I have been a patient of Dr. Paula Davis while she was still at KU MC and KU Med west…read more Followed her all the way to Lee's Summit. My mother absolutely adores( adored ) her. Sad shd retired 3 or 4 years go. I am a health professional and exceptional care is very important to me. I had an appointment today . I arrived 1 or 2 minutes late and front staff had already gone to see if the " new" Dr. Davis would still see me. By the way the front office staff is the absolute best as far as caring, informative, friendly and all around absolute " dears"!!! I was told I had to reschedule!! I know patients being on time is important but in 38 years of practicing myself, I have NEVER told a patient to reschedule at 2 minutes late! As a matter of fact from a professional courtesy point of view, the staff should have never had to ask " if" I could still be seen. To each their own. . I have an appointment in 4 days and will consider whether to remain a patient at Family Care at Arbor Walk to honor the huge success Dr. Paula Davis (and Dr. Britton- Meilisch ) are now having.I also live in Overland Park so quite a drive to see a " great" doc Dr. Paula was ( she would have never told me to reschedule ) I thoroughly understand " running on time" and respecting appointment times plus the staff and patients'time and lastly " office policies" BUT 2 minutes late!!@*#!@!! But I will consider the professional courtesy that was not extended to me. 2 stars for today. Otherwise 5 stars for front office staff. 4 stars for Dr. Brityon- Meilisch( seen as an emergency at KU Medwest and Arbor Walk.

The first year I drove to OP for doctor needs but 45 minutes was longer than I wanted to drive so I looked around Raymore for a doctor. I found Raymore Medical Group near the house and made my first appointment with Dr. Mohan. Dr. Mohan is personable, always answers questions, makes suggestions and I have never had any complaints about the medical care. The office staff is good to work with in terms of scheduling appointments or making a change when my work schedule requires. The only problem with Raymore Medical Group is the billing which seems random to almost dishonest. I have not been to the doctor for years needing anything other than a refill for prescriptions. I pay out of pocket and the visits were $89 with a discount if I paid the same day. The last few visits the charges started to vary from $120 to $160 so I asked for an explanation of why the price for the same thing has almost doubled. I actually looked at changing doctors over this since the billing lady said she had no idea and that the doctor sets the prices for each visit after the visit (makes no sense to me). After explaining the last 8 visits were only for the same refill on meds, nothing more or less I asked what the charge would be to come back for another prescription check up...and they once again told me they did not know. I run a company and if I told any customer or potential customer that I had no idea how much it would cost them I cannot imagine how anyone would ever buy from us. I know the economy is tough but not telling patients what they are charging or why they are charging different prices for the same services seems wrong. The medical care is fine, the billing and customer service needs to be fixed.

MY DECEMBER 2, 2020 APPOINTMENT IS CANCELLED. I found the treatments that I got were very limited…read more Dr. Long spent about 5 to 10 minutes with me and never spent the time to get to the actual root of the problem. His two massage therapists even promised free chair massages and they were laid off when I got there. I never saw them even once the entire time I spent there. I had to pay another chiropractor twice to diagnose the problems with my knee. When I have a chiropractic appointment for an hour, I prefer a chiropractor who spends 45 to 50 minutes actually finding the source of the problem. I will do a gym membership separately. From early February through July 21, 2020, I received four injections which Dr. Long says is the main reason that I was being charged a total amount of $6,300. I was charged half up front and then was required to pay $500 a month in order to complete the treatments. From what I was told the treatments would not end until December, 2020. The re-evaluation was supposed to take place in September, after 30 treatments or when the treatments cured the dislocated miniscus muscle. I am still having problems with the knee. Another chiropractor will be treating me. Dr. Long wants to add another $3,150 for another round of four shots and his 10 minute treatments every three weeks. From August through December he would charge $50 a month to use his gym equipment. He recommends more stem cell therapy. My December 2, 2020 appointment is cancelled becauseI wont go back there. If I need more stem cell therapy I will order it on line for $150, for a three month supply of stem cell therapy, not $3,150 plus gym membership. JULY 21, 2020 WAS THE LAST APPOINTMENT WITH EMPOWER MEDICAL CENTER. I wouldn't recommend Empower Medical Center to my friends. I do not appreciate people who quote one price and then add additional prices later. The roughly $10,000 or more is much more than I can handle. Susan Miller

I had a 1.30 appointment. I arrived early....1.15. I went to the front desk with my 2 necessary…read morecards in hand and thanks to an EXTREMELY rude skinny woman (I do know her name) turned it into a nightmare for no other reason than she didnt feel a need to speak anymore words than we're absolutely necessary. She tells me my insurance is not valid and she ran my medicare and i owe her money. I stated I didnt understand about the canceled insurance and she told me it was invalid and handed me back my debit card after charging me. While this is going on I'm looking at the clock and it is 1.45. There are no other patients in the building and the rude nasty woman states they will see me when they return from lunch. Mind you I am ill I can weasing so loud it sounds like theres a cat meowing in the room. I told her to give me a refund grabbed my 3 year old granddaughter and went to my car in tears. After crying a bit and using my inhaler I was getting calm to drive away and one of the nurses comes outside looking for me. I was so sick I had to go back in. So I take the 3 yr old out if her carseat and go back in. I get what I need and leave. Back at the car I called uhc to find out what was wrong with my insurance. Uhc cancelled it because they sent forms to be completed and they were not returned. J called my broker...thank the lord for that awesome man...he looks up my account and states yes it was canceled because dr. Christine moores office did not complete the forms and return them as requested. I explained my experience at the office that day and he knew exactly who the skinny nasty woman was from his calls to that office for his business. He said he gave her the benefit of the doubt about her rudeness the first couple of times but she continued to behave the same way everytime he decided she was plain ole mean. All this woman had to do is talk to me about my insurance so I would understand it had been canceled or refer to uhc to find out the problem but she did nothing and never had any intention to be courteous. It absolutely floors me that their office is the reason I had no insurance. If they didnt want to process the forms then I should have been contacted or if they wanted me to pay the extremely high prices they have posted to do paperwork I would have had the option of paying. But NOTHING WAS DONE BUT CHARGE ME MONEY. Another GREAT QUESTION...WHY DO YOU MAKE 1.30 APPOINTMENTS WHEN YOU ARENT GOING TO BE THERE! Because my insurance was canceled I also had to pay a high price for my prescriptions. I have been to that office multiple times and have talked to them on the phone and they have always been very pleasant and helpful. I dont know where that nasty piece of work at the front desk came from but I can't imagine ever having to walk in or communicate with them again. The doctors and nurses were great when they finally arrived.

Dr. Moore is very passionate about her patients. She genuinely cares and so does her nurse…read morepractitioner, Diane. The staff is awesome as well. I can honestly say that I've been diagnosed with my symptoms almost as soon as I describe my concerns. Dr. Moore's office is also a teaching doctors office, so you may see a resident but they are learning from one of the best. I feel if I was not comfortable seeing a resident, they wouldn't have a problem with that. I have a phobia of needles and have hidden veins and the phlebotomist, Kari, knows this - no matter how long I've been away. From the office. When she sees me enter the lab by another phlebotomist, she will say, "I got her". I would recommend anyone to go see Dr. Moore or Christine.
