So I plunk down $1.50 in the meter, go inside, and have to leave because my laptop isn't charged. Really, charging for parking? No plug-ins? Unreal.

At the gateway to this neat fishing village hidden in a corner of the city is this cool statue. There were lots of people hanging out near it and taking pictures. Turns out it was commemorated by our president while he still owned casinos in Atlantic City. There are beautiful water views nearby. You can also see commercial fishing boats and the Coast Guard from here. Neptune is fitting because he is the mythological Greek god of the sea. The statue is tastefully done. Cheers to Klaus-Dieter who inspired me to review statues.

Not every exam is offered everyday, and they only have 7 computers at the facility. Also, the website says you only need to bring your pre-licensing certificate and one form of ID, but the last two times I went for an exam, I was asked for a second form. You can't bring any belongings into the facility except your documentation and your car keys. I've even see them ask people to remove jackets/sweatshirts. This wouldn't really be a problem except.... The facility is freezing. Absolutely frigid. My limbs go numb in the 25 minutes it takes to complete an exam. The facility is clean and quiet. And the staff are really great, probably the best thing about this place. Granted, you only spend 5 minutes with them, but they're never rude or miserable, even at 8:30am! The website also says you need to be at the testing site a half hour before your scheduled exam, but you probably don't. If you are, they'll let you start your exam early. I've also seen them allow people taking multiple exams scheduled a few hours apart to take one right after the other.

It connects Atlantic City's "Downbeach" neighborhood to the mainland by traversing wetlands and a bay. Three fixed spans and one double-leaf bridge make up the causeway. The bridge was built in 1932 and collected tolls until it was forced to close because of financial difficulties. It was reopened in 1939 as the Margate Bridge Company, which ran it until 1964. The Margate Bridge stock was put up for sale at that time in Federal Court. The Margate Bridge was purchased by the Capaldi and Hansen families, who made the highest offer. In the State of New Jersey, there are just three privately owned toll bridges. The toll to cross the bridge is $2.25.
