Shay was recommended to my husband and I through a realtor that raved about her as an originator…read more She held our hand through the entire home buying process. She was always easy to get in touch with and answered all of our questions thoroughly, if she didn't know she found out! We forewent the use of a buyer's agent as well as the home being FSBO so Shay was the only party who knew our next steps and she really stepped up to the plate! During the most stressful experience of our lives Shay was a reasonable voice. We had to reschedule closing a couple of times, one of them being due to a big mess up on our closing attorney's end. Once Shay got wind of it she was IMMEDIATELY on the case to figure out what went wrong and how to remedy it. She is an A++ loan originator that I would recommend to absolutely anyone. With all of that said I still must say that my absolute favorite, most appreciated, and loved part about her is that she literally makes you feel like she has known you for years and is invested in your life. You can not tell me someone from a big box lender like Quicken would almost cry on the phone with you when they thought something had gone wrong, or tell you to keep their information FOREVER and contact them any time you need them, or shower you with excitement and happiness for finding your dream home. Shay is a needle in a haystack... A woman who fulfills her career with her heart outstretched for her clients.

And when they called and said they want 20% down we lost it. Just because I have money in the bank doesn't mean I have to give it all to Wells Fargo. We dealt with 4 different loan officers and every time it went to a new person I had to send the same paperwork again! They charge about $100 more then any other mortgage company for an appraisal. We ended up taking our business to another company but after we fired wells Fargo they kept working on the loan. Our insurance company called and told us they were requesting more information about us. Do not use Wells Fargo, there are plenty of other companies who are honest and will do their job properly.

Before contacting Chad Harris I had engaged another mortgage broker, but I switched to Chad Harris…read morebecause I wanted my broker to be more than an intermediary who simply forwards documents and questions. Chad did an exceptional job, communicating all the important information to me, but at the same time professionally taking ownership of underwriting concerns and inevitable questions involving the various parties (including the realtors and seller.) He did this and minimized the burden on me as I was starting a new job in a new city. In summary - Chad wasn't just a go-between. He was my advocate and agent. I enthusiastically recommend him.
