My partner and I have very busy lives and needed help working on our relationship. We had reached a stagnant point. Couples therapy is its own magical type of therapy and Dr. Panvini helps us have AHA moments since day 1. From inception, Loreli has been angel. She's the office manager that greets us with kindness and a beautiful smile and genuine "how are you". I feel blessed to have found this amazing practice and Dr. Panvini specifically.

Havening techniques and other techniques have helped me (someone who defaults to over-intellectualizing) get out of my head and into my body which I've found is imperative for healing emotional trauma. With all that said I'm really here to share my experience with the Neurofeedback training done with Rebecca Turner. Having done so much healing and reprocessing through talk therapy, I still felt that my thought patterns were like a hose turned all the way up, whipping around, unable to catch, and control, soaking everyone around me. The initial brain mapping (which is done first to know what areas of the brain to target for training) reflected with tangible data what I was experiencing inside. Ms. Turner described it to me like "your two hemispheres are yelling at each other" which turned out to be one of the most validating things my brain has ever heard about itself. The neurofeedback training process itself is not as complicated and/or intimidating as the name sounds. If one is doing eyes open training, you essentially attach some small sensors to your head using a conductive goop and watch a tv show while the screen brightens and dims in response to the information collected by the sensors and neurofeedback program. For "eyes closed" training, you listen to lyric-less music while the music adjusts the volume to help train your brain. And it all works. I feel good about myself. Shame is now a passing emotion instead of a state of being. Rumination is down ten-fold as my hemispheres aren't "yelling at each other". My thoughts and feelings don't control me as much and/or send my on a downward spiral. If you are someone who feels your emotions are often become too much for you to handle that even standard therapy couldn't alone help, might I suggest neurofeedback?

But life circumstances eventually led me to Jacqui, and now I'm actually grateful for the hardships that brought me to her. She's different from any therapist I've ever worked with. Jacqui really helps you dig deeper and look at things in a more honest, meaningful way. She doesn't just tell you what you want to hear or coddle you, because that wouldn't actually help you grow. Instead, she challenges you in a supportive and thoughtful way that pushes you to understand yourself better. I had never heard of ART before and was honestly skeptical, but I was desperate and willing to try anything. Hands down, it's one of the most valuable techniques she has in her vast arsenal of tools to help her patients. Her guidance on how to manage my anxiety in between sessions is something I will carry with me for life. Working with her has been a truly valuable experience, and I'm incredibly grateful to have found her.If you're struggling with something, I really encourage you to reach out and see her. It will change your life. It certainly changed mine.

The first ART session with Jacqui was about 2 hours, and no specific issues occurred. The 2nd session was a week later. About 30 minutes in, she noticed the ART didn't work as she expected, and her comment about the failure was due to my "language barrier," which I strongly disagree with. Even English is not my first language, I passed 2 most difficult bar exams in the States, and I've been practicing law for the past 12 years in California. Jacqui's instructions are nothing compared to the judges' instructions I have to follow for my work. Jacqui's instruction was basically "imagine your emotions being washed away by a waterfall," something simple and similar to this. However, she told me not only once during this session that the failure is because of the language barrier. She made me feel absolutely terrible, and I had to cut short the session. Eventually, Jacqui admitted that ART doesn't work for everyone but emphasized again my language barrier. We are all vulnerable already when seeking help from a therapist. Now Jacqui makes me feel even worse as this ART doesn't work mainly because of my "language barrier." If Jacqui evaluated that my language barrier is a concern or issue for this ART, she should've noticed it at the first consultation and stopped it, rather than continuing scheduling and charging me $180 per hour for the following sessions.

How to I properly express my gratitude for Andra and the type of caring person she is? Well, I'd…read morelike to shout it from the rooftops and I guess in the year 2018 Yelp is the highest rooftop I could find... I was diagnosed at a young age with a severe depressive disorder and anxiety and have had no choice but to be diligent and be my own best advocate for my brain and because of that have I have been in consistent (psycho)therapy since I received my diagnosis, now almost 25 years ago. In that time ive worked with therapists and psychotherapists and psychiatrists who all approach mental health and its maintenance from different perspectives and Ive had some good experiences and some not so good (very bad) experiences and some modalities have been useful and others not so much. Ive had therapists that I worked well with but Andra Brosh stands out so dramatically that I really needed to make a point in sharing it with anyone who may be here reading this and considering meeting with Andra and may need any kind of reassurance. Andra is the most caring, most empathic, insightful, sensitive and intuitive person I have ever worked with. She always listened to me with full attention and without any prejudice or ulterior motives. And when she would reflect on my very disjointed and chaotic thoughts what she gleaned was always exactly what i was trying to express but was so profoundly unclear, to me!, the thinker of these ideas. It was because of her ability to really hear me that i was able to do my best work with her because the real problem solving only came when I could decipher what my actual road blocks were. But Andra offers so much more that that. Working with Andra engages all of the senses. She creates an environment that is so conducive to feeling completely safe and that has such a positive flow and energy that you feel like youve stepped into a spa for the brain! She is by far the epitome of what all therapists of any modality should embody but dont and what I would recommend to anyone seeking any kind or real therapeutic healing. There is no pretense that exists in Andra's mind other than her pure desire to help people. And that is exactly what she did for me. I have long since said that I did the best work I ever did with Andra (and probably mentioned several times here within) and also made the most positive changes in my life too. I haven't since or ever prior to, met such a unique and genuine person and clinician and I feel so confident that you that will agree with me. You should look no further in my opinion if you want the real deal... Andra is it!

Her ability to keep me engaged with different assignments and big questions has helped me to maintain my autonomy and my motivation to become a more grounded and decisive individual. I really appreciate her openness and ability to intertwine things like Tarot and Astrology into her practice. It has really helped me to lean towards my true callings & my intuition in a way I have doubted in the past. She has also helped me really let go of a lot of big emotions that were clouding my judgement after a couple traumatic instances in my life. With that reassurance and her stern yet warm approach, I have been able to hold myself more accountable and figure out what kind of life I want to lead. I would recommend Andra to anyone who is in need of a reset or just some really sound advice. I cannot thank her enough!
