I really don't know where to begin. Dr Chizner was my late husband's Doctor for many years. Yesterday, I visited him because I had an abnormal EKG result from another provider that really concerned and frightened me. He and his staff spent so much time with me and showed such kindness. He put my mind at ease .. I highly recommend him. He is very humble, approachable, knowledgeable , likeable and professional with charisma rarely seen in a Doctor in his position.. Consider yourself fortunate if you are able to become one of his patients. He will make your journey as pleasant as possible regardless of your situation or the forecasted outcome... You will love Annie, the receptionist and his staff as well..

Pleasant, Professional and Patient seems to be the theme permeating this office. But I was seen first by his P.A. or Nurse Practitioner, Annie, who conducted an initial in-depth assessment, thoroughly reviewing my situation and history and asking pertinent questions. AND she was, unsurprisingly, pleasant, professional and patient. Having been aware of Dr. Chizner's training and accomplishments I expected to be a bit intimidated, but despite the white-coat-syndrome-on-steroids with all the pros in their white coats, I was comfortable with him from the start. It was interesting to see the teaching that was going on as he conducted his assessment and it was clear that he has great rapport with his students as he frequently made eye contact with them to highlight a point or observation. The bottom line is that virtually immediately he identified the likely cause of my complaints which have persisted for years. No tests, no labs, no scans. Just simply his inquiry into my symptoms and history. This after the previous usual suspects of echo's, ekgs and so on having been inflicted on me which provided no guidance into explaining my situation. I'd be remiss if I didn't recognize Alicia, the young lady at the front desk who also fields the phone calls. She is, you guessed it, very pleasant, patient and professional at what she does AND helpful. I should also mention that there was never any hint of any time constraints.

It's not often many of us write reviews regarding Doctors but I felt it worthwhile to let my…read morefriends on Yelp be aware that this field of medicine, Cardiology, has great importance to all of us. If anyone has concerns or issues regarding the heart and/or all cardiovascular unknowns, Dr. Shair who is associated with one of the top Cardiac hospitals in the country which is in our own backyard, Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., has been one of the top Cardiologists in Broward for a very long time. The reason, this review is worth writing is because when we all think of making a doctor appointment we all know that they see hundreds of patients, especially if they are well known. That usually leads to short visits, unanswered questions and leaving with some uneasiness. Well Dr. Shair happened to give me and my wife the time to answer all our questions regarding our concerns and we ended up speaking to him for 45 minutes and he was very proactive on future follow up visits and the type of testing he would continually do for me so I never have future issues. He gave me the comfort of knowing that I can depend on him and my health in the future. When I had asked him for a reference for a general practitioner, he told me that I can use him as well for that. Now I know that there are probably several great cardiologists in South Florida but the only one I know is Dr. Shair, and my experience was beyond excellent. If anyone has concerns about their health and want to "bury" them within, I recommend not waiting until it is too late. Face them, deal with them and move on. It is not as bad as you may think, and Dr. Shair made it easy.

The initial visit and 2 times for testing, and the last visit to get results of my condition and one of his assistant came out to see me and when I asked him about my heart monitor test result he noticed it was missing from my file, not uploaded to my chart , it was a heart monitor that I wore for 2 weeks. Therefore did not received a diagnosis. Dr. Tami did not even see me once. I was told that if my Tachycardia happened again to go to the emergency room. I paid my co payments, and they took my Insurance. Now I have to find another cardiologist to find out my condition. Now I am getting text messages that I have a balance, I have called them twice and no one is available to talk to me. Not recommendable.

He is 75 years old and take care of my mother fo 84 with dementia. I take them to every doctor and take care of them. The women at the office told me that they were very busy at the Pembroke Pines location, and I should go to Hollywood. She promised me that I could go to Pembroke Pines in the future appointments and that all the test that doctor could order are done at Pembroke Pines. We went yesterday. We wait for two hours. The place looks dirty and no professional at all. The nurses didn't look professional at all. One of them eating cake in front of patients. After two hours a female doctor introduced herself and start the consultation. I complained about not being Dr. Luis Tami. She excused saying that he will come later if we want. She asked many questions and took notes of medications. Then we waited another hour. Finally, Dr. Tami came. He starts asking again about the list of medication. I told him that took 10 minutes for us to explain each one and that the nurse imputes the info on the computer. He refused to open the computer and ask we repeat everything. At that moment I was pretty upset about the whole experience. He recommends my father to perform an echo stress and another one that I don't remember now. We agree and when I ask to go to Pembroke Pines, he refused. I insisted to go to the other office, and He refused again saying that they have everything at the Hollywood location. When we were ready to arrange with the front office place and days, we noticed they just closed and the rest of staff just left. The "nurse" told us (with a plate of salad on her hands and ready to go home) : " go home now and we will call you tomorrow to tell you the days and time for the studies. They just called me. They just picked up day and time for me. They ar a disgrace. DO NOT GO TO THIS CREPPY PLACE
