My husband and I recently purchased our first home in Colorado Springs. I researched for days…read moretrying to figure out how to select a real estate agent. Its difficult to assess if someone will be a good fit for you just from reading their website and testimonies. I was worried about cherry picked stories and getting into a bad relationship that would be awkward to get out of. I didn't want to work with someone that would only care about making a sale. I needed someone that would be understanding of my concerns and be able to work on a pretty concise timeline, and be able to work around my special needs child's schedule. I went to the darkest place on the internet that I know of to read reviews, Yelp. The thing to look for isn't the good reviews, its the bad reviews and how the company/person responds to these reviews. This is where I found The Daniels Team. Every bad review was met with respect and backed by fact checking. We decided to go with Alan because of this and came in with some very specific requests. We had a lender in place and several properties we were interested in. He met with us and got straight to work. He laid out the entire process for us and went over the details of our initial list. We vetted the listed down to three properties that met our needs and our loan requirements. We were able to make an offer on our top pick the same day that we viewed it. Alan communicates very well, he is on top of paperwork and scheduling, he is available whenever you need him, and he has an amazing eye for detail. His team plans ahead and is able get ahead of any problems that might arise. Any hiccups we had we were prepared for and had plans B and C discussed and decided on before A wasn't any option anymore. We were able to get into our home 40 days from the day we put in an offer. When we approached Alan with our timeline of July 1st he said he could make it happen, and he did it with time to spare! Alan and his team worked well with our lender, the seller's agent, and continue to reach out to offer a helping hand as we move into our home. Buying your first home can be scary. I feel completely at ease in the purchase because of the time and detail that went into curating and structuring it. Alan heard our concerns and worked tirelessly for us literally until the last minute of our contract. I would highly recommend him. Period.

My family and I fell in love with this real estate company ever since we bought and closed on our…read morefirst home with their agent, Erika Rabet- Zeigler! Through their professional business reputation, we worked with her and closed on our first home. We were estatic! Even after the closing, Cutting Edge and Erika sent us flyers and emails inviting us to company Christmas parties, buying us free cakes, they spoiled us like family! So of course when we PCSd off Active Duty orders, we came to Cutting Edge and Erika for property management. We were provided with a confusing rent to own, Joint Venture, contract that gave Erika 51% ownership of our home. We trusted our long lasting business relationship with Cutting Edge Real Estate and Erika because they had become household names in our family. We even referred other military through word of mouth. But the unspeakable happened. Without using the power of attorney provided, Erika called our mortgage company, assumed my identity, gave my credentials to the agent on a live recording, and posted a failed payment to our mortgage account. She then alleged to make 10,000$ worth of repairs on our home, that she never made us aware of. When approached on these issues, she stated that the company made these decisions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the tenants, and that they didn't want to bother us because we are "good people". When we got in touch with the tenants, they informed us that they signed contracts with Erika, at the Cutting Edge office, and even made a payment of 10,000$ of their money to secure the ownership of our home! We were never given copies of the contract signed at Cutting Edge and don't know why they would make this agreement with Erika to assume my identity, cook accounting books, and steal money from us and the tenants!!!! The mortgage was paid late 3/6 months. The property manager obligations were not done. The HOA has fined us for repeated violations. What did we do to deserve this? The marketing emails advised you were like a one stop shop for all a homeowners needs. I understand we come off as naive, uneducated first homebuyers. But did we really deserve this? Your reputation would have never led us to believe that such nefarious practices happen with individuals we trust our socials, birth certificates, and banking statements with. I feel violated, on so many different levels. Please be careful doing business here. As beautiful as we were treated from the beginning, we never thought this is how we would be treated coming back for more business.

From day one, Tommy took the time to explain things I simply wouldn't have known to ask about as a first-time buyer. His depth of knowledge is impressive. When touring homes, he proactively pointed out potential issues like foundation and structural concerns, water damage, electrical problems, unpermitted additions, and more. He also reviewed prior inspection reports with me, suggested a sewer scope when it wasn't included in the most recent inspection, and helped me understand what was truly urgent versus what could wait. He was extremely responsive, moved quickly to set up showings, and negotiated confidently on my behalf. During a fast-paced sale, he even pulled in favors to make sure inspections happened on time (something I'll always appreciate). On top of that, his referrals were outstanding (roofer, HVAC, electrician, plumber, handyman), all of whom I ended up trusting and using. I met Tommy and bought my first home within three months, which says a lot about how efficient, thorough, and supportive he is throughout the process. He's positive, kind, funny, and truly cares about his clients and his work. As an added bonus, I was even able to use their 15-foot box truck for my local move, which saved me a significant out-of-pocket expense. I've already recommended Tommy to friends and family and will continue to do so. If you want a knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely great realtor (especially as a first-time homebuyer) Tommy is your guy. Highly recommend.
