Opened a contract in may was persuaded to go for a more expensive contract because of a promotion that was offered to me,was told it will take 3 months to activate. 3 months went by no promotion,went into the store 07/24/18 spoke to the person who help me with the contract. Turns out he misled me with the promotion and I now dont qualify anymore,then Was told the manager is out and will be back by Thursday 07/26/18 and he will discuss it with the manager and give me feedback. 01/08/18 now and still have not heard anything back! I was switching from my family's plan to my work plan. When I called and informed AT&T about the switch and to authorize the port of my number from AT&T to Verizon, instead of authorizing the port, AT&T disconnected my number. With my number disconnected there was no way the port could process. I had no phone for almost a week due to AT&T's inaction, incompetence, and lack of customer priority. I had to spend over 10+ hours that week trying to get the issue resolved, including visiting the AT&T store 3 times! The third time we visited the store a manager was finally working. However, even after explaining we had been in the store the two days prior, she did not seem to care at all and made us wait in line to help us. Needless to say, we ended up having to help ourselves. The online customer support women who was helping us asked if the in store manager could get us a SIM card to try to troubleshoot an issue she was seeing on her end and the in-store manager would not even get us a new SIM card when we asked because she was still "busy." Even the online help lady seemed annoyed by this. AT&T hadn't even lost business as I added another line and bought an iPad when I initially called to authorize the port to maintain my family plan. Needless to say, after this nightmare of an experience, I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AT&T TO ANYONE! Save yourself the trouble and headache, choose a different company. read more
