Vainly searching for help to find an item and then rude service at deli counter. Searching for a sushi mat, I looked in vain for an associate, finally finding somone at the next Deli meat counter. It was 12:45 and the whole section of the store seemed empty of staff. The associate came back to the counter and there was only one other customer who seemed to be browsing the selections. I said, " I have a quick question " Do you have any sushi mats?" Her counter was just opposite a sushi supply section I had already searched. Despite this she said an abrupt "I don't know but she was here first" in a rude way. I was just looking to have a question answered and didn't think I should wait through a whole slicing meat order first. This person is not an asset to your business but you need to train your staff better and have a policy of asking staff to contact a floor person to come and help when necessary rather than rudely brushing them off. I left the store angry and highly doubt I will be back despite holding credit and loyalty cards from Superstore. read more

The store is nice, clean, and well stocked. This is not the issue. The issue is the cashiers. How did you find such a bunch of grumpy mean nasty women all in one place. I dunno, but congratulations you nailed it. These women do not greet you, they make you feel like going to their register is a horrible thing to do to them. They are nasty about bagging your groceries, and are never polite and friendly when you leave. We've been trying out the Atlantic Superstore in Bridgewater, NS., for the last little while because, mainly, we were impressed with their deli and salad and fruit trays ready to go. The store is nice, well laid out, bright and welcoming. However..... yesterdays check out at the till was a totally different experience. Cashier's name: Jordan. Just a horrible, nasty thing. Obviously did not want to be there. Was unhelpful (as I'm stretching across the conveyor to reach something that had rolled away from me and that she was only 6 inches away from but couldn't be bothered to hand it to me). From that moment on it went downhill. She was surly, disrespectful and when my husband tried to make light of the moment, he was met with a scowl and ignored. There are 2 impressions that a company can make on a customer. The first impression... which was good... and the last impression, which is the one that is remembered the most and if it's bad then that negates the 1st impression. The cashier can either make or break the impression that a customer has on the store. She definitely ruined the 1st impression. If this visit had ended with her being cheerful and helpful, this rating would have been 5 star....... read more

When we need to do some serious grocery shopping, we usually head in to Bridgewater to the Superstore. It's a typical giant modern grocery store, with all the additions we seem to expect: drugstore, pharmacy, deli, takeout, clothing, housewares, smoke shop, photo lab and mobile phone store. Good selection, the local produce is pretty clearly marked, the bakery is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. read more

This location is a good size natural foods selection which is very helpful for vegans as Bridgewater itself is not overly vegan-friendly. Offers some great specialty items like vegan pudding and Gardein. read more

I went here based on another review saying that they have a good natural foods selection. Based on that, I had an unrealistic expectation of what this store would be like. It is a massive grocery store and the word "Superstore" should have clued me in. Trying to find the foods I typically find with ease at a natural foods store was a challenge. To be fair, I tried other stores nearby and this was the best selection in the area. I think it would be easier to shop if I had time to visit local farmer's markets. read more
