The same day we got the bikes one of them was squeaky and we were able to exchange it no problem. The following day I decided to upgrade my rental to an e-bike which was easy to do. The new people there seem somewhat clueless when asked a service question. Even said that once they get the right tools and learn how to make repairs, they will get going on that. As an avid rider, that kind of statement turned me right around. I cannot trust my (pricey) racing bike to novice mechanics or servicers. When asking of Joshua's whereabouts, I was given a shrug. ~ Ed F.

I spoke with Clay for a very long time and he patiently explained the business and how termite protection is provided and on what terms. He was very honest and forthcoming about what my home may or may not need. I did not need an inspection at that time but would the following year (April 2022). I am impressed that he put me in his calendar and the company contacted me one year later to schedule an appointment. Wow! I was impressed that they called me and that I did not have to remember to initiate the contact, though it was on my mind. Shane drove to my home, contacted me that he was there, received access to the house, and performed the inspection. Thank God there were no problems. I have found the office staff to be very friendly and helpful. I am one grateful customer!

There's no delivery service, no mail carriers so all of the 400 residents come to the post office to pick up their mail! The post master knows every person by name on this unusual island that typically only has golf carts and bikes for vehicles... there's maybe a truck or two on the island. There's a rustic, coastal vibe to this building with its distressed weathered deck and handicap ramp. Any news that needs to be shared is posted on the post office front door, whether it's a funeral or an upcoming event. It's about 12 miles from Maryland's mainland and has a mailboat running most days. The townspeople meet the boat and help unload the mail and packages. You've gotta love this neighborly system! Tangier Island is in Chesapeake Bay and it's only accessible by boat or ferry or plane. We've taken the ferry from Reedville, VA but there are other ways to get there as well. It's known to be eroding with rising sea levels and it's expected to become a wetland within a decade or so. It has an interesting history, and I've enjoyed visiting this unique island. There's not much only island, the Post office, a grocery store, a museum, a couple of restaurants and shops, and you can pretty much walk the town in 20 minutes.
