Although the staff was very friendly, the doctor looked like he was in high school and did not even introduce himself when he walked in. I could hear the nurse and the doctor discussing my care from the hallway outside my room which means that so could everyone else. This is a HIPPA violation, so I won't be returning. On top of that, they only seemed interested in getting the final bill as high as they possibly could (to the tune of 23K). They do not take insurance but will bill your insurance so that they pay you back BUT most times out of network dentists (which Aspen is) only get about 30%, instead of 50-80% for an in-network dentist, re-imbursed. All in all, this is totally a for profit business not a medical office, and they don't really care about their patients' health just the bank book at the end of the day. read more

The office experience was a lot to be desired. The front desk receptionist was very cold and somewhat rude with the tone that was used toward the patients or those that walked in with questions. They did nit smile to anyone that came up to the desk area. The other employee sitting behind the desk sat in front of her computer sucking (hearing the sounds sitting in the reception area) on an applesauce pouch while she had many red containers that appeared to be dentures. Schedule appointment was able to be seen within a week. Arrive at office in Berlin ,have x-rays done the x-ray tech was very friendly and considerate when I told her I always have a hard time with the x-ray portion because I have a horrible gag reflex she was fast and accurate. Go to the exam room the dentist walks in I cant even remember if he introduced himself or not he mumbled a ton of work that needed to be done just by looking at the x-rays, which I already knew was going to be a process fixing my teeth due to lack of insurance for years. Then the dental hygienist comes into the room she is very friendly and checks the health of my gums she offers a rx type of toothpaste that will restore minerals needed for gum health. I'm assuming that soon I will be getting my teeth cleaned and then off to schedule an appt. to begin much needed dental work. NEVER ASSUME !!! I was then told to go wait in another room to speak with the finance department. I felt like I was being sold a car. The guy from finance comes we go to his office and he proceeds to tell me that my total cost would be roughly $10,000.00 out of pocket 1st then I myself could ask the insurance to reimburse me, that he would print out a paper with the codes needed to give my insurance company. But wait it gets better... If I wanted I could apply for a loan to help pay with a 39.99% interest rate. Would I like to schedule an appt. ? If so I would have to pay 60% of the cost of what ever procedure I would like to start with first then I could pay the balance on the day of. Went to Aspen Dental and what an experience...had them to call the police on Amanda and of course would not take the complaint from me for the intimidation tactics/harassment and instead they took a complaint from the other (oh the roles...when I was the complaint filer) to have me removed me from the property because they wanted to keep a positive look as a perception of their business...I will give a 3 star in a sense that my 6 year old was attended to. Now, that I think about it...do your dentistry even assist children? Overall, please email or mail my receipt since no costs were provided for NP Exam, YBW..., or PANO (not certain what these services are). Recently moved to the area. Aspen dental was the only one accepting new patients. I needed to have 2 dental implants. Scheduling for the multiple follow up appts is a nightmare. They can only book 2 months out. I was first told that it would be 3 appts. Then it was 4. After my 3rd appt, was told would require 2 more appts. I would not recommend Aspen Dental for implants. It is expensive wherever you go. Find a dentist that can schedule appts more than 2 months out. read more

Salisbury Maryland Aspen Dental. Seniors beware (GET IT IN WRITTING). At a checkup on 6/27/22 the dentist suggested that I needed 4 small Resin-based composite - one surface, posterior fillings due to gum shrinking. I asked the scheduling person to let me know what United Healthcare paid, so I would understand my obligation, the scheduling employee informed me their computer was down at the moment and agreed to call my cell with the information. The fillings were then scheduled for 10/4/22. I should have known when I didn't receive a call back. I did call Aspen Dental two weeks prior to my appointment. The person on the phone said the fillings are covered by my insurance, I would only need to pay for a fluoride treatment that I had requested. Fast forward to 11/7/22 and I receive a bill that my financial obligation is $608. Each of the 5 filling was billed $224 - United Healthcare paid $72 - I have to pay $152 per filling $608. (GET IT IN WRITTING). I always pay my bills, so lesson learned. Are fillings covered?? kinda sorta? Either deceptive or too lazy to check prices for their customer in my opinion. Oh yeah... 2 hours before my appointment I was sent an email notifying me that it needed to be rescheduled. I did not see the email because I was at work. I was told that the appointment had to be rescheduled due to the snow... that's not supposed to start until after 9:00 tonight. This is the second appointment that they've canceled on me. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. After moving to Delaware, I was told Aspen was the only dentist that accepted my insurance. Horrible practice. Had X-rays and was told everything was good, oral health was also good. Six months later after they stopped taking my insurance and I had to find another dentist come to find out I had several cavities that were visible during exam. They were there all along, Aspen overlooked, which is surprising since they are looking to make money. Also, it's very disturbing to pull up to Aspen and see your dentist standing outside smoking. read more

Clean and nice facilities, staff is kind enough, but they said they couldn't X-ray my 9yo daughter's teeth because her "mouth was too small" and said they would do it next visit. Also referred us to a Pediatric dentist for a filling that had fallen out months before. Ended up going to a different dentist near Stevensville who did it all, X-rays + dental work. read more

Reception was busy but nice enough. Dental tech came out and called my name not even 5 minutes later! Dr Wilson called me by name and said hello. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Spirina, the two dentists I encountered, treated me like a stranger with no interest or sensitivity for Customer Service. Simply an assembly line. No interest in comfort or pain management. This is the worst professional experience I've had in my 60+ years. Final visit to install crown,encountered new dentist I'd never seen. Never introduced himself - no evidence he was dentist - no explanation of procedure - no offer to answer questions (turned out to be Dr. Wilson). As far as I know, could have been the janitor. At first visit, the crown was quoted to cost me under $300. Aspen Dental did not create the crown they quoted, which was covered by my insurance. They created another crown that was not covered and then threatened me for a bill that exceeded $1,200. They never advised me that there had been a change in the crown or price. These people should be investigated for their business practices and lack of professionalism. Aspen Dental's intentional bait and switch was nothing short of fraudulent business practice. I found there was no one in authority to discuss the situation with since the local office is simply a shell run by remote management. I am in the process of reporting to the Maryland Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I have reported to my insurance company, CIGNA DHMO, and even they struck out trying to find someone to discuss. I have described the awful experience to anyone who will listen. Crown has been installed because I had no choice but to pay - read the fine print :( I will not return and enrolled for indemnity insurance with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and have a new dental practice for 2019.This dental practice and their personnel reflect very badly on the CIGNA Dental HMO. read more

I had booked appointment to have cleaning a couple of months ago when my wife was there for her appointment and when I got there today they said I wasn't scheduled. I waited for 45 minutes and when I asked reception how much longer she said i didnt have appointment after I had waited for 45 minutes. Highly recommend! From beginning with front desk staff & x-ray tech who were patient & polite. I have a handicap & also hard of hearing and they did not push me to hurry like some doctors offices. The dentist was professional, did not rush, explained options clearly and most important, listened to what I wanted. The office manager was best in helping me find a way to be able to afford my care. She was wonderful. Highly recommend and I will! read more
