I have even left here and then realized that she was suppose to close 30 minutes prior. Still, I never knew because all she did was help me find something I was over the moon happy with. On top of the amazing customer service, the little shop is so cute and chock full of great finds. They have every kind of bra, lingerie, candles, stockings, even some clothes. Yes, it can be a bit more expensive than the more typical VS, but the quality is far better and the customer service is unmatched. You'll absolutely walk out with the best piece for you. I'll be going back soon for sure!

Thanks in part to the candles that are for sale. Honestly. My all time favorite candles are sold at this boutique. The array of lingerie is a dream. They also have beautiful clothing. One of my favorite, luxurious sweaters was purchased here. This is the most sexy, romantic store your guy could ever give you a gift from. Feel free to give yourself a lovely piece from the store. Honestly when I would receive gifts from Galatea the smell from the store would fill the air as I unwrapped my present. It has been some time since I have had a pleasure to visit. I am thinking of making a special trip to the area just for this reason. I am giving this place 5 stars only because 6 was not available. Galatea I adore you, your atmosphere, your aroma, your lovely sales people, the owner, your beautiful lingerie and clothing. Oh how I miss you. PROS: A beautiful selection of lingerie and clothing. Items are well made. The store is very inviting. The staff at Galatea are sweet, warm and genuine. They have the best candles ever. The price range is so that everyone can afford something. Anything that you purchase will be well worth it! The owner has a great eye for style, hence, the reason the selection is terrific. Some basic lines carried are Casabella, Only Hearts, Hanky Panky, 3Dots, Ling and sooo much more!!! When you walk into this you will appreciate how beautiful it is to be a woman! When you leave you will want to come back.

I'll admit, I was nervous to leave NYC's shopping scene behind when I made the move to JC. I was considering living in Hoboken for a while, and Washington St has a ton of really great boutiques. Jersey City? Not so much. There are bars and restaurants as far as the eye can see, but when a gal needs some new clothes a new tapas joint popping up every week just aint gunna cut it. Tia's place is everything that it needs to be. Price points are very reasonable, think similar to Forever 21 or H&M. The clothing selection is stylish and trendy, and if I buy a shirt that goes out of style next season but I get a few good wears out of it I won't feel that bad. They are all stocked up for summer and there was a bountiful selection of maxi dresses and light and flowy chiffon tops when I was in the other day. Tons of cute costume jewelry and tote bags as well. I was hoping that they would have jean shorts but to my dismay there were none. I didn't have my wallet on me but I'll be in again ASAP to buy some cute summer staples.

They also have a video arcade in the back, I don't know if it's rooms or theaters. Prices are just average for a physical store. The first level is packed with toys, lube, and underwear. It's quite packed and it is like a warehouse. Lower level has a few bachelorette party, pride items and some leather harnesses, it looks like a storage room but it's less cramped. The staff isn't gay and have to man the register and video entry, but they were friendly if not enthusiastic. It's not the gay sex store I expected, more like a hardware store with adult items.

No thanks, dude, I was already on my way out. At the top of the steps, there was another dark room where I saw eyeballs leering out. I'm not sure if there is an unannounced fee for that room as well. I rushed past the poppers and out the front door, wondering if the video store on the next block is any better.

When I got…read morehome and tried everything on, I realized one pair of shorts still had the security tag attached. The shorts also didn't fit, so I drove back to the store hoping to exchange them for a different size. I completely understand that stores have policies, and I respect the no-exchange policy. However, I paid in cash and wasn't informed of that policy at checkout, which made the situation a little confusing. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to help or understand the issue, the employee I spoke with seemed to assume I wasn't being truthful about where or when I purchased the item. I was told that I may have bought it at another location, even though this was my first time ever visiting the store and I had purchased multiple items that day. The shorts still had the original tag and security device attached, showing they had never been worn. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just hoping to exchange them for a size that fit after having to make an extra trip because the security tag had been left on. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What left a negative impression was feeling talked down to rather than treated like a valued customer. A little understanding and customer service would have gone a long way.
