The only thing I cannot stand about this location is the parking garage and getting there. If you're using gps and have to drive even a few minutes through downtown, add on like 10 minutes because the lights are the worst. Then you have the parking garage. You have to go all the way to the 4th floor and then they have a few spots that are inside the garage, dedicated to their place. The rest are outside on the highest level of the garage. You have to walk to the elevator and then take it upstairs one level. Even when we leave ahead of the time with the gps, we still get there late. We would have to leave like 45 min ahead when the gps says 20 minutes (with traffic). It's 13 minutes without. I drive like a maniac too so I can get there super quick if the lights are on my side. But with that traffic and if it's drizzling forget it. Everyone forgets how to drive and it will take you double the time. Other than all that nonsense, it's a great practice. The parking and getting there though-oof.

The doctor was calm, knowledgeable, and down to earth. He was quick, even though he was busy. He was informative and professional! But the back end, after the procedure and experience, took a huge turn which is why I not only updated my perspective and review, but I changed it dramatically. Following the procedure, we were waiting to hear back from the team pertaining to our bill. Initially when we showed up, we asked the receptionist to pay the self pay rate as we had out contacted our insurance and they indicated it would not be approved. Now, the reason we chose this particular establishment was because we contacted several others and asked for the self pay rate and evaluated reviews as well. This had the lowest self pay option and great reviews. So we were expecting to pay our bill on the date of service. She insisted that she send it through insurance and it would most likely not be denied because of the nature of the procedure. Sure enough, months later - we get the EOB from the insurance company and the bill was denied. AND to top it off, we would be on the hook for what they billed insurance - which is well over the self pay rate. We were upset, frustrated, and and annoyed. My husband attempted to contact Knight Dermatology through e-mail, telephone, and eventually having to drive to their location. After multiple attempts and continued confusion (literally told him they didn't have his date of service in there), the bill has been resolved. This took 5 months to complete. We will not be back due to the disorganization of the back end staff. Get it together. The doctor was great though!

When I arrived, I was told that I was just there for an office visit and nobody had planned to do anything other than look at me, but they fit me into the schedule. I let that one slide. I showed up for an appointment to have another tag removed. At first, I was told by that nasty blonde receptionist that I didn't have an appointment. About 45 minutes later, I asked her if they had been able to fit me into the schedule. She said that of course they had because she wouldn't have had me wait otherwise. I made a comment about the communication process, and she paused in filing her nails to tell me that I would have to take it up with the doctor. I was finally sent back to a treatment room and asked to sign a consent form. I did and then the assistant left and came back and told me that the doctor didn't want to treat me because there was some alleged back-and-forth with the front desk. Naturally, I was annoyed. I told her I wanted to speak to the doctor anyway, although I wasn't going to ask him to treat me. She came back several minutes later and said that he refused. I told her that was fine and that I would just make a scene in the lobby. I did. I only regret that there were not more patience waiting to hear me. The assistant told me that we weren't going to do this in the lobby. I told her that I had already warned her. I also told Blondie that she was nightmare, but that never stopped her from working on her nails.

After my insurance denied an MRI on my knee, I spent days making calls trying to get answers. I was told a peer-to-peer review was supposed to happen, and after a 40-minute phone call on Friday, I was specifically told that if I came to the hospital, I would be able to get the MRI done there because I have financial assistance through the hospital. The only orthopedic appointment available was at 7:30 PM , so my daughter and I drove 30 minutes there, waited another 30 minutes, only to ultimately be told no and sent back home. The most frustrating part was being told one thing over the phone and experiencing something completely different in person after wasting time, gas, energy, and effort -- especially while already dealing with ongoing health issues and chronic pain. I understand policies and procedures exist, but communication and consistency matter. Patients are already exhausted enough without being sent in circles. I truly hope improvements are made so future patients receive clearer guidance and better coordination of care.

I walked into Women's Center for Radiology, also known as Solis Mammography, feeling a little…read morenervous. Breast cancer runs in my family, so having a screening mammogram is already an uncomfortable and emotional experience for me. After checking in, one of the receptionists asked if I had an appointment and requested my prescription. I handed it to her, and she immediately said something under her breath in Spanish to another receptionist while pointing at my prescription. Naturally, I asked, "Is there something wrong?" The other receptionist then asked me how old I was. I remember thinking, Why is my age relevant? I'm there for a screening mammogram, I'm already nervous, and my prescription clearly had my information on it. I told her I was 33 and asked why my age was important. She immediately responded that I was "not old enough" for a mammogram and that my insurance wasn't going to cover it. I asked if they had actually contacted my insurance company to verify that. How could they know what my insurance would or would not cover without checking? As it turns out, my insurance does cover screening mammograms. But at that point, the issue was much bigger than insurance coverage. What really bothered me was the lack of sensitivity and professionalism shown by both receptionists. Breast cancer does not discriminate based on age, race, gender, or background. And neither receptionist knew whether I was paying through insurance, paying out of pocket, or had another reason for having the screening at my age. Patients should not feel judged, dismissed, or made to feel like they don't belong when seeking medical care--especially when they are already nervous about a potentially serious health concern. This was my first experience with Solis, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I hope the staff receives additional training on professionalism, communication, and treating every patient with empathy and respect.

No real pain and have healed wonderfully following her suggested instructions. I would drive 5 days+ to see her with any dermatological needs. This Imaging Center is one of Orlando Health's newer facilities, and it's located in close proximity to the main hospital and Winnie Palmer. So, location is great for sheer convenience. As far as care goes, it's quite standard. I can't really brag about the standard of care at Orlando Health facilities because I've had better experiences elsewhere. However, I can say, my experience at this office has always been pleasant. The staff is kind and courteous. I usually don't have to wait too long and it's usually not super busy in the waiting area. As designer that worked on numerous Orlando Health projects, the facility's overall aesthetics are in alignment with the Orlando Health's design standards. So, lots of greys and whites and muted tones. Pretty modern to the eye, with your typical Healthcare grade furniture. The facility was clean for the most part as were the restrooms. Parking is tight but there is parking along the main street and overflow parking. All in all, I really enjoy coming to this particular facility. I'm usually well taken care of here.
