The only reason we left was because it was time for him to move on to preschool, and honestly, I wish he could have stayed with them forever. It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! The studio has great decorations and ambiance, Davina gave us glasses, glow in the dark hair clip, and a hat to take home with us. The final painting is so pretty and glows in the dark. I'm sorry, but painting and wine classes are typically led by someone who actually is an artist and…read moreshows you HOW to paint. We paid for this class at Glen Ivy and she said pick any color you want and just paint whatever you want! Ummmmm that's not what we paid for. I could go to Michaels and get a canvas for $4 and do this by myself at home with all the wine I want - not just one glass at Glen Ivy. Sorry...not my favorite. Glen Ivy should specify that this is a free for all with no instruction whatsoever. At the end, she "read" our paintings which is sweet but a little oddly "mystical" for me. I didn't sign up for a psychiatry class. Anyway, she was a lovely lady, but please be aware that her style is opposite of all the painting classes out there. (Oh, and her husband or assistant came along but slept for most of the class which is hilarious because that's sort of how I felt too.) I should also mention that her class only lasted 30 minutes and she practically forced us to stop. Most painting and wine classes are about 2-3 hours. one star for the wine and one star for her kindness.
