The lady who does billing did okay, but what I was billed for seemed to not match the services I received. Was a nightmare trying to get work done. Which never happened. Filled out their form on first visit. Asked about medical issues. I had a medical issue that requires taking antibiotics before teeth are pulled. (Common & nothing out of the ordinary). Dentist asked if I had a current doctor. Told him no. He asked if he could just prescribe the antibiotics. I told him yes. I was told years ago to make dentists aware; and that's how they've always handled it. Proceeded with x-rays, exam. And then things got weird. Needed a lot of work. And it ALL (far as I can tell) had to be scheduled at other offices. Cleaning, deep cleaning, tooth extractions, fillings, crowns... not sure if any of it was going to be scheduled at this office. But they scheduled two starting appointments for me at two different offices in Folsom for that week. Showed up at first Folsom appointment. Tooth cleaning. Was in chair, ready to go. And they said the dentist put an order on my file that I couldn't get work done without getting clearance from my current physician. (Note: I did not have a current physician). So I also had to cancel the second appointment at the other office. (That the dentist - who put the hold on my work - had scheduled). And was told that if I canceled again, they wouldn't see me. So began the journey of getting a new physician. Getting medical/lab tests done since I was a new patient. And in the end, two months later, she just asked me, "So, do I just prescribe an antibiotic? What should I prescribe?"... and signed off the clearance note for the dentist. Where upon... The dentist office just happen to call me a few days later & asked if I had it. I told them yes. I would drop it off that week. And they told me no. I had to scan it and upload it into their system. I told them that I drove by their office almost daily, it would be far more convenient if I could just drop it off. (It was the same paper they handed me months prior in physical, hard copy, form). They said that their dentist needed to be able to read it before they could see me. So I couldn't drop it. I would have to scan and upload it. What the ?! Been close to a year and I still haven't seen a dentist. Far as I can tell, this place makes a living off billing insurance companies for exams and x-rays, and nothing more. I have no idea how to choose a dentist after that experience. And in the meantime, am still in need of dental care. And actually don't know if my insurance company will even pay for a whole new set of x-rays and exam elsewhere since all the work that was previously approved here was never completed. Stay away from this place. I've never seen anything like it.

He chooses different foods for snacks, makes sure we brushes correctly and asks for help flossing. He had to get his first filling and they made him feel so comfortable, he did amazing! I truly believe that having a great dentist this young can form how you view dental hygiene and dental visits for the rest of your life and I am very glad to have found Dr Ziese and her staff!

The cost is very reasonable compared to our last dentist. Wish we would have found her sooner. They recently moved from Diamond Springs to a bigger, nicer and more modern office in Placerville but the same kind, courteous and friendly professionalism remains. When I called, Jay was initially very informative, answering all my questions regarding insurance, the types of fillings used, and how payments would be handled--an important factor for me since the cost of my treatment would use up my entire insurance allowance for the year. After our conversation, I felt reassured enough to move forward with scheduling an appointment. However, I was informed that the office requires a 25% deposit to schedule, with payment in full required on the day of the procedure. Since the total cost was around $2,000, I asked if they would be willing to offer a payment plan for the remaining balance after the deposit. Jay immediately said no, which I understood, and I politely explained that I would need to find an office that could accommodate a payment plan. At this point, Jay snickered and told me she felt like I had just wasted her time. Shocked by her response, I asked if she thought it was unreasonable for a patient to inquire about a surgical procedure and insurance coverage before committing. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she raised her voice and told me it was, in fact, a waste of time--adding that there was already a note in my file stating I was "going somewhere else." The only reason I had requested my X-rays was to obtain an additional quote, which is a completely reasonable and responsible step for a patient. Jay continued to talk over me as I attempted to clarify, forcing me to confirm her name and let her know that her behavior was incredibly unprofessional. If you have a fear of Dentist, this is where you need to be. I have had nothing but extremely friendly and understanding interactions with the whole team. Making appointments is incredibly simple, they kind of handle everything on the insurance side but most importantly my Dentist is incredibly thorough, and explains every step of what she's doing along the way. When I got my numbing shot, didn't feel it. First time I can say that ever. She showed me on my x-rays all of the areas that were of a concern, and of course as a client you get to pick and choose what you want to focus your effort on, but it's kind of nice not having to worry about least important to most, she will handle it all. I got two fillings, I had absolutely zero trouble with the bonding she used after the fact, my teeth aligned perfectly on the first shot. the dental hygienist that cleans my teeth is also very good, another painless procedure, and aside from the wait being nonexistent to be seen, she's also very quick but efficient. I broke a tooth and my mother, Nancy Mathis, told me to see her Dentist. I yelped him and the reviews were positive but I was suspicious that there was a global conspiracy to spin this place as being a good Dentistry Practice. I have associated some of my past expereinces with Dentists right up there with the House of Pain. I came in and I need to tell you that the ladies at the front Counter are Kind, and Hospitable. They processed my Delta Insurance information and communicated right up front what my benefits were that would cover my various services. I went in for my XRAYS and I have a terrible gag reaction to anything in my mouth and they numbed me up and were very patient. Every assistant is amazing. I discovered that I needed a Crown and they preped me for a temporary and created the mold for my permanent crown. They consistently communicated to me that they wanted me to go into Christmas pain free. I came back and got my permanent crown and then I met my Hygienist who gave me a cleaning who is AWESOME! say it with me Matt Delgadillo is an incredible Dentist and does a great job. I have more work to do in 2026 and I am not anxious or worried about sgoing here for my treatment. I highly recommend that if you need Dental Care come here.
