Stayed here in November while in town for the event of the year on Maryland's eastern shore. What…read morestruck me upon checkin was how clean and fancy the place is. We were upgraded to a 2-room suite at no additional charge the day before checking in which was nice. Our room was very large, a living room with a built-in bar kitchenette area on the wall with a small fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. I liked how the living room was its own separate but connected part of the room - a nice sectional couch near the sliding glass door and sunset views. Both the living room and bedroom had WiFi TV with access to streaming services which I'm hoping will be a Hilton-wide requirement for properties soon. The bedroom was also very spacious and the bathroom was large with room for activities. Overall - I really liked this property and it will be one I look up when staying in and around OC.

What a beautiful hotel! And it's run by caring, conscientious employees. We are locals and our…read morepower went out during the recent blizzard; Fenwick Shores was offering a discounted rate to those affected. Knowing the bar and restaurant were opening at 4 PM, we decided to get some wine and relax by the fireplace in the beautiful lobby. Before you know it, the place got full - Ken in the bar was running food and drinks nonstop - he was awesome. We had a warm, peaceful night's sleep in the comfy beds and, who do we see when we went to the lobby restaurant for breakfast? Ken! Still there working his butt off. We planned on using the gym, but had a great time meeting and talking with other Fenwick neighbors instead. Even though it had just snowed, we had to go to the roof bar to scope it out for the summertime. The pool looks inviting too! Fenwick Shores made what could have been a tough situation (no electricity) into something very enjoyable, and we are deeply appreciative.

Stayed for one night during the week. Wife and I were contemplating staying longer, but we decided…read moreone night was enough. Staff was not an issue. Cleanliness and comfortability were. The bed either had a bad box spring or mattress. Sunken in the middle and could feel the springs. Barely slept. Bathroom was rather disgusting. Hairs either from housekeeping or the previous guest were in the bath. Mold on the shower and stained drop ceiling from previous/present leaks. Location was ok and the price for one night wasn't bad if the issues weren't present. Last thing that was an irritant - I received an automated text from the hotel at 12:01 AM on our checkout day that we are scheduled to leave and to let them know when we're leaving. I understand turnover time but this was pretty annoying. I'm glad I didn't hear my phone go off and wake me up as I was laying down in a sub par mattress that I already was struggling to sleep in.

Air was cool and the balcony was a plus. Beds were a bit soft and worn but not bad. Not sure what anyone expects for the price but ive been in some rough places for more money. We liked it. The people were so cool. We had e-bikes and they let us put them inside and lock them to the stair well. Pool was nice and clean although we didnt use it. I will no doubt stay here again! No elevator so beware if you have the need for an elevator.

Quality Inn & Suites - This is the hotel with more laundry than you can imagine piled high in the driveway to greet all guests! How lovely?!?!?

You could see the border between Maryland and Delaware next to the hotel too. There was good insulation in the walls. Staff was nice and helpful. My complaints: The door to our room on the 4th floor was slightly misaligned so that we had to really push against it to open/close. Likewise, the balcony door required a lot of effort to pull open. The hotel itself is alright. It's leaning towards the older end in terms of furniture but everything worked and was clean. The kitchen came with stoves, microwave, large fridge, and kitchenware. AC was older looking but was able to cool the temperature of the room. Breakfast was mediocre. They must still have some Covid protocols in place since a lot of the things were individually wrapped like their cups, muffins, bagels, and utensils. There aren't any warm foods or proteins I usually expect from inclusive hotel breakfast like eggs & sausages. They also charge you 1.50 per night for safe warranty or something of that sort. Not sure if you can waive it at check-in or not.

Also, the air filter for our rooms AC was black, which is not good for families with children or ones with a high chance of getting sick. Also, there was a hair ball left in the shower even after we waited an hour for our room to be prepped and cleaned. If there were stains on the blankets, dirty air filters, annd hair left behind...isn't it accustomed that they be replaced and cleaned up? Do not come here. Even if it seems cheap. Check reviews and don't be afraid to speak up.

Absolutely terrible experience -- DO NOT rent from Sandcastle Realty…read more After years of wonderful vacations in Bethany Beach, our family's trust in this company has been completely shattered. We've rented from Sandcastle for many years, always taking pride in leaving every home spotless and following every checkout instruction. Yet in recent years, we've faced repeated problems getting our security deposits back -- endless delays, vague accusations, and outright lies about the condition of the properties. This past summer was the final straw. After a storm from Hurricane Erin, we reached out several times to have the pool cleaned. We were ignored for most of the week, leaving the pool filthy and unusable for our kids. Still, we cleaned the house thoroughly before leaving -- wiped surfaces, swept floors, scrubbed bathrooms, and made sure everything was in better shape than when we arrived. We even took photos and video as proof. Months later, we were told we wouldn't be getting our security deposit back because the house was supposedly left a "mess." That claim is completely false -- and honestly insulting. Our family includes members with health conditions that made us extra careful about cleanliness. The whole experience has felt dishonest and exploitative. After decades of happy memories in Bethany Beach, it's heartbreaking that Sandcastle Realty has made it stressful to come here. Based on how they've handled our last few rentals, it feels like the owner, Doug, is running a scam -- taking people's deposits under false pretenses and violating Delaware law. To anyone thinking of renting from this company: beware. The home might look lovely online, but the peace of mind and trust that make a vacation special are long gone. What a sad way to end so many years of family tradition.

Despite taking pride in how we leave the properties in accordance with the check-out instructions and leaving it in immaculate condition we have experienced difficulty getting our security deposit back the last few years. Too many delays and lies on why the security deposit was not refunded has resulted in our conclusion that the owner Doug is running a scam operation taking tenants security deposit based on false allegations and in violation of Delaware law. To those reading this review and considering renting a house from this business ... BEWARE! The security deposit you pay is most likely to become a donation to Doug unless you want to retain an attorney and file suit to get it back.
