I've always been a fan of the smaller bookshop, the idea that you can walk in and quietly browse in what amounts to a virtual library where the friendly librarian person is only too happy to help. This bookshop is one such place.
On the occasions that I've been in the shop keeper has always been ready with a smile and a cheerful Hello! and whilst I've never purchased a book from the shop that has more to do with the shoddy state of my wallet than the shop itself.
For what seems like such a small store by today's standards they have a good range of books by top authors as well as those who are less often sought, which is what these types of shop are really about in my opinion. Pricing doesn't really vary a great deal between book shops unless you're going to the discount ones, although the last discount book shop I used went bust go figure. read more
