I have a good friend whose Grandmother lives at Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. My friend is in constantly to visit her Grandmother - and she does volunteer work at Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as well. She volunteered to take me on a tour of the facility. I was astonished at the difference in ambiance. The place felt good - it has a nice vibe to it. And it was clean. The staff are on top of everything. She knew many of the residents and we stopped and chatted with some in the hallway, in the dining room - everyone was so happy here! We visited with her Grandmother for a while and she told me several times how much she likes the place. She commented to me several times that the food is very good. I asked my friend what the response times were on average when a resident pressed the "call" button. She told me around 30 seconds or so. Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is fully committed to the Planetree patient-centered care alliance. The Planetree philosophy is a holistic approach to patient care that encompasses the body, mind and spirit, and encourages the participation of family and friends in care and rehabilitation. http://planetree.org/ The facility is very popular due to their level of care and service. So it's hard to get someone in - hopefully if you have a loved one that needs this level of care - you'll be able to get them into Fauquier Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center!

Pro tip: if you person in the facility needs something specific it is best to go every day. Nearly every time someone from my family could not see my dad for a day he would get dehydrated. Also keep an eye on a catheter if they have one. If and when they are changed keep an eye that the bag is filling (gross, but important). The other good thing about this facility is how close it is to fauquier hospital, in case something happens. There are different wings depending on need. The rooms are rather small, but do the job. There is a small area for visitng with drinks and coffee and water. there is also free internet.

Blue Ridge Psychological Center was recommended to me by my primary care physician for finding a…read more"Licensed Professional Counselor" (LCP) to talk with about what I was going through when my Mother passed away last year. There is to this day a stigma surrounding mental health issues. But we as a society need to talk about them - as there is a lot that can be done to help folks out when they need help. Before last year - I never understood why anyone would need to go talk to someone such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, or counselor. But I learned the hard way last summer. My hope is that in writing this review - it will help out others - to let them that know that they need to pursue assistance, get help, talk about these issues and get the issues into the light of day - and get back on the right track! When my Mother passed away last summer - I was pretty stressed out over her passing. I did not do a very good job of dealing with the stress, grief, and anxiety of losing her. My primary care physician wanted me to go talk with a counselor to help me get through this difficult period of time. This was corroborated by the two psychiatrists I went to visit for first and second opinions. They both felt I was experiencing some generalized anxiety over the loss of my Mom. So I started to visit with Eve Radin, an LPC. initially I wasn't sure what to expect, but Eve has this calming effect and she started working with me to find ways to deal with, manage, and reduce my stress. For the first six months or so, I'd go and visit with her once a week. I actually looked forward to the sessions - knowing that I was making progress and with her help am getting back to where I wanted and needed to be. Highly recommended!

The issue is with the business owner and director of the program. She is a poor communicator, and runs her business like a road side hot dog stand. She lacks people skills which is not good because she runs a business for children with developmental delays, etc. She instigates conflict and makes questionable business transactions. She has made several alarming comments regarding reimbursement from the insurance company raising red flags for questionable/ borderline insurance fraud. When questioned she is a rabid dog and the customer is WRONG. Please proceed with great caution. Would rate lower if rating just on the owner and would rate higher if rating the therapists.
