Consulted Root on a case for 20 - 30 minutes on a potential case and was told he could help. He asked for $1,000 to retain him and I never heard directly from him again. He would not return my calls. After 3 calls to contact him with no response, I asked for my money back. It took 2 years to get half of my money back after I was charged with the initial free consultation, which he claimed was a full hour, phone calls that were never returned, voicemails that I had left, and also for not wanting to come in to talk to him. Yes, he charged me for NOT wanting to come in and for calls he never returned. All contact that I happened to get was through his very rude secretary. Do not hire this thieving lawyer.
