I am still in process of receiving PT at this facility. I already have spent over 2 months here. I…read moream healing from surgery on my shoulder. Now I must start by saying,,, I HATE THE IDEA OF PHYSICAL THERAPY. I have seen my fair share of PT over my many years for various reasons. I have been treated poorly, ignored, prodded, poked and left on my own doing exercises not knowing if what I was doing was right, or for that matter watch my progression. With that being said,,, the therapist at MVHPT on Stroop Road are very professional, attentive, caring and genuinely concerned about your progression in healing. I have the same therapist everytime I go there so she knows exactly how I am feeling. She asks all the right questions, stays in the room and actually watches me. Listens to me. I have a very labor intensive job with heavy lifting and a lot of repetitive movements. My therapist, Jamie, has cleverly reconfigured some of the exercises to mimic exactly what I do at work so I will be ready when released to full duty. Now that, I say, is someone who does her job well. I also want to add that even on my cranky in pain down days the conversation is great, with laughter or common interest or current events. I guess the only downfall is, you lose count when exercising. But she watches, the job gets done and right. This is no assembly line shop. All the personnel including the receptionists are truly nice people. I recommend this place exclusively.

The wait is usually pretty short. Ashley is an incredible rehab therapist. She's super knowledgeable and always has a ton of great recommendations for my various issues. She's always coming up with new, effective exercises, like weights, bands, stretching, and bodyweight stuff. It's like she has a secret weapon! The chiropractic staff is super friendly and approachable. They really take the time to get to know each patient, and it makes a big difference. They bring a great personality and care to IPMD, making it feel like a real experience. Dr. Dooley is absolutely fantastic! He's like a magic doctor who can make even the toughest joints snap, crackle, and pop. And the best part? He has these super warm and friendly conversations with each patient. I've been to chiropractors in five different states, Germany, and Dr. Dooley is hands down the best I've ever found. Special thanks to the outstanding team at IPMD and the fantastic adjustments by Dr. Dooley. I will be coming back as often as I can.

I'm deeply disappointed in my experience with this practice. My husband had a great experience with…read moreDr. Steimle for both knee replacements, so I expected to be in good hands for my partial meniscectomy. Unfortunately, poor communication has consistently derailed my recovery. **Nerve complication:** I developed a rare nerve injury from the pre-surgery nerve block, causing excruciating nerve pain in my right foot that at first shot all the way up my right leg. In the days following surgery, I visited the ED once and called the on-call physician twice about the pain. The second call was particularly discouraging -- before I could finish a sentence, Dr. Matt Heckler interrupted me and said in a scolding tone, "Look, you either need to go to the emergency room, or you need to just CHILL. I can't diagnose you over the phone!" The nerve pain has persisted since surgery. Again, the nerve complication itself is not Dr. Steimle's fault -- but Dr. Heckler's response to it made me feel like he thought I was just being "dramatic" in reaction to "normal" post-surgical pain, when there was nothing "normal" about it. **PT referral:** I expected to start PT the week after surgery. Instead, either the referral was never sent or never went through. I only found out at my 3-week follow-up, when the assistant resent it -- and we still had to follow up with the PT clinic directly to confirm they'd received it (they hadn't). I started PT roughly 5 weeks into what should have been a 6- to 8-week recovery window. **PT attendance and the office manager:** I have coexisting health conditions (IBS and a medication with unpredictable GI side effects) that forced several cancellations. One week, I left a single voicemail canceling both Monday and Wednesday appointments specifically to avoid a last-minute cancellation on Wednesday. PT marked Wednesday as a no-show anyway. When the office manager called, she implied twice that I was lying -- once about leaving the Wednesday cancellation voicemail, and again when she insisted I'd been given a direct phone number to PT at my first appointment. I had not. My appointment printout listed the main office number she'd just told me I was wrong to call. ‍ **In-home PT referral:** Given my health situation, in-home PT made far more sense. Besides, I didn't appreciate the way the PT clinic office manager treated me, so I cancelled clinic PT, and requested a referral to in-home PT on January 25 by voicemail and through the Healow portal. No response until I sent another message on February 3 -- when the assistant replied that she'd send the referral, though she found it "unnecessary." It was apparently never sent. As of March 6, the home health agency had no record of receiving anything. After another message, I finally got confirmation today (March 11) that the referral went through today. I start in-home PT tomorrow -- over three months after surgery. My knee currently hurts worse than it did before the procedure. I sincerely hope the delay hasn't caused lasting harm.

THIS is the moment I've been dreaming of ever since the injury so long ago that in one step took my running dream from me and convinced me I'd never run again. Today, thanks to the team of professionals at Drayer, I am victorious! Today, I ran. Not just some little baby run, careful and wobbly, reserved and hesitant. Oh no. I'm talking about the kind of run that sets my wild spirits free, lets me feel the wind in my hair, and air beneath my wings! This is the unrestrained power in the graceful gallop of wild horses, as they discover what it means to be alive! The kind of run that inspires me and fills me with electric excitement as I internalize the possibility of reaching my ultimate goal is not lost after all: running from Dayton to Cincinnati. YES! I want to DO that!! I'm *going* to do that someday! I can and I will! These guys will be with me training up to it, and these guys will get the credit after I do. Without them, it wouldn't be possible. I have my life back. Thanks to the incredible experts at Drayer Physical Therapy (DOC) my dream is not dead, I am stronger than I've ever been, and I CAN RUN!! Do you have any idea how that makes me feel?! Oh my GOSH! Indescribable!! Just when I thought it was over, little had I known the real story line, my main adventure, had only just begun. THANK YOU, ERIC & TEAM!!! (I'll edit to add names later, I've GOT to post this now!) *I had chosen to save the writing of my review for this particular moment so I could share it with you, dear reader, straight from the heart and now I have. Today is the day I was *finally* able to run again to the fullest extent of my ability - without fear, without pain, knowing I am strong and well balanced, and ready to take the next steps toward achieving my performance dreams. It's not me, it's them. That's good news for all of us--because it means if you need help healing from an injury (sports injury or otherwise) they CAN help you! You can have your life back! I can't believe I waited years before I listened to my primary care doc and finally did it. Don't be like me. LOL If you have something you need help with, aches pains and physical disability/injury, PLEASE contact them, prepare to work hard, do your home exercises and make sure to thank them when you're better! Wow, guys. Thank you. *sniff* I'm forever grateful. Jessie
