The Rhinelander, Wisconsin store is horrid. I drove 2 hours to pick up a new Sim card this morning because my phone wasnt connecting to the network, even after resetting the network, etc the night before. I was told I needed a new Sim card by the on-line service department. I drove to the Rhinelander store and told the only employee there what I needed. He took my phone, typed away, and handed it back to me. He told me he attached an e-sim card. I asked about my husband's phone and he only replied that he was all good, even though he never touched his phone. Thinking everything was done, we left. Something bothered me about the visit so I called At&t's service department again. I explained what had happened from the time my phone didn't work til the time I was speaking with her. She said the guy at the store DID NOT add the e-sim card. He only reset the network. So, he lied. She strongly suggested that I go all the way back to the store and have them replace the Sim cards on both phones and also set up the e-sim card. This time there was 2 different guys and when I walked in and started telling him we needed new sim cards, they both started arguing and talking over me, more so the manager. He kept insisting we didnt need new ones because our phones were working. He also stated there were outages even though the outages were never verified by the on-line help or the computer when searching. The manager cut me off twice before I started raising my voice, trying to get him to shut up and listen. The manager said he wanted respect to which I replied I needed him to stop arguing and listen. I told him there were notes on our account as to what needed to be done, by technical support. They finally decided to give us new sim cards but they never added the e-sim cards that the employee on the phone told us to get. Lazy incompetent employees. This store's incompetence has cost me an additional 2 hours of driving over the 4 hours it would have taken to get to the store and back. Bottom line, useless lazy ignorant sub-standard manager and employees. Seems they only want to sit on their phones, order pizza, and collect a paycheck without working for it. read more

great place to get help with the phone service, they no what there doing

We went to the AT&T store in Rhinelander, WI, to add my wife to my account. When we got home, we found out we could no longer connect using our wi-fi. We then tried to switch back to T-Mobile and while my wife can now connect using wi-fi, I still cannot connect since I tried to keep my old phone number. So, since visiting the Rhinelander AT&T store almost two weeks ago, I have been unable to use my phone while at home, using our wi-fi. read more

I will only leave a bad review after I have exhausted all options and try to correct issues at the store. That being said the store did a terrible job with the entire purchase. First they told me my old phone qualified for a trade in program. They quoted $350.00 minimum up to $700.00 which sounded way to good to be true. They ended up selling me a new phone and then said the trade in credit "didn't print out" so there was no way to send the trade in phone into ATT. Instead they gave me an 800# and said I would have to deal with them directly. Then they charged me 25% down plus fees and taxes which I paid on my credit card, even though ATT doesn't require upgrade down payments. After spending 2+ hours on the phone, in there lobby, they inadvertently cancelled the entire order instead of the trade in only. Again I was advised to call another 800# and deal with this during normal business hours. I called the 800# the next day (during normal business hours) and was told my old phone wasn't worth anything due to age and the entire transaction was canceled by the store. So now I had to re order another phone through ATT and wait for it to be shipped to me. I then returned the first phone to the store as directed by ATT. They refunded the phone but charged me a $55.00 restocking fee for something that was NOT my fault. I also called the store 3x and was told they would investigate and call me back which they never did. Long story short ATT fixed my issues, sent a new phone, and credited my account the restocking fee. Long story short this store is NOT an ATT owned store, they are privately owned. The two employees tried their best but I felt they weren't properly trained and not much support from management. "Joey" is the manager and was only available for back room private phone calls with employees, he would not talk directly to me and did NOT return my calls. I told the clerk this was his chance to avoid a negative review by waiving the restocking fee of $55.00. Joey declined to assist and said it was company policy. Hence the negative review. Almost a year ago my dad and I had noticed that our phones weren't working. I had contacted customer service to see what the problem was, they had said that it was something with my sim card, so they ordered me a new one, although I explained I had gotten an odd call but they never really responded to this concern. They then told me I could go pick up the card at the store, which was 45 mins but I really needed my phone for important things. Drove 45 mins for the girl at the store to tell my dad and I that our phones had been compromised, she then let us use her phone to contact the fraud department, they were able to solve the issue. This lady was super nice. But then a few months later, my mom who was paying the bill had gotten something in the mail or text that her bill needed to be paid. which normally her bill was automatically deducted from her account. Drove to this store again for the guy to be completely unprofessional, he told us that he couldn't do anything for us because it's not AT&T's fault that our automatic billing wasn't deducted, even though in spite of all this they never told us that the automatic billing was taken off. The week after that even though we never put my moms account back in the system, money from at&t was taken out of my moms account magically. We came to this store a third time to explain the situation, the guy had exclaimed to us that the account had never been removed. So explain to me how supposedly our bill was never deducted from my moms account? Not long before this we decided because of this store and the unprofessionalism of this manager at the Rhinelander store, we were better off going to a new service! read more
