Thank you HS Therapy Associates. I sustained a serious rotator cuff injury in February 2021…read more Surgery followed shortly after, then 6 weeks in a pillow sling. The surgeon then authorized PT twice a week to begin recovery of range of motion and strength. I choose to go to HS Therapy Associates and found Dr. Ciuba and his staff to be very professional, supportive and fun to work with. The program he set for me through both office and home PT, began with basics then advancing as my shoulder continued to heal. The stretching and strengthening exercises were varied and valuable. At my three month post surgery visit with the surgeon, he said he was "pleasantly surprised" at my progress due to the extent of my injury. He authorized another round of PT to keep up the good progress. This past Monday I met with the surgeon for my five month post surgery visit. I had regained virtually 100% range of motion and with significant strength improvement, he released me from his care. I would highly recommend that you investigate HS Therapy Associates should you need PT services. While PT can be hard while going through the necessary program it can be "fun" with Dr. Ciuba. Thank you again for your great service!

The program focuses on improving strength, mobility, posture and balance and teaching patients proper bending mechanics for the ultimate goal of reducing the risk of a compression fracture. Dr. Ciuba has been educated in the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Program, completing Level 3 instruction. He is able to apply this knowledge in the performance of biomechanical evaluations of golfers, as well as instruction in an appropriate exercise program to improve your game. H/S Physical Therapy is unique in our approach to the rehabilitation of sports injuries. We see a variety of patients, from basketball players with ACL tears and reconstruction, to soccer players with chronic ankle sprains, to baseball players who have rotator cuff injuries, and many more! Our approach to the rehabilitation of sports injuries is quite different than other clinics in the region based on our vast sports training knowledge. The competitive nature of athletics usually calls for a more aggressive approach, and the specific demands of a given sport often require the intervention to be "sports specific".

Then the nurse told me they won't discuss my MRI over the phone, that I would need to drive another 40 minutes and pay another $140 copay just to tell me my results. When I asked why they can't just tell me on the phone (which is something even my cancer doctor does) she said "talk to your insurance" and scurried out of the room. I assumed my appt was over and left ‍ Overall an unpleasant, apathetic experience

During that entire time, they never performed an X-ray or proper imaging. I was repeatedly told that I had plantar fasciitis ( and I thought I did ) and was treated for that diagnosis. After continuing to have severe pain, I sought another opinion. An X-ray was finally done, and it showed that I actually have a bone spur. Because the correct diagnosis was missed for so long, the condition has worsened and I now need surgery. Instead of identifying the root cause of the problem, my pain was simply masked with temporary treatments. If proper imaging had been done earlier, this could have been diagnosed and treated appropriately. as soon as the podiatrist touched my ankle and foot he said he could feel the problem lets take a xray to confirm he touched my foot and knew .... I would strongly encourage others to seek a provider who performs thorough evaluations and proper diagnostic testing before making a long-term diagnosis. i went monthly to this doctor office and never did they do any imagining. New doc did an image 5 minutes walking in front door and showed me the issues immediately and said this could have been avoided or at least not as painful and or bad... DO NOT GO HERE . Dr Monaco do better, get xrays and get patients help, don't mask issues. How could you not feel the issues the podiatrists immediately knew ...

In the beginning I was in real crisis - stopped work, couldn't walk around the block, sleep or really function at all for the first year before I was diagnosed. At that time they were very kind to me. There was one therapist I didn't want to work with as I was in intolerable pain during the session and for days afterwards, but I was fine working with the other three wonderful therapists. Then one left and another stopped coming in as much. I still felt very comfortable seeing the one who was still working and for the past year I've happily seen him for my sessions with no problem that I was aware of. Yesterday one of the owners (Kim) was in the office - I didn't recognize her so I guess she's not in much when I have been. I saw that the July schedule was open and asked if I could make my July appointments. She said that she wouldn't schedule me as I wasn't following their rules despite being "talked to about it before". Her tone was really rude. I haven't been talked to about it at all and thought it was fine for me to see the therapist I was comfortable with. No-one has ever mentioned an issue when I've made appointments before and staff are usually very pleasant. Kim sounded utterly disgusted with me and I guess wanted to be sure that I knew how she felt about me. It was a shock as I had no idea who she was and I don't think (?) I've spoken to her in the past couple of years. I'm still giving the practice 3 stars because I really do think they can be great, and I've seen good improvement on my health. I'm just really sad that she was so rude to me yesterday. Maybe she was having a bad day and wanted to flex her muscles at my expense? Kim has apparently given a conflicting version of what happened - but there was a young girl sitting at the front desk who must have heard most of it. I would say go to this practice and hope that you don't get on the wrong side of Kim. Now I am stopping PT cold turkey until I can find somewhere else to go. It's a disappointing end as I have recommended them so many times over the past two years. I still do, just with caveats. Kim can be seriously mean without warning and I was quite upset when I left.

Nothing but great things to say about the team here and the work they do. Friendly front office,…read moreeasy checkin process, and plenty of parking. Lots of great people, all working to help you get back you. No judging -- just helpful, incremental progress to help instill a self-help mindset to accomplish your goals. The team here really goes above and beyond and always has each other's backs. I've been to other PT spots but this feels like a combined team effort, and with much brighter and sports-oriented facility. That said, it's a complete mix of demographics and ages of patients. So regardless of whether you're an 18 year old trying to get back in the game, or an 80 year old that just needs to regain their balance, this is a great place for you.

Between the two of them, I was able to regain full use of my arm & shoulder. Before I began PT, I was barely able to drive, shower, do household chores, cook, or sleep without extreme pain. I am now able to do all of the above with ease and full range of motion. Erin and Nick are professional, pleasant to be around, and really know what they're doing. They are truly dedicated to helping people. My first day there, Erin developed an effective home exercise plan for me, which I will continue doing now that formal PT has ended. I would highly recommend BMSR to anyone who is in need of PT. In general, the facility is large, clean, cheerfully decorated and filled with state-of-the-art equipment. Their music selection is upbeat and inspires you to get moving. I had no issues with billing, scheduling etc. Staff at the desk were extremely helpful and nice. Five stars out of five!
