HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Over the years, the customer service has degraded to the current point, at which time it is fair to say there is "no customer service." I have called in many times over the years, and during this past year, maybe two now, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a call back (even after leaving your number) OR waiting on line. ....and Im not even exaggerating when I say that I have called customer service, put my phone on speak and left it on hold FOR HOURS....HOURS. Add me to the list of dissatisfied customers of Atlantic Broadband. It was ironic listening to the recordings of the whizbang high speed services they provide when it took over 20 minutes to get a representative to answer the phone. Then to discover that their "seasonal service" is all or nothing. That is, a complete shutdown, phone included (which means freeze alarms won't function), or keep the full internet, TV, etc. running. If a competitor was possible, I'd happily spend another 20-30 minutes on hold just to be able to tell them to go to hell. . read more

We pay 3 times more than Verizon or Xfinity Internet for the WORST service!!!!!! I should have known better the day of installation when the installer had zero clue and just left telling us he will be back later but never showed up. Had to spend another hour on the phone after giving up an entire day of work to make sure I was here for the install appointment. My tv's buffer more than trying to look at porn back in the 90's when using dial up!! Or remember how annoying watching a movie on a scratched DVD used to be? ... well welcome back if you choose this company! More often than not, I have to get off of wifi when searching the internet on our phones because it's SO slow!!!!!!! Every month I go over at least $45+ on data usage through my cell phone carrier because of this. Customer service is ok, but only after waiting on hold for literally an hour. Don't waste your time and save yourself the frustration ... get anything BUT Atlantic Broadband!!!! I can't imagine what could possibly be worse. read more

I wish you could give ZERO stars. Worse cable/internet service I've ever had in my life. The fact is they just don't care about their customers. We've been having trouble with our internet. We've been trying to get a hold of someone for weeks. You sit on hold forever and no one ever picks up. The online chat is the same way. No one ever answers. Starting to think they have no customer service at this point. Main problem is they are the only service in our little town. FIOS is not in this area. Horrific. We returned our equipment beginning of June and are now receiving calls from some ERS equipment recovery collections company. So we call Atlantic Broadband and we're on hold for 30 minutes waiting to speak to a representative. Once she gets on, we explain the situation she then says I'll hVe to transfer you to a supervisor and then again - we are on hold for another 30 minutes. The problem was solved and we had the receipt for returning the equipment but WOW such incompetence and inaccuracies. If I could write a review with 0 stars I would. Customer service is absolutely horrible. They jerk people around on hold and shake people off the phone because they never help anyone anyway. I've been directly lied to multiple times by multiple different SUPERVISORS when completely blindsided by imaginary promotional periods endings (raising my bill $20 every year!?) They send you threatening calls to cancel your service within days if you miss a payment, even if they were the ones to tell you to wait on payment so they can fix the problem with the bill - then act like they don't know what you're talking about. The actual Internet service is shotty at best, lots of disconnections on perfectly sunny days or in the middle of the night when no one else is using it - then they tell you it's your fault and that your equipment (router) just isnt good enough but still won't take responsibility when you waste money on a new one and the service still sucks. And all of that is if you can even make it past waiting on hold for an ungodly length of time. Such a monstrously abhorrid company should not legally be allowed to provide such comprehensively terrible service and still maintain a monopoly over entire areas. We are suffering over here. Please shut these monsters down and give us decent service! read more

AtlanticBB is the worst cable/internet company ever. I have no choice but to use them, because they have a monopoly on my town. Customer Service is always incredibly rude. Nothing is ever easy. I wanted to start a new account after my brother moved out as he was the previous account holder and they demanded to see the Deed to my house and every utility bill showing it's MY house. They suggested a name change on the account, so that's what I called to do only to be advised I needed to fill out a form, but they have no way to get it online, email it to me or fax it to me. I have to leave work early and drive far out of my way to pick up the stupid form. I've never had to deal with a company that is just so inflexible. If you can mail me the form, you can fax it to me. Every time we call, it's a struggle. I cannot wait to move so I don't have to have this company any longer. read more

Absolute dogshit. Lucky if your service works for a day without issues. Half an hour to an hour to talk to anyone. Extremely unhelpful. You'll need a different email/username/password for 3 different websites that never work. Oh and Expect to see your account go up $100 once the first year of the promotion passes, then at least another $70 or more after that. Tried to talk to support and after waiting 30+ minutes they hung up on me as I was explaining my issues. If I saw the owner of this company I wouldn't hesitate to beat him with a TiVo box. When trying to reach this company you are put on hold for up to an hour. Then when you do get someone on the phone most of the time they don't even know how to fix the problem. They are too busy blaming you for the problem. They treat you like you are a total moron. The only reason we have service through them is they are the only ones available where we live. I decided to switch my phone/cable to Atlantic Broadband to save money. I had to pay one month in advance of $125.43 which was automatically deducted from my bank account on 8-17-17. The following week a tech came out and discovered we were too far out to receive their service. Ok. The following week I called to see where is my refund of $125.43. 1st call: it will be back in your account soon or you will receive a check in the mail. 2nd call: it was mailed out today you should get it on Friday. 3rd call: told me she didn't know why I was told that because she can see on the computer that the check processing just started today and if I don't receive it by Oct 2nd to call back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?? They wanted their money immediately and now I am still waiting for mine for over a month! They automatically debited my account within days but they cannot credit my account within days. It astounds me that each time you call you get a different answer. Very disappointed. read more
