I saw the other reviews and felt that I needed to provide a different insight. I have used ATI Pike Creek 4 times ( torn groin, hip issues, knee issues, total knee replacement) always found them competent and friendly. Never a problem with billing, maybe my insurance company is easier to work with. Even though multiple therapists treated me, the program was coordinated via their system. Each therapist knew what had been done and what was next. The 4 that I worked with were all excellent and knowledgeable. Thanks ATI read more

*** Guys ... get it together !! *** Eric - you are constantly being interrupted by your peers ... you never had more than 30 seconds uninterrupted time with me and your lack of attention was apparent. Example - twice you said you wanted to stem and ice my back and both times you forgot. You are also overbilling ... presumably because you never have time to log while I am there. You were clearly not prepared for me today or did not feel that my time with you was important enough. Come on guys .... you can do better ... I deserve better! I deserve your attention and care for my treatment every visit, especially when you are billing me upwards of $400 for 45 minutes of treatment !!!! So far not so good. Husbands 1st apt last week after having ankle surgery they sent home with exercises, trustingly he diligently followed instructions. 2nd visit this week with a different PT he was told to press his foot completely to the floor???...finally reading his chart, they realized he was supposed to be doing NOTHING on that ankle/foot for weeks to come!!! I have been doing therapy for 6 weeks now. They refuse to follow the doctor's instructions. I called before choosing them and asked several questions and all were answered with a yes. I get there and we are treated like cattle. You could be working with 3 or 4 different people. Even during the initial assesment my appointment was interrupted by my therapist working with several people at one time. There are only 1 or 2 therapists there at a time. The rest are college students that are doing work shadowing. One therapist named Mitch is a mess. He is too busy running his other business of construction while at work. He also participated in a pepper eating contest while at work. Check reviews on website. There is no cleaning of the equipment after use and have gotten sick after appointments. I will never attend this therapy clinic in Muncie again. read more

Short summary: This place overbooks to get as many patients in as possible. I did not get quality care and was often forgotten about while there for my four visits. In contrast I have had two very positive experiences with Performance Physical Therapy over the years. I can't say much about the other ATI therapists or ATI branches, but I know where I'm going from now on. Detail: Picked this place because of the convenient location. What a mistake that was. I went here for four visits before I decided it was not worth my time or money. Red flags from the first visit. I worked with Jeff and Nicki. Both nice people, but unfortunately unable to give me enough time for care. They were usually juggling 3-4 patients at the same time slot, meaning I spent a lot of time waiting around for the next instructions. A couple other times, Jeff had phone calls double booked with my time, so I didn't even get to see him or get to ask questions. Yet they always made sure I got the laser treatment, which I suspect may have been another way to bill more $ from my insurance. On the other hand I'm now at Performance for the same issue. From day 1 I got 1 on 1 uninterrupted care from someone who took more time to evaluate and answer questions. I went to performance 2 yrs ago for a back issue and had the exact same kind of good experience. Definitely worth the longer drive. read more

I can't disparage the therapists who worked with me. However, I would never patronize ATI PT again due to its corporate policies. A previous reviewer likened the patients to cattle, and I find that characterization to be true. I felt sorry for my therapists because of the level of overbooking. Rarely were "my" therapists (except for the one providing PT for "women's health" issues thank goodness) able to work with me for any sustained amount of time, and at least one of the assistants working with me usually seemed to want to be anywhere but at work. Additionally, one therapist assigned to my case was changed without notifying me before I arrived for my appointment. If that weren't enough, ATI's billing practices are completely UN-patient-friendly. After several visits, I was asked to start making a "co-payment" (I have traditional PPO NOT HMO insurance) before receiving service. Because I was already being treated, I complied. When I started receiving bills and attempting to pay them, I found that MULTIPLE accounts had been set up for me. Despite several phone inquiries, the reason for this was never explained to me. I now find myself paying a bill for service I received 7 months ago that was processed by my insurer about 7 months ago but for some reason was "buried" in an additional account of which I was not aware. I have attempted to verify the online record for this paper bill but cannot find the record for this one of my FOUR supposed accounts. This has made me very confused, frustrated, and angry because I cannot verify that I not being overcharged. I'm sorry I ever went to ATI. read more

MAJOR BILLING ISSUES- UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF Seemed unorganized when I arrived. I provided insurance info at visit. They never billed. Received 1st bill 9 months later saying 90 days past due. Sent in writing with copy of my insurance card asking them to bill. 2 months later received another past due bill. Recent again insurance jnfo. Now collection agency bill, disputing through them for ATI to actually bill my insurance they will be paid 100%. read more

Two of their employees gave a presentation about nutrition and conditioning/injury prevention to my college club. They covered the extreme basics, and almost all the advice they gave was misinformed at best and frequently flat out wrong. They clearly do not take training seriously, and I would not trust the advice they give. read more

I have had two therapy appointments so far and both were to my expectations or better. They were at the Pike Creek facility. I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and the therapist and her assistant.The therapist decided what exercises I needed She took care of the major ones and her assistant took care of the minor ones.The waiting time between exercises was minimal and I didn't mind the little rest at all. I knew they had other patients and were in calling distance if I needed them. i am well satisfied and will continue coming until my pain gone. read more

This was my first PT experience. My first appointment was a general consultation with the therapist where she examined me and we discussed my issue. The therapist was pleasant and I enjoyed working with her. However with my next appointments they would book 3 or 4 people at a time for each therapist. The therapist would check in on you and get you started and then either tell you what exercises to do on your own or hand you off to another employee who wasn't a licensed therapist. While doing the "exercises" my therapist wasn't there for me to tell her if they irritated my injury, etc. I felt left on my own and that I could be doing the exercises by myself at home instead of paying them way too much money. The exercises were not working and the therapist didn't really have any new ideas for me so I stopped going. The only reason why they get 2 stars is because the therapist was nice .
