My father was a patient there a handful of times over the last few years. I spent much time in the facility with other patient's and staff members including nursing, counseling, and business office. He was on a very intense downhill slide in his life and we were helpless. The moment I walked through the doors I felt a sense of relief wash over me. They were kind to him, though he was suffering from severe DT's and had not bathed in days - they hugged him, soothed him, and quickly got him medication to help provide him relief of his withdrawal symptoms. I went home that day somehow feeling lighter from the immensely crushing weight caused by the anxiety I had felt every minute of every day for years, being lifted off of my shoulders. Like many alcoholics, he needed more than one treatment stint to find his footing. His counselor worked very closely with my family in devising a plan for my dad over these different treatment episodes, and he finally surrendered to his disease, putting sober days together one-by-one. I am so grateful for Valley Hope of Atchison - they have given my father back to my siblings and I, my kids their a grandfather, and I do not lose sleep at night, anymore. I am very surprised to see the rating that Valley Hope has here on Yelp, because I've spent much time in this facility over the last few years. The staff there love and care for the patients, and many are in recovery themselves. If you are looking for a facility that does not conform to the norm of rehabilitation facilities, and will feel more like a home than a hospital - give Valley Hope a chance.

From the nurses, kitchen staff, and cleaning staff to the counselors, directors, and everyone in between, every single person was supportive and treated me with kindness and respect. The environment they create makes it easier to focus on healing and recovery. I'm beyond thankful that I took the step to come here and get sober. Without the support of both the staff and the other patients, I honestly don't know where I'd be today. This place gave me hope, support, and a foundation for a new life. I highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling and looking for help. It's by far the best rehab I've ever been to.

I would have never gone if I knew it was more than around 10 dollars as they stated. They also do not answer their phones so they call you back after a message. High DO NOT RECOMMEND they are thieves and crooks and are experienced as high school consuolers. Would give negavtive stars if I was allowed. Stay away.

Thanks to their program, customized care, counselors, and staff in general I believe this will be my last time in treatment. However, I know they will always be there for me. To say this is just a treatment center or a vehicle to get some singular missing aspect of your life back is not doing justice to this organization. I have been to rehabs costing 10's of thousands and state funded ones. Denovo point blank blows them all out of the water with the endearing, kind, caring and humane environment they foster.
