This station doesn't have quite as many options for shops and restaurants as Den Haag Centraal but all the old regulars are here so you can pick up coffee or a sandwich before your train journey. Usually I'm just passing through this station on my way to Rotterdam, as it runs on the main Amsterdam-Rotterdam intercity route. You can also catch the international intercity to Brussels here.

The station opened in the 1970s yet feels fresh and modern, with the recent renovation that was completed in 2017. Unlike most train stations in the Netherlands, you are able to get to most of the shops without a ticket or OV-chipkaart to pass through, the layout in terms of separating the shops and platforms is much more thought out here. There is a Starbucks inside the station with a small seating area, as well as a SPAR just outside the station, perfect for picking up essentials ahead of your trip.
