When your father is dying it is hard to talk on the phone and keep it together so I appreciated the online form. Then when he passed away I called to let Atlantis know and they were so kind over the phone. Even though in my mind I know it is a business and they could be excusably callous because they do this day in and day out, they WEREN'T. They made me feel supported and they had a very empathetic touch. They arrived at the house in the middle of the night to pick up my father 90 minutes after I had called. This actually allowed us some quiet time with my dad which actually felt just right. The two men that picked up my father were so kind and I could see the compassion in their eyes. They didn't rush anything. They wanted to make sure that we had enough time with my dad before he left the house for the very last time. This is the strangest review I've ever written but I highly recommend Atlantis Cremations. It felt like your kind neighbor was helping you through your greatest time of need. And I couldn't believe the pricing. I had always heard on commercials and things that you should plan on spending $6k -$8k for funeral expenses. Granted, this is just a cremation which is a fraction of the cost of a whole funeral, but with COVID-19 we plan on celebrating my father next summer instead of having a funeral service so it was just what we needed. read more

My father passed very unexpectedly and after a lot of research my mother and I chose to go with Atlantis. Following submission of the initial online forms we were immediately contacted by the staff who further explained the process and did so with such compassion and professionalism. We ended up working directly with Keila and THANK GOODNESS we did. We encountered various issues with the physician signing the death certificate, including a delay of 2 weeks! Every day Keila stayed in constant communication us, updating us and reassuring us that she was on top of it. They were half the price when comparing them to the place my sister used for my father. On a sunny warm day I did not expect to lose my husband. :( It happened so suddenly and we were all so devastated and in shock. The last thing I or my family had the energy for was to plan the cremation and deal with the hospital morgue. The Organ Donor organization recommended Altlantis and I am so glad that they did. We did everything via the website and they called to confirm what was ordered. They got in touch with the hospital and handled everything. Amazing, professional, compassionate, trustworthy! I found Atlantis Simple Cremations on line. As you can imagine I was concerned doing the entire process on-line but the process of creating an account and paying for services was easy and seamless. If I had questions they were available to answer them. From the time I completed cremation services to my mom's sudden passing was approx 8 months. I paid for simple cremation services, transport from a residence to facility [in case mom died at home] and the required container for the cemetery we are burying her at. Mom passed in hospice at a hospital so Atlantis took care of everything! And the $100 transport fee I paid and applied it to the additional death certificates I requested [5 total]. When I went to pick mom up, she was compassionately wrapped up in the box I ordered, then in a white box then in a cloth tote bag. There facility waiting room in Pompano was neat and clean and well decorated, quite and appropriate for customers. Unfortunately, I found our family in need of a crematorium for a family member. During these Covid times it is not possible to hold a viewing or funeral. After some serious investigating on price and services, we chose Atlantis. We are so very happy and thankful we did!! Since i work in a funeral home up north i know the process is pretty straight forward, removal, cremation and return. Really no need to sit with a funeral director when no viewing is involved. I called funeral homes in the area and some were double, others were near double the price for the exact same service. We are arranging for a memorial mass ourselves and memorial prayer cards can be obtained from an online company, again no need for a funeral director to get involved. Cremain urns can also be purchased online. If you're not comfortable transferring the ashes from cremation container to the urn find someone who is or call a funeral home and they should, if they're smart, do it for you. The process was seamless. Questions were answered immediately. Completion was sooner than expected. Staff was both caring and professional. Highly recommend Atlantis. read more

While on a cruise my husband became ill and was air lifted to a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, where he passed away in early Jan. There I was, all by myself in an unfamiliar hospital ; all I wanted to do was get home to my family in the Midwest. Both my husband and I had agreed to be cremated -- but in our home city. My Mom passed away last week and specified she wanted to be cremated. My friend and I researched companies and found Atlantis . They have been exceptional! They picked up my Mother's body from Hospice in the middle of the night . They answered all of my questions as I was afraid to disclose sensitive information and reassured me that they are connected to the Department of Health . They have a crematorium on location. I was able to order all of the death certificates from them . They even notified Social Security. I received my Mom's ashes and the certificates within a week . Usually the process takes 2-3 weeks . I called several times with questions and was always greeted by an understanding sympathetic voice on the other end. I live in West Palm Beach, so they are a bit of a distance from me, so that was the only drawback. To be fair, I did have the option of having my dad's remains sent to me via USPS (it might have been Fed Ex--- don't remember which it was) but I opted to pick up my dad's ashes along with his death certificates.
