Be very aware of this office. They cheat and try to steal from you. Your insurance is supposed to be billed then you get a 3000

I work in healthcare and know how important having good office staff is. They have one of the hardest jobs in the practice because they have to ask for money and deal with insurance, and they are frequently undervalued. The office staff here seemed to be pretty happy with their jobs and had good relationships with one another. The hygienist was friendly and quick with the less comfortable parts of new patient appointments like taking x-rays. They did a good job of asking about the things in my medical history that were relevant to my care and it was obvious they actually read my intake paperwork. My imaging and teeth were reviewed by Dr. Yaya. I appreciated her conservative approach. She was attentive in asking how much something was bothering me before instantly recommending extra procedures for me. She was willing to watch a minor shaded spot on my x-ray rather than instantly recommending a filling. I have only been to the practice once, but I am planning to stay.

Did not give me a syringe to clean out my my wounds. I also waited in the lobby for an hour before my appointment at 2:30...which was then at 3:30/45 . Told me to call if I had any issues and if i called on a weekend, to leave a voicemail, because "we get back quick" ..WRONG!! Left 2 voice mails one on Saturday about meds and one about an appointment on Sunday. Call was not returned until Monday morning. Called on Monday and was told that "it just takes a while because it's a hard procedure on the body" ...I said well I want to be sure I'm hurting because I'm healing and not because there's something wrong. To which the administration replied "oh okay that makes sense" .....WHY WOULD I CALL YOU ON A MONDAY MORNING AND SATURDAY AND SUNDAY ...IF I COULD WAIT ??? HORRENDOUS. Freaks.

They are friendly and efficient without being rushed, and the appointments start on time. Their office is nicely decorated and in good condition. Last Wednesday, I bit my tongue badly, it was bleeding for a few hours. I thought it would heal up quickly, the following Monday there was still a little portion that was partly detached and flapping out from the side. I called them Monday morning, and they were able to fit me in an hour after I called. Dr. Ted examined my tongue and told me that it will heal fine on its own and educated me about how the tongue heals. He said that there were procedures that they could do but they likely wouldn't help, it will heal fine on its own and grow back to its normal shape over time. He gave me an ointment and recommended that I avoid spicy food for a few days and keep it clean with a mouth rinse. I was so relieved to hear that my tongue would be okay, and on top of that . . . there was no charge for the visit! That was really nice and unexpected, and makes me feel valued as a loyal patient. I've had a lot of bad experiences recently with other medical providers -- hour long waits, waiting on hold or not being able to reach anybody on the phone, unreasonably high bills for small services, etc. It's really nice to have a dentist that doesn't do any of that, that provides excellent and friendly service at a reasonable price. I expect that I'll remain a loyal customer and will recommend Dr. Ted's practice to family and friends if they are looking for a new dentist.

I hate all dentist equally but have found love at Tower Dental Care!!! I began seeing Dr. Paul…read moreHeinrichs after reading an article that talked about his commitment to providing dental care to the animals at The Toledo Zoo. The fact that he cleaned Max the Gorrilla's teeth and still had all his fingers was a strong enough recommendation for me. Over the years Dr. Heinrichs replaced several old filings and capped teeth only if the original tooth was too fragile. At all times he was gentle yet thorough. One day after a cleaning I thought I needed a cavity filled. Dr. Heinrichs had a full schedule but Dr. Jan Bosserman was available. You can imagine my surprise when Dr. Bosserman looked at the X-Ray and pointed out the tooth that needed a ROOT CANAL! I began to squawk then heard Dr. Heinrich's laughing, stating he knew if I heard root canal, I would bolt, never to return. To say I was profoundly happy that Dr. Bosserman did my root canal is an understatement. He was very calm and and I never experienced a moment of pain or discomfort before, during or after the procedure. Not that I would recommend a root canal as a way to spend an afternoon but I am not afraid to have another one if needed. I now see Dr. Craig Burrow as my primary dentist. He is young enough that I won't have to train a new dentist, smart as a whip and as with everyone in this office, he is so personable. He always takes the least invasive yet most thorough approach to dentistry. He discusses various options if available and is very up fromt about costs. I have found Tower Dental to be willing to work with you if a procedure is very expensive. Recently Dr. Burrow accepted my mother as a new patient. She had been experiencing problems with her dentures and eating. After an examination and adjustments to her current dentures, we decided to purchase a new pair. The amount of time and care given to my mom was incredible. From the moment Lindsey helped my mom from her van into the office to assistance leaving, my mom was shown such loving care and respect. I would recommend any elderly parent be treated as a patient in this practice. The rest of the office staff? What can I say. You are a stranger here just once. All the hygienist and office staff are warm and welcoming. They know if you have a favorite hygienist, work with your schedule and I have never had a problem getting in when I have had an emergency. Their calm demeanor help Dental Phobics like me relax and almost believe I'm going to enjoy the trip. I cannot recommend Dental Tower Care more highly. They certainly have put a smile on my face.

In short, he's a bit of a dental nerd, but the cool kind like Elon Musk. Bravo, Tower Dental!

Avoid at all costs. You are better off pulling your own teeth with a pair of pliers. The quality of…read moredental work will be roughly the same (unfortunately I am not joking) and you will save yourself some money. Below is my detailed review. I took a lot of time to type it out, hopefully someone will find it helpful when selecting a dentist. I originally went to this guy's practice when my previous dentist in the area (Nancy Hartzell) retired. His Central Ave office was close to where I lived and accepted my insurance, so I said why not? My first visit was for a dental cleaning in May 2021, if not earlier. The dental hygienist (I think her name was Jessica) was actually the best dental hygienist in my 20 years or so of going to the dentist, so coming back for cleanings was a no brainer. Ever since my first visit, this guy (sorry, but after the dental work I received I cannot bear to call him a Doctor - the word bum seems more appropriate, but because I don't like being impolite, I will stick with 'this guy'), told me I had a cavity. I never experienced any pain whatsoever, and after each cleaning I smiled and politely said no. Despite having no pain, and seeing nothing on the X-Rays that he was showing me, each and every visit I was pressured and pressured and pressured. If you like being pressured into dental work, this guy is the perfect dentist for you! Unfortunately in November 2022, I caved. It's just a cavity (a routine dental procedure to the best of my knowledge) and I have insurance that will cover it, how bad can it be? Well, it turns out quite bad. After the numbness wore off towards the evening, I realized I couldn't chew. Couldn't chew at all! The pain when I would clamp down on any piece of food using the tooth with the filling was excruciating (I am a guy who's had shoulder dislocation, ACL/meniscus tears, surgeries to repair all that stuff - without pain killers I may add - so I am not that pain sensitive). If being in that much pain appeals to you, by all means, this is the dentist for you! I believe I called the office the following morning. They had me come back in to take an X-Ray and check the seal (I am not a dentist and I am going off memory, so forgive me if a seal is not the correct dental term - but they checked something with the X-Ray). He said the seal was fine, so I was instructed to not chew on that side. Well to be really specific, I was actually told that teeth are like sprained ankles and needed complete rest in order to heal. I had no idea that the anatomy of teeth and ankles were so similar, but I took this guy at his word. I left the office and did as this guy said. No chewing at all on the right side. When I tried chewing on that side again about 10 days later, the pain was not any better! I picked up the phone again and called the office. When I came back in, he first put some more resin on the filling. This guy then proceeded to explain to me that the dental work was top quality, and that there was nothing more he could do for me. Actually, the problem was that I had sensitive teeth! Imagine hearing that. It's not his fault, it's mine. My teeth are too sensitive! Needless to say I came home shocked. I had no idea whether to try and find another dentist. Will they just start drilling? It's one thing to repair something, and it's another to try and fix someone's botched repair. There was nobody I could trust. I ended up just going to my PCP and we decided to just let it sit. In late March/early April (3 months later!!!) I started to be able to chew some soft foods again. However, now I have problems with my jaw. I am not 100% positive, but I think it's related to only being able to chew on one side for that long. Go figure ... But wait, there is more! Here is the kicker. This office went out of network with my insurance less than a month before the procedure was performed. Not only did they not tell me, I explicitly asked the office staff if the procedure would be covered by my insurance at the time of scheduling. Can you guess what they said? Now, they are trying to bill me full price after I carried insurance for many years and did not use the insurance at all. I am fortunate enough to be at a point in life where from the financial perspective, this bill is not an issue. However, in light of everything that happened, I cannot bring myself to pay it. At some point you have to stand up for yourself, right? Part of that process is taking my little free time to write this review. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading. Good luck finding a dentist, and if you find a good one, be sure to let me know!

My cost was $300 and some dollars. A bit high cost as I had good dental insurance, I thought but paid it anyway as his service was good. Unfortunately, a month or so later he sent me ANOTHER bill for the same services. I figured it was a computer error as they had billed a friend of mine twice also. They wanted $222 more! They called me a week later and told me they " found" some new expenses and I HAD to pay it. I will pay it but I ain't happy about about being scammed and I hope they don't " find"another $222 this next following month that I owe them, again. All I can say is for everyone to get a paper receipt when they pay at the office that says PAID IN FULL as I didn't and its my word against theirs and it cost me hundreds if dollars more. That's an honest evaluation of my experience there. Too bad.. He was a good dentist.

They also did not allow Dr. Poz to mail out letters informing his patients of his retirement (nor Dr. Kloster who was right next door & they took his business over too). They also changed my appointment time from 5:00P to 2:00P without checking with me. The first time I ever heard anything about 2:00P was when they left a message to "confirm" my 2:00P appointment. I immediately called & told them my appointment has never been scheduled in the afternoon as I work & that it was scheduled for 5:00P. They told me they no longer have 5:00P appointments as they changed their hours. She tried claiming they mailed something out but I never received anything. They also tried claiming Dr. Poz mailed letters out but interesting enough, not only did I not receive the letter but none of my family members did either. It's just one lie after another. Plus, none of Dr. Poz's staff is there. They did a whole change of personnel. I informed them I will not be back as there's just too many lies.
