Marc Sammelman the owner only cares about his profit line and could care less about customer service or the integrity of operating a business. I was given a quote and agreed to the price on 8/4. Between then and now, we removed one aspect of the order to replace with an addition to the primary building. Initial quote was for 460 sq ft roof 3" closed cell and 2" closed cell on the roof of an open gazebo. We removed the gazebo to add walls on the main building also at 2" closed cell. Received a quote for the main building including the wall a couple days ago and agreed to the price with confirmation of schedule. Our installation was scheduled for today but I received a call this morning stating "we were misquoted" and the job could not be done for that price so we have to either pay the higher price or start over with finding someone to do the work. (We had 3 quotes for this job and opted for AtticMan over the others to save a little money.) A mutual friend working for the company had given the quote and attempted to honor the price even though it was a mistake. The owner, Marc, refused and at the end of the day, told my husband "You're having this done in a carport, why don't you just buy some foam you can afford." FYI Marc, you don't know what we can or can't afford, and that is not the point. Your bad business ethics are the point along with your inability to properly train your employees. If you did your job correctly, employees would know the correct price for quoting jobs and if you had any integrity what so ever, you would honor the price quoted and advise the employee of said mistake so that it wouldn't happen again. Will absolutely never refer anyone to your business and I network a lot since I am a real estate broker. read more
