Booked a trip to NJ to visit family in the area. Being cheap, flew Southwest, booked a car through…read moreThrifty and then wanted a place to get away in case they drove me nuts. Through one of the plethora of travel sites (rhymes with booking dot com) found this place. Prior reviews, not so good. Location, not so good. Yelp. Ugh. Okay, so why did I stay there? Thirty bucks a night. The next one up was at least fifty. If push comes to shove, impose on the relatives. Heck, I slept on the floor in SeaTac. How bad could it be? Well, the connecting flight was delayed (weather related with 6+ hours hanging in DIA) and I didn't get to PHL until 3AM. Wound up in room 110 in November -- Friday the 13th. Good: Heater worked. Blankets were fine. Parked right in front of the room. Didn't have to wait long to sign in and crash. It was quiet. There's a full sized LCD TV. Bad: No coffee in the morning in the room. Yes, $30 a night and the worst thing was there was no coffee in the room. Okay, NJ water sucks but what do you expect - buy bottled. For the price (Grand Cypress in FLA, Montbleu in Tahoe, Extended Stays and cheap motels) this is definately *WELL* worth the money. Seriously. $30 a night. It's quiet you don't get bothered, the beds are comfy and the TV works. But no coffee. Room 110: Non-smoking, not one of the jacuzzi rooms. Two rooms away from the office.

There's a bed, a bathroom and four walls. Nice TV with a lot of channels. And it's cheap. It will…read morecertainly suffice for a night or two if you had to. Here's the but- it's gross. When I went to pull the comforter down, the underside was covered in cigarette burns and more than one yellowish stain. Ew. But whatever, you are never supposed to sleep under those comforters anyway. That left only a thin sheet on the bed, with no other blankets in sight. I had to cover myself with a towel during the night because it was so cold!

So let's start with Customer Service: that deserves a 4 star. We tried booking a room online…read morebecause we were going to be in the area for my husbands aunt 60th birthday. He had stayed there 4years back and said he had a good experience. So when we tried booking online the hotel was full for the evening and we decided to call. They were very attentive and were able to get us a room for the night. Yea we got! At checkout staff was nice as well. The actual Hotel gets a 2star on appearance. First the rooms look very run down, the room we had faced an abandon mini golf course which grass looked very over grown and when we looked towards the back of the hotel there was a weird kids pool. The smell of the hall way was of pure cigaret in a no smoking floor. The wall paper had some weird stains on them and it was pealing. The corner wall on the top right of the shower had some mold stains. The room was not even clean properly because we found a champaign top from the previous guest I think. The bed sheet had a burnt on it and there was a yellow thicker quilt which felt hard like wool material. TV was very small and we only had like 5 local Channels to select from. My husband was very disappointed to have seen the hotel go from a 4star hotel to a run down 2 star.

Coming to you live from Days Inn. My boyfriend and I needed somewhere to stay the night because our…read morecentral air is down in our apartment and it can't be fixed until tomorrow. Picked this place due to price and location from home. You get what you pay for. The stench in this hotel is that of another world. It's like a cross between pure funk, musty armpits, wet mildew, and hot ass. I am genuinely baffled that this place gets any business. The carpet seems damp when I dared put my bare foot on it. There are legit 5 channels that they've purchased with their cable provider. Cracks in the walls, holes in the door, mold spots on the ceiling. I think the 100+ degrees in my CLEAN apartment is better than this. I'm pretty sure I'm being poisoned by the AC unit in the room because the stench kicks up when it comes on. Unless you've packed your hazmat grade pajamas, just go somewhere else. Seriously.
