a nonmoving violation. This guy is GOOD at his job. Took all of the hassle and stress out of the equation for me. ac And while I can't vouch for the firm at large, I expect that if they attract talented attorneys like JR, working with Rittgers and Rittgers is probably going to be a great experience for you. It certainly was for me.

After meeting with Jeff I felt confident about my case. After a month the OVI charge was dropped and i was willing to accept a wreckless operation charge. Very pleased with the professionalism of Jeff I never thought I would see him again. In 2016, after three drinks I was pulled over and in the same situation. Feeling embarrassed and scared, Mr. Meadows reassured me that I wasn't hopeless. He gathered details to my case and wasn't willing to take any plea deal like most other attorneys would. Jeff asked me what I wanted out of my case and his defense. He certainly came through. He picked apart the prosecutions evidence and arguements. Once I heard,"not guilty" I couldn't believe it. All charges dropped. This man saved me money on my insurance, and saved me from the embarrassment of having to put down that I have been convicted of a misdemeanor when applying for jobs. I owe him a big thank you! Don't think twice about Jeff Meadows defense.. he is the best.

Jeff's experience, compassion and confidence were evident from day one. Ironically, it wasn't until a previous attorney withdrew from my case that I was able to meet with Jeff. I can't thank Jeff enough for his support, professionalism and keeping me informed every step of the way. I would encourage anyone reviewing this to consider Meadows Law Firm for representation. I have met a new friend in Jeff and consider his work/representation as second to none. Thank you Jeff!

I cannot say enough about the Russell & Ireland Group…read more In 2017, my wife and kids were in a horrific car accident where a driver was speeding and hit my wife's car head on crossing into their lane. Long story short, it was a bad situation where my son needed significant surgery. When I searched on yelp for an attorney in desperation, I discovered Adam Russell and Russell & Ireland Law Group. Adam was a complete game changer for me at a time when I didn't need to be thinking about a legal situation. 1. Adam Listens, period. First and foremost, he is a family man and puts himself in your shoes. He embodies your situation from the get go, asks questions first, and formulates a clear action plan for you. 2. Adam is knowledgeable. He is extremely familiar with the judicial system, the players in the courts, and the legal system. I always felt confident he could navigate the situation well so I could focus on my 3 year old son in the ICU. 3. Adam is persistent. To be honest, we were under covered from an insurance standpoint (this was my fault) but he looked across all avenues to get what was fair for my family and massively reduced the medical bills from my son's surgery and weeks in the ICU by working with my health care insurance company. I called him today (in 2023, 6 years later!) to ask him a follow up question and he still remembered our case and was happy to help. This is a stand up company in every possible way. Their values show up in their work, effort, and how they treat their clients. I would recommend them 100% every day.

Our first impression was great, Gerald seemed like a go-getter and someone fit to take our case…read more Sadly, after my husband paid the retainer, the communication slowed. Leading up to our trial for a custody/parental alienation case it seemed we were dealing with someone who was very busy as we received little communication. I get that's typical in the legal profession, we assumed he had a busy work load. However, we were also paying clients and did not feel that he fully grasped our situation. We reached out occasionally and sometimes get a response days later (if any). I will mention that we requested a call to discuss things around our trial date to ensure we were on the same page. He did make time for us the day before our court date. While we appreciated the contact, it was too late to add any evidence or possibly make changes to help our cause. Upon arriving the day of court, we heard him mention to us that some of the exhibits were turned in late. We had so much false hope for how things would go that day. He did encourage us on the short breaks in the briefing room and seemed to know the law- which is why I added a star. However, verdict came in the mail. We lost. Everything. Reached out to him. He never responded or followed up to offer condolences or legal advise. Nothing. Seems like a nice guy overall but save your money If you need a shark on your case!

Disclaimer: This review is about the services rendered by an individual attorney employed at this…read morefirm and is not necessarily indicative of the overall quality or impression of the law firm. Doug Nicholas was my attorney for an OVI about 10 years ago. He did absolutely nothing to attempt to obtain an equitable settlement for me for this case. He took his relationship with the judge for granted and was absolutely surprised at her sentence (which I thought was throwing the book at a first time offender in all honesty given the fact that she gave house arrest to a guy who assaulted a paramedic after he called EMS because he was drunk). He took my 1,500 dollars and seemed disinterested in my case. Not once did he try to lobby the judge further for a more lenient sentence. Not once did he offer any other alternative other than filing a motion to suppress (which I declined to have done due to my ignorance). When I asked about going back to court to get the court ordered interlock out of my car, his email response to me seemed like I was inconveniencing him after I paid him a substantial sum of money to represent me even though part of the reason I had an interlock was due to his lackadaisical attitude about my situation ("Yeah, we can try doing that I guess" to paraphrase). Absolutely ZERO care for his client. I have no issues with Kelly as he was very pleasant and took my call the night of my arrest and did not seem irritated that I called him at such a late hour (hence the extra star). I cannot, however, recommend the particular attorney addressed in this review to anyone looking for representation for OVI cases.
