I was told to ice it and start PT. When I started with the PT specialist, they immediately flagged my condition as serious and recommended I talk to the folks at LWSS. I met with Dr. Chimes and he was the first doctor that took the time to listen to the issues I was experiencing. Dr. Chimes is direct and blunt in his feedback, a trait some may not like but I really appreciated. Dr. Chimes got me setup for a MRI that took place @3pm. He called me on his day off at 8:30 the next morning to get me in contact with a surgeon. Until I met with the folks at LWSS, I was feeling pretty abandoned by the healthcare industry. I can't emphasize enough my appreciation for them taking my condition serious and putting me on the right track.

This is my full update review (I have removed my prior). TL;DR at bottom…read more I saw Doctor Chimes around one year ago for intense hip and back pain. Right away, it was clear he cares more about his personal time than his patients. He told me he wanted yes or no answers and not explanations to his questions (and wouldn't really let me explain things in full even when it would clarify things). After my MRI, which showed multiple spinal issues (bulging, herniated, parse defect, which is a fracture) and bursitis in the hip, he gave me a shot for the bursitis that had already begun healing on its own. During this time, I continually try to tell him the pain is not in the location of the bursitis anymore. He continually ignores or even speaks over me. At the end, I am again trying to tell him I feel pain elsewhere in my hip even though there is a little reduction after the shot (but I was numbed, so of course it would hurt less). To test my pain, he had me stand up from my chair...once. Worse, when we were done and I was alone in the room, when I tried to get up to put my pants on, the pain was so intense I collapsed. This pain happened again when I got home and tried to take one step up the stairs. During our last appointment, instead of listening to me, he tells me "Your pain doesn't match the MRI", and that tells me I'm about to be dismissed, but then it got worse. He continues with, "In his professional opinion, you just need internal pelvic floor PT". Why? Because I'm a woman...and he asked me 2 or 3 YES or NO questions around sex and did not let me explain the answers... I told him I didn't think so, but he disagreed. Well, after speaking with a Pelvic Floor specialist, she disagreed with his assessment. So, instead of doing that, I went to Evergreen Sports and Spine and met with a new doctor who actually took my pain seriously. With his help and a new PT, another MRI of my hip WITH contrast (he was surprised that Dr. Chimes didn't order contrast as it's needed for specific tears in the hip), we found that I had a CAM Morphology, that should have been showing up on my other X-rays and MRIs, but apparently weren't spotted and/or reported...and that I had a tear in the Labrum of my right hip. Later, they also found I had a small pincer as well. So, a double impingement. I had to have surgery because the surgeon I spoke with next agreed that the tear was too large to not do surgery if I wanted to not be in pain. No arguing. No trying to talk me out of it. They immediately agreed it was the best course of action. I had surgery April 2nd of 2024 to remove my CAM and the Pincer they found, and then repair the labrum. While I'm still in recovery, my pain is down 80% of the time outside of flareups when I over exercise during my strength training. I would never send a woman to him, as she will be dismissed. I was in so much pain that I was crying after collapsing at the office during my last visit. The only reason I am giving this location a 2-star is because the women at the front were incredibly nice. This review is leaving out a lot of other smaller issues I had during my short time there. Maybe if you're a man, it'll be worth it, but if you're a woman, go elsewhere. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this office or Dr. Chimes. TL;DR, Dr. Chimes ignored what I said and then gave a sexist course of action due to my gender. New doctor 2 months later discovered the issue and that I needed hip surgery to remove two bone defects and a tear in my labrum. I have now had surgery and am doing well in recovery with a large reduction in pain.

They took this trip out of town because my family member wasn't achieving effective results, guidance or follow up with the surgeon in her area. She also regularly receives specialty care at UW but again, wanted to see Hubert Lee because his reviews painted him in a wonderful light. He was such the polar opposite of his reviews that, in their words, they 'felt like they got catfished by a doctor'. They were early for their appointment, my niece is an advocate for her senior citizen mother, they were polite and Hubert Lee's body language and choice of words spoke to both my senior citizen family member and RN daughter like they were completely wasting his time, acted as if they were weird for going out of their town for care which is common practice and the reason people pay high prices for flexible insurance. DPM Hubert Lee rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed, stared outside the window on multiple occasions not listening while my elderly family member was speaking to him, tapped his feet in annoyance and seemed annoyed by everything. Their words 'the entire visit from entry to exit was as if he couldn't get out of our visit fast enough'. Since so many of his other patients have had excellent experiences - this highly suggests he either discriminated against my senior citizen mother due to her age, was annoyed by them being female (sexism) or is racist. Or this man pays for some business promotion and PR firm that falsely inflates his positive reviews and ratings. They went on Mothers Day weekend hoping for a better experience as she's heartbroken with all the pain and loss of function in her feet. I can't imagine all his positive reviews are genuine and my healthcare provider family member said people should really stay away from someone that treats patients this poorly at all but especially in front of their own adult child. Excellent care, start to finish. I had a ski accident at 70 that really took me out; dislocated…read moreshoulder, broken collarbone, torn hamstring, dislocated finger. Dr Roban gave me a good education and advice about how to rehab the finger, Dr Mickelson made space for me to get the hamstring reattached before the 3 week window. The collar bone did not heal, so after giving it a chance, and imaging showed torn rotator cuff (two places, large tear), Dr Mickelson did a collar bone realignment and plate together with the rotator cuff repair. Clyde Johnson has been great at PT. My hamstring repair was a great success and healed rapidly, the rotator cuff has been a long term PT experience but is showing continuous improvement and I am confident that it will be near 100%. I take the rehab seriously, set up equipment at home for daily work. I have found Proliance to be an excellent service and am very grateful that they have helped me through this time of healing and repair.

In long My lovely bride had a massive stroke about 18 months ago, and managing the pain and tremors that resulted sometimes lands her in the ER. Most of the ERs up here in south Snohomish County are underwhelming one way or another, but the Overlake clinic on 196th is amazing. They see you almost immediately. Only disadvantage is having to go to Bellevue if you need to be admitted. She ended up spending 2 nights here at one point this summer, and everything was very well handled. Doctors and nurses were right on top of everything, and got her pain under control quickly. The CNAs handled bed and clothing changes quickly and comfortably. She had a big, well-lit room. She ordered food a couple times, and even with her reduced appetite of late, she was able to eat heartily. She's not one to just go with it when food is below par, either--no matter how hungry she is. Overall, I don't want to come to learn how good lots of different hospitals are, but this is our life now, and Overlake stood out from the rest for quality of care, efficiency, and the compassion of the staff, too.
