She was not only incapable of doing any physical therapy, but was unable to feed herself or lift a cup of water to her mouth. We went to see her and her lips were dry and chapped so we brought the water straw to her mouth so she could drink. Her eyes stayed closed and she moaned and cried the entire time we were there. I tried to ask her questions but she couldn't answer us. She was like this for days. They eventually sent her back to the hospital where she awoke several hours later with no recollection of what had happened. I feel sorry for the patients that have no one to advocate for them.

I am eternally grateful for their professionalism and care they took of my mother who was there for just over two years. As an EMT I Have been to many nursing homes from the very best to the very worst, and in my experience, the Poughkeepsie Pines Is right at the top of that List. Whenever there was an issue with my mother, they immediately called me, Whether it was her needing A shot or vaccine or she slipped out of her wheelchair. I immediately got a call. My mother was not always the easiest person to work with, but somehow they Gained her trust and truly cared for her. I would visit my mom pretty much weekly and often bring my puppies that she absolutely adored, there would be times that I would arrive and she would complain of a cough or an issue and of course I would go right down to the nurses station to See if they were going to do something about it and to my amazement, they always knew about the problem or complaint and had already started taking action before I could say anything. They would have a quarterly meeting to review patients statuses, Nurse, physical therapist, social service, Nutritionist, sometimes as much as 5 to 6 people on the phone As They would include me in their conference call to Review my mother's status. They We're on top of her daily needs and long-term needs as we were all able to work together to keep my mother happy and comfortable. Office Staff never calls backhand could care less how residents are treated. As long as they are paid for your care that's all that matters.. PT OT was good just far too short for a rehab facility. 5 star reviews are a joke ignore them.

Took my daughter to this ER. This was one of the worst ER…read moreexperiences I have ever had. I drove two hours to help my daughter, who was suffering from excruciating head pain. She was placed in a hallway in a chair and left there for hours without being attended to. After waiting more than four hours, I went to the nurses' station to address the lack of care. It is unacceptable that no one checked on her during that time. Shortly afterward, several nurses gathered and began discussing me. One nurse, who was tall and wearing pink scrubs, rudely threatened to have me removed for "disruption." I was not disruptive; I was advocating for my daughter, who was in severe pain. The behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. Patients and their families deserve timely care, communication, and basic courtesy.
