This hostel is located is fancy Knightsbridge on the edge of Hyde Park and just a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall. The building is a charming one, typical for this part of town with lots of stucco in the hallways and great wooden staircases. The rooms are alright, however, more than just spartan. Honestly, there weren't even hooks on the wall on which to hang jackets or else. Not a single stool or bench to sit on or put something down. The windows don't close well and so it is rather drafty all the time. Good points include the secure key locks, clean sheets, a kettle and a TV in the room. The free Wifi the hostels boasts does not work, we tried for three consecutive days with five different phones and never had a connection. Same for the credit card machine it didn't take any of our cards so we all had to pay cash in the end. We were also a bit irritated by the vending machine which seems to get rather fill-ups. Another good point is the luggage room, which seems kind of safe. All-in-all it is an acceptable place to stay if you're mainly concerned about budget and location. read more
