We stayed in touch with them while we were driving-updating them on his condition. They were ready for him when we arrived. Not only did they get him stabilized quickly, Dr. Austin let us know his condition pretty quickly. He spent two nights in the hospital and Dr. Austin communicated with us everyday, sometimes twice. We thought the charges were VERY reasonable for his 48 hours of care, X-rays, blood tests, medicines, IV's, etc. This clinic cares for animals and helping to get them well. We…read morelive very rural, and out of the four vet clinics in Winnemucca nobody answered their "emergency line" or simply said they were unavailable to perform surgery. Elko is three hours from us, and without this clinic we would have to have driven an extra 45 minutes to Reno, and that extra hour could have proven fatal. Dr. Yount let us come in after midnight and even texted me for symptom updates on the drive. There was a woman there as well I believe also a doctor but I am not sure about her name. Within twenty minutes of getting to the clinic he had her in surgery, and an hour later she was done and had lived through it, despite being 13. I can't stop crying, it wouldn't be possible to express my gratitude. My dog is my best friend.
