Is it weird to review a hospital? It kinda is. Ah well, I am doing it anyways cuz i just had my…read morebaby at Maria Heimsuchung and could not be more thankful to the fabulous team of doctors, Hebammen & nurses!
From the birthing class we took with one of the Hebammen, to the false alarm that had us sadly leaving without a baby to the absolutely low-key, wonderful birth experience - THANK YOU Maria Heimsuchung! We didn't expect much after years of sub-par German customer service and hearing expats at other hospitals tell us we need to self-advocate through every step of the birth BUT the hospital surprised us with its truly expert, warm care. I was nervous about birth in Germany and my mediocre German skills, but they made it work with some staff speaking excellent English and the rest exerting saintly patience as I struggled to make myself understood.
On top of this, the facilities are first rate and I felt completely at ease in the Kreißsaal and maternity ward, not to mention the grounds (which I spent hours walking to jump start the birth), reception, cafeteria etc. We also paid for a family room which was well worth the 58 euros to have my husband stay with me and our little girl those first few days.
Loved our experience here and so thankful to leave with warm thoughts and one perfect little lady.
