We have a satellite surgery in our Village and this has a Pharmacy in it, the Pharmacy staff are simply excellent in managing medication and queries and nothing is too much trouble. I for one value greatly the NHS staff working at Central Surgery.

Lately I have become…read moremore and more frustrated, you can't get an appointment unless you are lucky enough to be the first caller of the day at 8am, by 8.30am all the appointments have gone yet you can't pre book for an appointment unless it's for 4 weeks in advance at the Goxhill surgery! The phone system is now automated and by the time you've pressed 1 for this or 2 for that you've wasted 5 minutes, just when you think you're going to speak to someone it says "You're in a queue ......". You almost never see your own Doctor and, if by some small miracle, you do get an appointment, you can expect to wait for up to an hour over your allotted time before actually seeing a GP. Even if you have no medication left a repeat prescription won't be issued without a review .... for which you need an appointment! So best of luck, try asking for your review a month before it's due, you may get an appointment at some stage but it probably won't be with your own Doctor. I'm now registered with a different surgery.

The doctors also struggled to take blood successfully. Similar things happened when my grandma stayed in hull royal a few years ago, it's like the staff didn't care! Some of the staff are brill but others are just very stuck up. The a&e service is good though and I have to say that the maternity ward and the staff there are the best thing about the hospital, but if your ill avoid this hospital like the plague, especially if you need any surgery. I know someone who had surgery and got infected and had to spend weeks in hospital and is still on agony to this day.
