I came here in August last year and got my nose pierced. It was fast and easy. The piercer didn't say much at all but it didn't matter to me because I've had multiple piercings done before at different places so I know how to keep it clean and stuff. I came back 5 months later and was told that they would be able to change out my piercing for me to a hoop that I bought. I filled out paperwork and the piercer that originally pierced my nose came out looked at my nose and then at the nose ring for half a second and basically really rudely told me most nose rings wouldn't fit my nose and would be too small. He showed me this humongous nose ring and said I could choose between that or just wear studs. I literally went home that night and put the same nose ring I brought in myself with no issue. It was even bigger than I wanted it to be. A month later I came back with an even smaller nose ring and a different piercer who was way nicer said he could try it out with no problem. It fit perfectly and I have had no issues with it. The tall skinny piercer needs to learn how to be polite to customers like the rest of the staff. read more

I went here about 5 months ago to get my belly button pierced ( I waited to write this bc I wanted to see how it healed) anyway I went in there and prior to getting pierced the man at the front who gave me all the paper work (sorry I don't remember names atm) explained all the after care and the process of how the whole thing was gonna work. He was nice and answered all my questions. Then when I went to the back the piercer just seemed in a rush and wanted me out of there he didn't even show me the jewelry, nor did he let me even say anything it was just 'here's some dots and lay down then bye' it just made me feel very uncomfortable. Then the piercing itself was fine but not even two days after the top jewel fell out. So I had to stay w just one jewel for the past couple months, ( everyone I asked said to wait until i hit the six month mark to replace the piece) I didn't expect the jewelry they used to be that easily fucked up. Also I've been to the atomic tattoos on Kings Ave and never had a experience there that made me uncomfortable so idk if the dude was just having a bad day or wanted to get out of there. read more

If I could give a 0 rating I would. I wouldn't recommend to anyone and I certainly know I will not be coming back unless I'm going to complain. My piercings were rushed and I didn't even get to see the placement on one before having a needle shoved through my ear. I normally go to trilogy tattoos but my best friend and I wanted to get matching tattoos while we were at the mall and we tought we'd lower our standards a notch since what we were getting was very small and simple. Well it turns out we lowered out standards much more than that. Our tattoos turned out fairly sub par in accuracy but what the real issue was the fact both of us developed infections. We are both very well aware of how to care for a new tattoo and we're very diligent about keeping them clean and bacteria - free yet we both have swollen ankles with pus and iritation. I don't think the artist is to blame for this but who knows? Atomic tattoos births a lot of incredible artists in the area but I would recommend going elsewhere. I can't speak for all locations but this one is definitely unsanitary. read more

I came in one day to get another smaller hoop for my nose because I lost my original. A different piercer I've never seen before (Jeff) persistently told me that it there was no hoop smaller than the one currently in my nose, and that it was a fluke and they don't exist... I tried to take mine out and he told me I'm not aloud to take out my own jewelry "in their store" and he wouldn't let me because it's not sanitary, even though I wasn't touching anything else ?? Maybe if he said it nicer it would have gone differently but I just walked out. I came in against better judgement for a new separate nose piercing, and Jeff was the piercer. He was much nicer this day but when he pierced me, he put a hoop in my nose that was bigger than a pinky ring. It was unmistakably huggge. I have a small nose, and already had a small hoop in the one next to it, he pierced it with a 16G needle which is also pretty big for a nostril. We had to take it out and he poked my nose for about five minutes straight before he just repierced it completely. Pretty terrible experience. He was nice about it, but there was no compensation what so ever. I'm just saying, for a guy who sounded like he knew everything, he did not deliver. read more

My husband and I went here to get matching tattoos. They are fair priced for the work they do, as a good quality shop isn't going to be cheap. The staff is very friendly. I am the kind of person who gets pretty nervous and it was just a good time the whole time. When picking the tattoo the first thing I wanted wasn't going to work out for how small I wanted it and where I wanted it and he explained very well why it wouldn't work. I will never go here again for many reasons. One is because I don't like how the receptionist is allowed to treat clients by forcing them to only swipe their cards, I went the last time to purchase H2ocean for my cartilage piercing and I had exact change and she refused to take the cash. She told me I either swipe my card or she can't accept my payment. She did this once before to me when she was pregnant also. They allow the tattoo artist to be disrespectful to customers especially women, I was in there one day to see Dorian and he cursed a lady out who was not even talking to him. She told her daughter you finally finished after waiting two hours and he jumped into the ladies face and cursed her out and was yelling at her and no one who works there said a word. They just stood around and watched the whole thing take place. Then Dorian advised that they help if you have questions within the 6 month period while your piercing is healing you can always come for assistance for free. The receptionist told me if I want to see Dorian I must pay and he just stood there. I will no longer feel safe going there anymore. read more

Went here a couple years ago and came in with a super girly wrist tattoo. Walked out with the darkest, harshest, manly tattoo. Guy's last name was Wolves I think. Completely changed my idea, which I agreed to at the time because I was 19 and had already waited for my appt and was too excited to think and say no to the changes. Clearly wanted me in and out, had no interest in making it a good experience for me. Charged me $114 for a horribly done tattoo. My daughter got her nose pierced by TJ about a month ago - great experience. He also gave us a history lesson in piercings and it was very interesting, and he did his best to distract my daughter after the piercing so she would be able to calm herself down. This weekend, she had to remove it for sports and he put it right back in for her. After a week of having piercings, I've had to take one out due to the type of jewelry that was used and I'm having to have another 2 replaced by another piercer because for one the bar is too short and it's not healing properly at all. I'm in more pain than I should be. Goes to show a great experience in the beginning is not always a great experience. Unfortunately. My best friend went to another shop and they were by far more helpful, actually gave her options. Rather than just doing whatever they please. After spending nearly $200 I'm not a happy camper that I have to spend even more to fix a mistake that was made. But I'd rather spend the money and have them fix what was done than to cause me more damage in the long run. read more

Go here! Get a tattoo from Deidre Zinn. She is a great artist, pretty hilarious and she put up with 4 giggling, swearing, loudmouthed (yet wonderfully charming) ladies as clients. I'm sure we were distracting. I'm sure we were dorky. But she delivered 4 beautiful tattoos in a short enough amount of time for us to 1) get our drink on. 2) be loud, giggly and sweary in several other locations in the mall. And? I got my first tattoo done here by Tassili who, despite having done an amazing job (even though he's a little heavy handed), proceeded to charge me $300 for a $100 tattoo (which is partially my mothers fault because she has no clue what she's talking about when it comes to tattoos). I also got my second tattoo done hear when they were running their Friday the 13th special (predesigned tattoos for $13 and piercings for $13) I can't recall the artist name but he was really nice and sweet. Overall it's a cool place but as with any tattoo or piercing you are looking to get do your research first so you don't get ripped off. read more

I got my first tattoo and my ear cartilage pierced here. It was a very good experience. I walked in, I didn't have an appointment, but that wasn't a problem. I got my ears pierced first. I went back into the piercing room. The piercer could tell I was nervous so he kept talking to me and joking around to lighten the mood. The piercing did hurt but it was quick so the pain was momentary. The needle was thoroughly cleaned beforehand and my ears never got infected. Next was my tattoo. It was a Jesus fish on my left ankle. They even recommended a Christian tattoo artist cuz they thought it would be better coming from someone who was emotionally invested in the tattoo. That was super nice. I BELIEVE the artist's name was Mike but unfortunately I cannot remember for sure. He was very nice and professional and made sure I was ready. The tattoo barely hurt and it went by quickly. It looks awesome too! read more
