There is a very nice picnic area with tables and trash cans available, and a small path through the woods. You can extend the walk nearby, strolling down the historic brick roads and looking at the neat bridges that span the Iuka ravine. It's a nice spot to check out if you're already enjoying the area.

There are tons of trees and beautiful shaded areas to sit and relax. It's cool to walk through day or night. I see tons of students using it. Crochet art, some cool vandalism under the bridges as well as a myriad of birds watching you. They must be use to us! A ton of the homes feature bird feeders so I guess they have a good reason to stick around. So peaceful and so chill. It's amazing.

Two small playsets, each with fun things to climb on, slide, counting and alphabet toys, etc. Plus shade and picnic tables. This park, this whole neighborhood actually, should be famous. There was a "driving park," a racetrack for horses and then cars, in this part of townl the park would have been the eastern edge of it. Supposedly the first 24-hour car race was held here in 1905. And the first cargo flight landed here, in 1910.

There is gazebo with fireplace for adults to hang out have gatherings, etc, while their children can run around playing on the beautiful playground. There is even enough room to bring your pets for a walk if you need that option as well. What attracts us so much to this park is the variety of playground attractions for the young children. There are countless slides, swings, and obstacle course, play musical instruments outside as well. The house area is cute for infants and toddlers to run around and get their energy out there as well. You can literally be a kid at heart here. Your children will love it and you'll probably even meet some nice people if you come at the right hour. There is something for everyone here.

You can find parallel off Main Street or you can drive into one of the side streets and do parallel. I've seen some parking lots but I'm not sure what they're for... It's cute though! They had a few architecturally pleasing, random things to look at. It was a bit cold so I only walked around for about five minutes.

Not sure whom decided…read moreto relocate parking to below ground and make the old lot a lovely park full of interactive elements... but THANK YOU! Parking is accessed in the middle of the park (which is also in front of COSI). There are musical interactive stations, two out door ping pong tables. Two sets of concrete corn hole and a large playground for the kiddos. There are even swinging benches facing then parks green and a few lounge chairs. Its a pretty cute city park. The Junto Hotel faces it as well and there is a great coffee house (Maudines) inside if you need a drink or a snack!

On our recent visit, a lot of stuff was in bloom, which gave us the opportunity to fully appreciate several of the gardens that are at their peak now: the pollinator garden, the butterfly garden, and the rain garden, all of which also have accompanying signage. There's a nice large play area with some more unique play sets than typically seen at a playground, though it does offer swings and plenty of things to climb on. There are also benches and bench swings and a number of umbrella tables on the plaza for picnicking. There is a fountain water play section, though the water was off on our recent visit. A music garden offers fun interactive opportunities to try out a wide variety of musical instruments. There's also a very neat dinosaur sculpture garden that showcases fossil sculptures of a variety of dinos! A game area offers the chance to do some ping pong/table tennis or play corn hole. The Science Spectrum sculpture, whose "leaves" move around and catch the light, creating rainbow-y looks is a fun addition. This is a fun area to explore, and it is conveniently located in front of COSI, near the Scioto Mile.

It is a relatively new park (about 5 years old) and has a somewhat non-traditional playground. The playground at Johnston-McVay is actually divided into two sections: * the upper section (closest to the parking lot) features the HAWK, a large wooden climing structure and some "roller slides". This area offers a lot of opportuity for climbing and creative play. * the lower section (closer to the road) has both traditional swings as well as a very unique swing that aloows up to 5 or 6 kids to swing togehter at the same time. My granddaughter and four or five newly found friends were swinging and singing a pirate ditty - pretending that the swing was a pirate ship. One of the nicest features of the park is that there are plenty of benches (some traditional - some large blocks of stone) for parents and grandparents to sit. The park also offers a nice mix of sunny and shady areas.

Modern Nature inspired playground equipment: swings, climbing structures, and most recognizable - Hawk/Nest. The trail around the park has placards that mark a "story path" sponsored by Westerville Library. From the looks of it, it will be a rotating story every few months. Natural play area includes creek access and some large stones for crossing the creek. Park does have a restroom. Great fun for a variety of ages of children. Be sure to stop by!

This is a lovely mural located on the exterior of the Tuttle Park Recreation Center. It appears to…read morebe paint, and, unfortunately, I could not find any artist notes. It catches your eye pretty quickly as you pull into the parking lot and has a nice blend of natural and earth elements located inside the overarching shape of a long bird with its wings spread. It's very nice to view and a great addition to the park area.

This is a perennial favorite section of the fair! It's a quieter, relaxing bit of nature within the…read morehustle and bustle of the fair, but it is packed with plenty of things to do, see, and learn. Tour the tiny nature center, which was showcasing amphibians at the time of our visit, and step inside a yurt to see what makes it a unique overnight option. If you're taller than 50 inches, you can sign up for a kayak lesson in the pond. They offer good instructions on the basics and then let you try it out. The Discovery Pavilion has a lot of information, the kayak sign-up booth, a section that showcases state parks (this year, the focus was on the upcoming Great Seal State Park). They also offer a living stream exhibit where you can see some of the critters that can be found and hold a crayfish. There's also a sand dig area. A neat addition this year was the opportunity to try putting out a virtual fire with a light up fire extinguisher. A fire tower is located near the classic giant Smokey the Bear. Unfortunately, you can't climb it, but it does set the scene nicely. Smokey, who is turning 79 this year, will chat with you if desired. There are multiple playground options - the recycling express train is a kid favorite, a wildlife themed one, and a newer gas and oil themed one that has a very neat - and popular - OHIO structure in it. There is also a prairie to explore, a display of native animals (owls, hawks, fox, skunk, and more), a wetland area, a butterfly house, a geology walk, and a number of additional hands-on activities, including archery and shooting ranges, and a fishing pond for 14 and under using cane poles. A gift shop and information booth are also available. A lot of related organizations usually host booths back here too, with additional activities, games, and plenty of information. This is always the first place I recommend when asked about the fair!

Located in the SE corner of The Ohio State Fairgrounds, you'll find this cool micro-park is a nice getaway from the overload of the sights and sounds of the nearby Midway and Kiddie-land areas. This place is packed with plenty to see and do. Be sure to check out the amphitheater there where you can relax and watch a show, visit the butterfly house to watch the little winged ones and don't miss the aviary with it's premier resident, an American Bald Eagle. Take a stroll through the wetlands and prairie areas too while you're there. People preferring something more active might want to head over to the shooting range and try their hand at archery or target shoot with an air gun. The park also has a 7200 square foot pond so you can try your hand at some kayaking. And for the kiddos, let them do some fishing at the stocked pond or have a talk about fire safety with an animatronic 14 foot tall Smokey the Bear. Natural Resources Park is an educational park and there's a lot of Ohio Department of Natural Resources folk around to answer your questions.
