I wish I could leave a review at minus 5. I was lied to and screwed out of money for work I didn't need (dental bone graft). After going thru the grafts and all other work (do anything they could for all the money they could make). After they gave no answers to my questions I demanded an answer to 'when will they start putting in the implants to put new teeth in'. The dentist answered and said "Oh I could have told you in the beginning that your bone structure would not support the implants". They threw me out. Plus they never called me back. To start, they owe me two caps. They told me I wasn't a patient and kept asking me why are you here. I kept telling them I am a patient. But they won and ran me off. I left my name and phone # but they never even called me back. I did have money on my account there also. I called the main # online to get the work they owed me and to make an appointment. All I got was a machine to talk to. A week later they sent me a check for the money I had on my account. They still owe me two caps. The first cap was never put on properly. The girl fought for 2 hours and 20 minutes to get the cap on and it still wasn't on properly. They had numbed me up for a filling but by time they finally got the cap on the numbness wore off. The other cap that was put on ended up having to be drilled through. They told me they would replace it. Sadly this is the only place my insurance will pay. I guess after being embarrassed in front of the people that were there that I went to church with, I'll have to grovel back. I feel hopeless. I haven't been back to the dentist. On behalf of a customer: ZERO stars if possible. ATROCIOUS customer service. Their policy is to attain VERBAL confirmation from the customer for the appointment. If, for whatever reason, this VERBAL confirmation can not be attained, they preemptively CANCEL the appointment. This happened to a friend and another customer who was ahead in line. We kept our appointment (01/29/24, 8 AM), just the be told it was canceled... AFTER... we already checked in and waited SEVERAL minutes. Their "solution?" Reschedule. Indeed, we have nothing else to do than go to the dentist anytime we can. My friend HAD to reschedule there because of schedule constraints. They told him the WHOLE procedure could be done at the next appointment (01/31/2024, 8 AM). So the original schedule was for 3 dates. My friend canceled the last appointment because they told him it could be finished one day. I'll give you all one guess if this actually happened... (Spoiler: No) So now he has to find ANOTHER date to finish the procedure, which means he has to find another 1/2 day off of work. Oh, BTW, my friend is DISABLED, so he has to find someone to take him there. So that's TWO people who are put out of their plans due to this ridiculous system they have. Then, after his first treatment, he had some concerns about the treatment not feeling right. He left four messages on their system but not one replied. Go here for an appointment at 11:30 just to be told it was actually at 10:15. My appointment card says 11:30. They told me themselves 11:30 and I have email saying it was for 11:30. Receptionist said maybe I could come in tomorrow @ noon. I took off work for today to have a tooth removed. I can't just take another day off work. Overcharged a elderly woman. I was told I have no dental insurance and paid for dentures. My insurance rep said my Medicare indeed does have dental. They charged my insurance company funny enough for treatments. That never happened and I thought I didn't have dental. They keep saying they'll refund my money but never do. I can't imagine how many people they've screwed over. read more

This is without a doubt a terribly run dentist office, I have been 6 months trying to get 3 cavities filled. In 6 months I have succeeded in getting 1 filled. they are forever canceling appointments. twice I have sat in the waiting room for 1/2 an hour only to be told that they had to cancel my appointment, today i arrived at Aspen Dental at 9:50 for a 10:00 appointment, Sat in the waiting room until 10:30. They then informed me that they had to cancel my appointment due to the fact that i had arrived late for my 9:45 appointment even though i have emails showing my appointment time at 10:00. By the way ,there was nobody else in the waiting room and everybody that went in before me had already come out. I got mad and let them know exactly how I felt. -100 is how they rate. This is a corporate dentistry and it engages in deceptive and predatory business practices to keep their numbers up. They lure people in with their ads of a free dental cleaning, check up & xrays (even without insurance). Once they have you in their office, they then set you up for a treatment plan that will cost you hundreds/thousands and it's for work that you don't even need done. This is fraud. Both the dental & office staff are in a state of constant turn over and chaos, with the people that remain not qualified to be working in dentistry. Run away and don't go here ! read more

I have read some negative reviews on Aspen dental and for the life of me I cannot understand how their experience could be so different than mine. The team is incredible. The doctor is incredible. When I was looking for a dentist, I read the negative reviews, but Aspen dental was convenient and worked within my insurance. I am so glad that I went to Aspen dental and didn't let the bad reviews change my mind. if you are looking for a dentist please give them a try.. I honestly don't think you will regret it. I know I am so glad I did. I had extractions and an upper denture. In January I go back to get my lower denture and I don't dread it because of the care and understanding this team provides. read more

So this is my 3 visit here and I have to say I'm am super anxious when it comes to dentist ! But they were able to get me in for a really bad infection, got my antibiotics and had another appointment scheduled since I was scared the extraction would hurt while having an infection even with the numbing. They made me a new appointment a few weeks later came and and I'm kind of freaking out but Elizabeth ( she has short hair I hope that's your name I forget alot) was AMAZING!! Making me feel as calm as I could feel in the dentist. The dentist was very nice but isn't here anymore I really liked her she was able to handle my sissy lala self. My next appointment was a deep cleaning with Melissa and she was nice and make me feel great after and my teeth look and feel amazing. Reason for 4 star... 2 or third appointment I came in and was told the person wasn't here and they needed to reschedule since the person that I was scheduled for wasn't scheduled that day , was mad cause I took the whole day off for this but they were able to get me in with someone else. 4 time in for my deep cleaning there was another schedule conflict! And was almost told they weren't able to the whole thing. But they figured it out and was able to get what I scheduled done! So almost 5 stars . Will continue coming hopefully no more schedule problems! read more

I'm absolutely scared of dentist, but this office reassured me every step of the way. they were quick with responding, and even got me into a sooner appointment. I had to have an extraction done (normally I have to be sedated) but he did wonderful removing the tooth. I had no pain, and he worked fast but also at a pace that suited me as well. I didn't even know the tooth was removed until he said something. I will continue to see him and his staff as they are superb! thank you so much. I would give 0 stars if I could. I was asked to come in 15 minutes before my appointment to ensure I'm there on time. I have now been waiting c 2 hours... I've watched the waiting room fill up and empty multiple times. Don't come here unless you like sitting around for hours and have a completely free schedule. Still haven't seen the dentist and I have already made up my mind that I will never be back. Updating my review: went to the dentist I usually see 14 hours away where my family is to get a second opinion and get my teeth cleaned since they didn't even do that when I was there... Aspen told me I needed a $160+ treatment which my dentist told me I definitely did not. On top of that they said it would take 4-6 days to fax over my xrays. My dentist had been calling for days to get these but they never picked up till the day of my appointment. read more

It all started okay; I got my dental plan which included a couple of extractions That they could not do because their dentist was a temp. They sent me to another dentist that charged me $800.00 to extract 2 teeth. then on the nest appointment I get a filling and then a deep cleaning. All of this is cash out of my pocket that needed to be paid up front. Then I came in and paid in full for the whole dental plan. Which included extracting all teeth and receiving a full upper denture and lower partial to go around the k9s. I came for the appointment and found the partial was not correct. The dentist pulled only upper teeth and would have to wait for the lower. The dental assistant called to tell me I would have to have an oral surgeon pull my lower teeth due to the dentist not willing to do it. I said I cannot afford that. She said not to worry that it was not my fault, and that aspen dental would pay. Then after the work was finished, I got a bill in the mail, for the work I said I could not afford. When it was time for my final imprecations, I was told they will not do any further work without payment. I explained the situation to the office manager I was told that Tiffany no longer works there, and she put no notes in the file and that she would have check with corporate. I have never heard back from and she will not return my calls. I would not recommend anyone to this place. It seems there is a new team in there every time I go there. read more

My wife called Aspen Dental on Wards Road in Lynchburg because I needed an emergency appointment. Although the website says, (as well as a sign in their front window), emergency walk-ins are welcome, that is not the case. You need an appointment. When she called, she explained that I needed. Tooth extracted and needed it done today. I also heard her specify that if it couldn't be done today to just say that. She arranged an emergency 3pm appointment. We arrived at 2:50 and were met with forms to complete. OK, fine. As we are standing there another gentleman came in and said he had an emergency 3 pm appointment, as well as the next person who came in, a 3 pm appointment. Both were called before us. When I was called back, they took an X-ray of my tooth and were going to do a complete set. I told them again, I was there for only 1 tooth. I waited 20 minutes, only to be told my tooth need to be extracted. Yeah, I already knew that. Also, they couldn't do it today. Wait, what? Back to the waiting room to wait for financial consultation. What? My wife gave them our insurance card, as well as telling her on the phone we were prepared to pay whatever was needed. When consultation time came, this woman who claimed to be the office manager, was so proud to show us what our insurance paid, also what a coupon (don't know where that came from), took off and finally got to what we owe for the extraction. Oh good, they are doing it today!? No, there is an available appointment tomorrow morning. Again, wait, what? I have to prepay a day in advance for a tooth extraction? By this time, my wife was ready to pay for today's visit and just go to our regular dentist, which we just should have done in the first place, but wasn't feeling like driving to Bedford. We were told there was no charge for today, a free visit I guess, even though they have signs stating free initial visits only apply to people with no insurance. I am confused. While this was going on, my wife was getting her wallet out of her purse, agitated, she dropped her phone and glasses on the counter, and the person sitting on the other side said, can you stop throwing things at me! She wasn't "throwing" anything. Then she was told when we came tomorrow morning for an appointment, she was to wait in the car. I knew right then it was over. The person asked if we would like to talk to her boss. My wife replied yes. We were then told that her boss had heard everything and wasn't coming out to talk. Coward, if you can't control the youngsters that work for you, you are in the wrong line of work! We left, my wife used some colorful language (no one else was in the waiting room), which is not like her at all, and we left. The girl at the front desk was pleasant, and it ends there. Don't waste your time and money at this place. If they can't up sell you, they get rude. They don't do what they say they will. This visit was a total waste of time. The reason for one star is you can't give a zero. I wouldn't want to be alone with that rude woman without my wife, she really was kind of creepy and loved her little power trip. It reminded me of a four year old child playing boss. Left at 4:30, went to our dentist, tooth was pulled, out by 6, all is good. Also, had we known there was a class action lawsuit against Aspen Dental, we never would have gone there in the first place.
