My family has been using him for years now. He has really reasonable prices and as far as I can tell he does a pretty good job. He has really good turn around time and does a good job to meet your needs. You can even drop off or pick up paper work on the weekend if you have to or email him stuff. He does all kind of taxes and is also a lawyer. Pretty nice guy overall. He is Chinese, so of course he speaks Chinese Mandarin, but he has pretty good English has well.

The omission cost us nearly $5k in refund. During our initial meeting with Mr. Hou, we met with him for 40 minutes explaining the special circumstances as it relates to our tax return filing. Also important to note: Mr. Hou had a copy of our complete 2008 return with the same forms to reference when he was preparing our taxes. Additionally, he was given other documents that, if used, would have assisted his filing. The frustrating part about the entire process is that Mr. Hou denied ever knowing he needed to file the injured spouse form. I don't really know to this day what he was writing on that notepad of his during our initial meeting. I can't explain why I even handed him our 2008 return to reference. I've since returned to H&R Block and in doing so, saved some money and received honest and better service.
