At Aspen in Toledo Ohio they do keep their word. They guarantee they will get it right. I had a set of dentures made. They didnt fit right. Dr Badam is wonderful. She had me come back to redo them. Every time I had a problem with the way they fit they took care of it until I had a perfect fit. The girls/Dental Techs Demerica, Keosha, and Sabrena were all kind, friendly, and understanding. They are very professional. They were knowledgeable. They never lost patience with me when I said these still are not right. A wonderful group at the Talmadge Rd office. I would highly reccomend them.. They will work with you until they get your dentures right. They want you satisfied. I Am. Thank you Dr. Badam and the staff. I just had an appointment with Dr. Badam at Aspen Dental in Toledo, Ohio (apologies if the spelling is incorrect). I was supposed to have three teeth filled, one of which was a wisdom tooth. The problem wasn't the front staff. It was the dentist. She walked in with a very clinical attitude, as if she really didn't care about me as a patient. After she starts, she pokes me with a needle where I felt a burning sensation in my mouth. I flinched because of the sudden pain. She stopped and waited, asking how I felt. I made a joke to lighten the mood but also express concern by saying, "Well...I kind of don't like dentists." I laughed to let her know I was joking. She berated me, saying she didn't care how I felt about the situation, but if I had any more burning sensations. That was my cue; it would go downhill from there. I said nothing about her response and let it slide. During the procedure, I also started coughing because some water went down the wrong pipe when my mouth was open. I let her and the assistant know everything was cool, the young lady got me some water (by the dentist's snobbish insistence though I said I was fine. I let that slide too) and we continued. A few times during the procedure, I flinched as a reaction because I felt some pain. After the third time, she berated me again, telling me I needed to stop flinching, that I had done it four times as if I had done it on purpose to bother her though she was the one drilling in my mouth, and just raise my hand if I felt any pain. That was the last straw. This dentist talked to me not like a customer or a patient. She talked to me as if she hated me for no reason and I was less than her. I told her point blank: 1. I flinched as a reaction, not because I was trying to make her life more difficult. 2. I'm 57 years old. Don't talk to me like I'm a stepchild. 3. If that is something you can't do, we can end this right now. She opted to end it as I confronted her outright, saying I could get a refund when I didn't ask for one. Though I had an appointment with the other floating dentist there for the next week and I verified they could see me instead before I left, when I returned to get information of who I needed to contact for a complaint, suddenly the other dentist couldn't see me, even though the receptionist said it was possible. My guess is that the dentist did that. I don't know what her problem was and is. I got some strong misandry vibes when I was there. There was no apology for her unprofessional, uncaring, rude behavior. I did nothing wrong. When I spoke up because of the rudeness of this dentist's behavior, she pulled that vindictive move, if indeed it was her. It could have been the office manager, but because of my experience, I wouldn't put it past the dentist to pull something like that. Suffice to say, this doesn't inspire me with a desire to go see a dentist, though I need the work done, apparently. Absolutely horrid experience. read more

Customer service horrible was told my dad will have some antibiotics ready for him just to relieve his pain until his next appointment come to find out the pharmacy still haven't received anything. I called them 3 times already asking why no info was sent to the pharmacy and all they could say is the doctor is busy.my father was seen at 9 in the morning today June 9th 2025 and my father has been dealing with this pain since. Do not go to Aspen dental.They will sit you down to Tell you that a procedure is covered after verifying benefits with your insurance. They had me pay 500 hundreds dollars Up front in order to schedule the appointment. I had the procedure done. Months later i received a bill for 1600 hundred dollars because a service they said they verified was covered was now denied by the insurance. I called for months trying to figure out what happened and I was promised each tone that the office manager Jeremiah would call me and guess he did not. When I finally talked to him and asked why he never called back he says he has been dealing with a lot of patients. Jeremiah is the worst office manager. He is to busy for months to return my call. No free exam or extra to new customers. My insurance was charged and it exhausted my remaining annual benefits and I was not even ask if I had insurance. They billed my insurance without my knowledge. Then they wanted 5000 for new dentures which is more expensive than I had already gotten other estimates for. DO NOT GO! I went back in 2023 to get all my wisdom teeth removed and it was a nightmare! I had to pay upfront which I expected and had insurance cover the rest. They had told me that they take Tricare insurance, and they quoted me the right amount. AFTER I had the procedure, they tried to charge me double the price and I refused because we had it all figured out and they wouldn't let me do the procedure before paying in full. I was then told that they weren't covered by Tricare even after they said they were and even after trying to charge me double they asked for another $1,200 after I had already paid over $1,900 upfront. After talking with insurance, they had to be re-instated, so they sent in a paper, and it was all covered and delt with after continuous calling and final notices that the final amount was threatened to go to collections. Fast forward to today (almost a year after), I got a debt collector trying to collect money for Aspen dental even though everything was settled and done. My mom is a dental hygienist, and I had talked with the Dr in the office which is the one who had told me to get the procedure done, and he was astounded to hear the problems just with the payment side. I had gone to 3 different Aspen offices in and around Toledo and it's not even the worst thing. I had shown him the codes for the procedure which are what they charge you for and they not only up coded stuff to get more money they charged for false codes which is fraud! Even through the procedure I had paid to be put under (fully asleep) during the whole thing and within 30 min I had woken up and they wouldn't give me any more to put me back under so I woke up, was panicking since there were wires all over me trying to let them know that maybe they should give me more to put me under and they wouldn't do anything! If I could give negative stars I would! I've never had a worse experience anywhere in my life! I would highly recommend not to go here for any procedure or anything in general! This is the worst dental care i've had in my entire life. I came in for three fillings and left with two incomplete fillings with no instructions on what to do after. The main dentist is the rudest healthcare professional I've ever met in my entire life. When I was asking questions about the procedure and how I should feel she was speaking to me rudely and very matter of factly. She was talking to me like I was a child and didn't know English. She gave me shots on my top and bottom and started drilling not even 2 minutes later when I had told her I wasn't sure if I was numb or not. When I asked how numb I should be she told me,"You're either numb or you're not." after I made it clear I wasn't numb enough to start. When I had her stop because I was feeling pain, she got upset with me and was telling me there was no possible way I should be feeling pain still. She gave me another injection and continued not even 2 minutes after. After I stopped her the first time, she began treating my mouth and teeth very roughly. I could feel how much harder she was using the drill and how much rougher she was pulling at my cheeks and lips the second time. When I stopped her again because I was still feeling pain. She told me again there's no reason I should feel pain and STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PROCEDURE. She said there's nothing she wants to do for me anymore and I will have to see another dentist to see if someone else can fix it. At this point I was crying from the pain and the unprofessional treatment. She gave me two terrible unfinished fillings and then just left the room! They didn't want to give a refund for the upcoming appointment I had either! NEVER GO HERE!!!! read more

I called yesterday and spoke to someone from Aspen's call center who was able to get me scheduled for today. Well, the person I spoke to didn't really seem to know what he was talking about. First of all I requested a specific hygienist and I don't think that he scheduled my appointment time with her. Secondly, I did tell him what insurance I had but when I arrived to the appointment I was told that they do not accept my insurance. I'm pretty irritated especially since I don't live close by and had to find a sitter for this appointment. This was definitely a waste of my time!! The ladies at the reception desk were nice but they told me that they called to notify me they don't accept my insurance. I don't believe that is true because although they did call me, they only left me a voicemail for me to "confirm" my appointment time. The voicemail said nothing about insurance. read more

The entire experience of my visit was extremely disappointing. While I cannot speak for the other Aspen Dental offices in the area, I can do so for the Talmadge location based on my most recent visit. The staff was really rude and condescending upon checking in for my appointment while making it a point to alert everyone in the lobby area and within ear shot of my Medicade status (I actually came out of pocket $1500.00 on the visit to have a wisdom tooth extracted). Once the young lady at the front desk learned the invoice bill would be taken care of in cash, she became briefly pleasant to speak with (Surprise, Surprise). Upon being called back for the procedure, the doctor displayed an extremely unprofessional behavior and did not do anything to curve my anxiety at the time. He appeared uncaring about my concerns regarding the forthcoming procedure and did not address my issues with the pain as I attempted to explain I felt much pain and that I will need more nonvaccine before continuing with the procedure. It may just be a coincidence that everyone in the office was having a bad day and my treatment had nothing to do with my perceived ability to pay for their services. With that being said, It is my opinion that every client should be treated with a certain level of respect and dignity and not have to experience humiliation and embarrassment based on their financial status or ability to pay. To all who shall read this review, please know that I regret not taking the opportunity provided by my parents to visit a more friendly and professional Dental practice (Dr. Frankel), where the entire staff makes it their mission to ensure their client's experience is pleasant and fulfilling. I called on Friday to get the earliest appointment available for my son, he'd fallen down at school and chipped his 2 front teeth. We wouldn't be able to get in until Tuesday, but that was still faster than our dentist. At the time I scheduled his appointment, they took our insurance information, and assured me they accepted our insurance. When we got there, I was informed that we would have to pay out of network fees of several hundred dollars. We just walked out. I was livid. I've missed work, my son is missing school, its ridiculous. Its not like they weren't able to tell at the time I scheduled the appointment that they didn't take our insurance or could have told me they where out of network. They chose to withhold that information, and honestly, I can't afford several hundred dollars for just walking in the door. My visit to Aspen Dental on Talmadge was a great experience. Great staff and great Dr. Dr Bloxson is one of a kind. Ashlie was informative and very gentle. Deb at the front desk is always helpful with my scheduling and the office manager, Jamie, was very knowledgable with my insurance and helping me get started with my work. PLEASE find a different dental office to visit if possible. The dental examination rooms are NOT private. Some of the dentists/staff are impersonal, rude. JUST be careful when they try to finance you or give you a dental payment plan you are paying for. This is not a case of you getting what you pay for...this is a case of you paying top dollar and getting bad service for your money. Take my advise and go somewhere with some class who knows how to treat patients. I have heard nothing but horror stories and I regret we ever went there and the money we spent there. We felt taken advantage of...I could go on and on about our experience in detail, but it would take pages. JUST be careful if you go there. You won't have privacy, the staff might be impersonal and you might get ripped off into buying services you don't need. I should have contacted Better Business Bureau about them. read more
