About a year out, we booked with Diana, the owner, who hopped on a couple of calls with us, shared a super helpful timeline template for when to get things done, and gave us a fantastic list of vendor recommendations. Then, two months before the wedding (not just a month out like most services), Diana and Robin (our on-site coordinator) got fully caught up on where we were, helped us tackle last-minute to-do's, reminded us of a few details we'd overlooked, and made sure every "t" was crossed and every "i" dotted. On our wedding weekend, Robin was simply amazing. She handled absolutely everything behind the scenes so we could stay present and enjoy the day. I really enjoyed working with Diana and Kendra and the whole At Your Side Planning Team! We chose the microwedding package and they were able to customize some items for us based on our preferences such as our own florals and some more chairs for extra guests. If you are planning to have a beach wedding, they were the perfect blend of month of coordination as well as planning and setup for the beach wedding. They are very organized and were able to give us a timeline with deadlines that kept us on track during the planning process. They also had good tips from their experiences with other weddings when we had questions. The micro packages are definitely more for couples who are ok with doing more active planning themselves, they give you suggestions of local vendors but the couple has to reach out to obtaining pricing and discuss specific details. They also do full service planning but we opted to do more things ourselves as we had fewer details to plan and fewer guests. It is very helpful for the day of coordination that they will have multiple coordinators to set up the ceremony site and the reception site which is often 2 different locations. read more

We enjoyed every moment of our wedding day, and we had Diana and Robin to thank for. Diana helped us with all the month-of planning and vendor coordination during the last month, and Robin was our day-of coordinator, who did a wonderful job! Diana was very responsive, efficient, professional and experienced. The last month before the wedding would have been way more stressful without her help. We had a lot of last-minute stuff, like adding rentals and hiring a videographer one week before the wedding, all of which well accommodated. We found our videographer through Diana too, which turned out to be a wonderful choice! Robin was absolutely amazing on the day-of. She helped place all the favors and place cards, and made sure the reception tables and welcome board looked great. We had Chinese door games, tea ceremony, rehearsal walk-through, family photoshoot, wedding ceremony and reception all in 8 hours. She kept everything on schedule, reminding people of the next agenda. She made sure my husband and I had something to eat during the cocktail hour between photo shoots. She had my powder and lipstick handy and help me freshen up often throughout the reception and party to make sure I was always camera ready. She helped me play a secret video to surprise my husband. She was so good that we pulled it off without causing any suspicion.:) I loved it when his jaw dropped when he saw the video messages from his friends who couldn't make it to the wedding. She even took the initiative to decorate the cake cutting table for us without bothering to let me know how bad it looked. I found out only after seeing the photos from our photographer. We had the on-site caterer prepare watermelon for us to cut instead of a cake (Because we love watermelon and don't like cake.) I understand they couldn't do anything more than literally stacking watermelon chunks up. I was already told beforehand that they couldn't do anything "fancy", but I guess when it came out, it looked a bit too "basic"... so Robin came to our table to "borrow" some greenery and succulents to make the cake table look a bit nicer. We hired Yvonne and Shauna to provide Day Of Coordination for our August 2015 wedding, and we COULD NOT be happier with their services. Hiring a day of coordinator was kind of an after-thought for us. *read, we did not include it in the budget* Diana worked with us for MONTHS before we even hired them to come up with a package that would work for our budget and give us exactly what we needed. A lot of people with say, oh, I can do your Day of Coordination for $600. But what do you get for $600? You don't get what you need. Something will be left undone. You probably need a lot more in terms of hours or warm bodies than what that $600 package can provide. There are so many little details that need to be handled a month before a wedding. Not including the fact that I got sick right before the wedding. It was so nice to just hand over those last minute tasks to people who are as meticulous as I am. Yvonne confirmed with ALL of my vendors, multiple times because things always change at the last minute. When I couldn't take another moment looking at the beauty schedule for the day of the wedding, Yvonne handled it. She reviewed our inventory list from our caterer to make sure we had absolutely everything we purchased, and confirmed all timelines for all of our vendors. She even had a few extra hands to help with the ceremony and the reception. On the day of, she was a complete life saver. She coordinated with all of the vendors, kept our parents happy, and made sure that EVERY SINGLE ITEM that I sent to the reception was returned back to me! I was so surprised! Shauna was in charge of setting up the reception area. Shauna and Victoria attended my walk-though and they were extremely attentive. Without even having a 'mock-up' appointment of what I wanted everything to look like, she executed the items I gave her perfectly. I gave her 18 Moroccan lanterns and said, "Use them all, or use none of them. Just use your discretion." lol. Diana was amazing and I couldn't recommend her and her assistant, Syvan, enough. My wife and I aren't terribly traditional people. Therefore, our wedding could probably be characterized as "different". With different comes a lot more work. We went into it thinking, "Hey, no problem! We'll hire the DJ, then we'll nail down a venue and get the thing catered, and we're done!" Well that lasted about a month before we realized we were in over our betrothed heads. We lucked out and landed Diana & Co. on our first call to wedding planners. We definitely made the right move by hiring them. At first, a wedding planner is really a professional pain-in-your-ass, always reminding you of all the crap you need to do, and when. This is a good thing, ultimately, but if that were all they did for us, I wouldn't recommend hiring a planner at all. The money we spent on Diana really started paying off when we were dealing with vendors, and what might be called "crunch time". The rehearsal, the chair vendor, the incompetent reception venue, the damned transportation, Diana and her team took care of all that nonsense, thank goodness. I'm the kind of person who thought I could do this myself & went into the planning stage prepared to do everything & assign a few tasks to my mom & bridal party.. as Bridezilla kicked in & I was feeling like strangling my mother over the phone, she quickly did research to find a highly recommended Wedding Planner & offered to split to cost with me to save our relationship (kidding... a little) :) From the first conversation with Diana I knew this was someone I could work with. We emailed consistently throughout the planning and between in person meetings. She handled my ranting, winding emails with as much detail as the ones in bullet point. She always responded promptly and thoroughly. A big concern my fiance had was that by having a planner we would end up spending more using her vendors than if we dug some up ourselves. That was proven so wrong over and over. All of her recommendations were amazingly priced & we felt like we had special treatement from each of her vendors just by mentioning "Diana sent us". They all loved working with her as much as we did, and that says a lot. I keep hearing about how gorgeous the flowers were, and I never would have found that vendor without Diana! Same for the photographers, whom we loved so much we consider them friends now. She asked us questions I never would have thought to be concerned about, and made sure all of the details were checked, re-checked and confirmed. She worked with my friends/vendors who were not quite as professional as hers, but treated them with the same level of respect.
