Despite all the bad reviews on Yelp, we chose to give this coffee shop a shot and judge on our own…read more I was attracted by the indoor garden inside the back of the shop. You can never go wrong with indoor plants, high ceiling, and French window.
Upon arrival, the owner greeted us with a warm smile and told us that we could choose anywhere we want to sit. Of course, that indoor garden was where we picked!
The shop wasn't too full, but we could feel that the owner was in the constant rush to serve and order. I guess this is just his personality.
The menu was simple for afternoon tea, but you could get all the essential French teatime items here. Price is not cheap, but reasonable for this area of Paris.
We had a glass of orange press, a cup of double espresso, a pot of earl gray and a crepe! (yes, I was thirsty...)
All of them were served in a lightening speed by this cute old grandpa owner. Then he just left us alone to our chat. He didn't come back to help or rush us for the rest of the stay which I appreciated.
I am the kind of person who likes to be left alone and does not like to be asked every five mins about the food or if I need anything. So, the shop was perfect for me to enjoy my afternoon with my friend.
So, I have to say that, for afternoon tea, this shop is not a bad place to come. The owner also gave us a friendly goodbye as we were leaving the shop, heading to our next Paris wonderland.
Just a humble tip: If you are the sun and people watching lover, I would suggest you sitting outside, in the small courtyard.
