I was just there today due to an emergency tooth pain that ended up being a cracked tooth. I explained to them how I'm petrified of the dentist and they told me step by step on what they were doing and the assistant was really kind to me. They found the problem and got me antibiotics to take to help the pain along with ibuprofen 800. They didn't want to do anything to me today because it would cause me more pain then anything and wanted me on antibiotics first since i have a heart problem. They were very kind to me and told me if I'm not comfortable with anything they recommend they won't force me to do it. Very open and honest to me. So I'm praying my experience that i had today will be the same next week when i get a cracked tooth removed. It was nice walking in there and all staff had smiles on their faces and not a look of " i don't want to be here" look. So that was comforting. read more

i got my dentures from the hendersonville store ,my lowers broke 3 times! When i went back to the hendersonville store it was closed down!So I was directed to the Galatin store where they they told me the reason my dentures broke is because they were printed 3D and it was an inferior product, and the lower denture they could replace would be a much better product! I got my lower replaced and its great! So now i want my upper 3 D printed inferior denture replaced with the good dentures!!! And do you think they even offered hell no So I'm hiring an attorney , Ive spent 17,000.00 with this incompetent company and you can bet your sweet ass im going to get my due!!!!!! read more

If I rated the staff and prices if would be 4 stars, but I wouldn't give the dentist one star. My husband had a tooth extracted 4 o'clock day before yesterday today it's 1055 and his tooth is still bleeding. He doesn't smoke. He doesn't grind his teeth. Nothing like the dentist asked me. He's not on blood pressure medicine nothing they could've killed him. Gallatin, TN location - Worst Dental experience of my life. My first time there, they had me fill out paperwork that said something to the effect of, "Sign stating that you received a copy of this disclaimer"... But the disclaimer was not available. When I asked the front desk, they had no idea where to find the disclaimer. They ended up taking pictures of the Disclaimer from the tablet, then printed off half size blurry and unreadable disclaimer... Then got upset with me when I told them I could not read it. As others have said, they told both my wife and I that we needed dental work that the last dental office did not say we needed. Basically they were just adding stuff that is not needed just to charge up costs. They set up a cleaning for Oct 19 at 2:00 PM. My wife and I took time out of work to be at this appointment. When we walk in, they all quickly put their face mask on, but none of them came to welcome us. After about 30 uncomfortable seconds, one of them asked how they can help us. We told them that we have a cleaning at 2:00 PM. The first person walked into the back (Into the supervisors office). A second person walked in from outside and said, "We are closed"... We said, "We have a cleaning at 2:00"... Her response was, "We are closed". I said, that can't be, because we have a 2:00 o'clock cleaning, and she repeated, "We are closed". A third person walked up and asked how she could help and we said, we have a 2:00 o'clock cleaning and she said, "I don't see you in the system"... we have yet to tell them our name and this is only the second time we have been there. At this point it was clear they did not want our business so we told them to remove us from their system and we left. My suggestion, DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL CLINIC. After my absolutely horrific experience, I went to a recommended dentist who found nothing remotely wrong with me. Something about this Aspen Dental is so morally wrong. People are supposed to be able to trust medical professionals to tell them the truth. Aspen quoted me $3600 worth of work that I needed done when all I asked for was my cleaning. If I could give Aspen Dental ZERO stars, I would. I would never send anyone to ANY Aspen Dental location after the experience I had yesterday. My teeth have had prior "bonding", where composite material had been affixed and shaped to my front teeth to fill gaps, instead of getting braces to correct the spacing that had existed there. I chipped a very small corner off my left front tooth, and realized it needed to be sealed because the actual tooth was showing where the composite had chipped. I called to get an appointment to fix that very small chip on the corner of my front tooth. The call center worker did not explain that I was NOT making an appointment to achieve this goal. She scheduled me for the bait and switch tactic Aspen uses of examining a patient for $19, then charging exorbitant prices to resolve the patients' issue. This was not helpful to me at all, as I regularly visit my family dentist every 6 months and was not due for this service. I ignorantly allowed radiographs to be done, exposing myself to unnecessary radiation. I'm a Radiologic Technologist and should have refused this service, knowing that I've already had my teeth imaged this year and that unnecessary medical radiation can contribute to the formation of cancers. It's the basis of radiation safety, which is a major part of my life and career. I'm also overly polite and don't like to make a scene. The lead apron was given to me, but was oversized and ill-fitting, covering my torso from the collarbones down. My thyroid and lenses of my eyes were exposed to scatter radiation during the unbelievably long process of taking a projected TWELVE images using an outdated and very uncomfortable bite wing holder contraption. The x-ray machine had duct tape and fiberglass tape in multiple locations, holding it together. I say "projected" because the x-ray films could not be completed. While the worker was struggling to move the taped arm supporting it, the the x-ray machine literally fell apart, with wires hanging out the arm of the machine, the housing of the unit hanging by these exposed wires. The worker struggled to support the machine to keep it from falling onto my head. I reached out and supported it while she went to get the dentist to show her the broken machine. The dentist instructed her to end the x-rays at that point. I was then taken back so a hygienist could assess my gums. Which she did, quickly and professionally. That lady is the only asset to the Gallatin, TN location of Aspen Dental. Then the dentist, Dr ShaMere T Walker briefly examined my teeth. I informed her that my chipped front tooth which was the sole purpose of my visit. She told me I had signed up only for the $19 examination. It was at this point that I realized my visit was likely futile. She then informed me that all of my existing fillings needed to be replaced with crowns. She barely discussed my chipped tooth in the front, and told me that I would be given an estimate on services next. I then had a consultation on the cost of SEVEN crowns, which I truly believe to be entirely unnecessary procedures. These seven crowns amounted to a projected TWELVE visits and sum total of just under SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. I can only imagine the stress and heartache an unsuspecting victim would have to go through, if they weren't educated in modern medicine's involvement with insurance companies. I immediately recognized this insurance fraud tactic because I'm a medical worker, and have seen what happens when doctors put their and their business's interest before patient health, safety and well being. I was more than happy to let the office worker know that I'm currently without insurance and without employment, because I'm a contract worker between contracted jobs. ALL of this was discussed before I was *finally* told that the small chip in my tooth could be repaired for $350. The dentist had categorized it as a "filling" so the insurance company would pay out more. I literally needed a 4 millimeter piece of composite bonded to the corner of my tooth to seal the bonding that had chipped off. This is NOT a filling. This is an attempt to charge for service that does not correspond to the service that would be rendered. This would have been insurance fraud, had I had insurance. I then revealed that I do not have the funds for such exorbitant costs, knowing that if I wait for an opening, my family dentist would charge me a vastly lower cost to fix the chip. The consultation worker informed me they had payment plans. I told her wouldn't be getting any services and left. This is hands down the WORST experience I've ever had with any dental facility. It was a complete waste of two hours of my life and $19 of my HSA. I would NEVER send anyone to Aspen Dental. read more

I had the earliest appointment on a Monday. I just wanted my teeth cleaned. I did not want ex-rays. I have heathly teeth!!! I was forced to have ex-ray after waiting in the Lobby for over an hour. I waited and waited. I had a quick check up and finally a cleaning. I was at the office from 9-1:30. Yes 4 and 1/2 hours to have my teeth cleaned! Waste of my time. I meet with someone regarding costs and I was told my insurance would cove the intire bill. Now I receive a bill for $108. Insurance stated over 1/2 the bill should be written off. Now I get to spend more time fighting the bill. Yikes what a complete waste of my time! I wasn't going to complain until I have to waste time fighting over the bill...... read more

The first time I went to Aspen Dental I was pleased by the staff and their interactions with me. After having gone to local dentist the year before and paying over $ 2000.00 for dental work only to have my teeth start breaking and crumbling due to the dentist drilling my teeth so thin they are weak, I was pressed to find a dentist when one of my teeth broke off at the gum line. After accessing my teeth, recomendation were made for treatment....... over $ 3000.00 dollars worth. I went over the next several week / months and the visits were great. Until .......... the partial that I had to have did not fit as planned. Even after several adjustments. Toward the end I could tell the dentist at the time (they seem to change often) was getting aggrevated with me. To this day the partial does not fit well. I have to remove it to eat as the tooth on the front will break off. It has worn grooves into my other teeth where it clamps in, they now continue to hurt. It still does not look good cosmetically and is quite obviously fake. When trying to talk to the dentist about my concerns they were dismissed with a "I can keep the partial and give you a portion of your money back so you can go somewhere else" Really I am weeks in waiting and $$$$ in and this is the response I got. The last straw was when a few weeks after having the partial, I was getting ready to go into a company wide meeting in which I would have to speak in front of everyone. OMG !!!! my tooth broke off my partial (this is a tooth in the front of my mouth) With little time to spare I rush over to Aspen Dental (3 blocks down the road) I explain the situation, I am told to wait a moment while they take my tooth and partial into the back. They then came out and told me they could glue the tooth back on but I would have to leave it with them for a few hours.... WHAT !!!!! I was going into a meeting. (The gluing process takes just a few minutes) I begged but they said that the girl was busy working on other items and would not be able to spend two minutes gluing my tooth back on that should not have fallen off in the first place...... I was so angry and disappointed that I have never darkened their door again. As far a my meeting, I went to the drugstore bought some Superglue and glued the tooth back on myself. Yes, it has come off a few more times, but it only happens every few months and I keep the superglue handy............... read more

This place reminds me of a used car lot. They're more interested in selling junk than actually treating you as a patient. Every time I've gone there, they've charged at least $100 for a regular cleaning. When I ask what the charges are for, the office manager can never tell me. When I ask the hygienist (after I've paid) it's for fluoride treatments that I don't need or want. They refuse to refund my money and I've yet to see a dentist after 3 visits for cleanings. With each of these 3 visits, they try to tell me I need all these different things that cost at least $700 out of pocket that I don't really need. I called their corporate office to see about getting a refund on my money for the cleaning and was told I would only receive a refund if I never returned to aspen. So I've been dumped for refusing an unnecessary treatment and still don't have money back! read more

Love the hygienist, Andrea. I went in a few months ago to get a chipped front bottom tooth fixed. They put a "filling" in it a few weeks later after a cleaning. It fell out two weeks later. I had to wait two weeks for an appointment for a crown. Got a temporary. Fell out LITERALLY an hour later. Went back last week so they could re-cement it. Guess what? Chipped and came off. I haven't even been using my front teeth. Thank you aspen, for making my life a living hell. Good thing I already paid for the crown.... Not. read more

Horrible experience. I was told that employees at Aspen work on commission. I'm unsure if this is true or not, but after my costly experience I do not doubt it! I needed two crowns and root canals and a deep cleaning. They did an estimate and showed me the total. I asked to see the entire estimate and was finally allowed to after a little hesitation. Included in this total was a charge for an electric toothbrush (over $100) and for some different rinses and washes that were not necessary. So after I chiseled away the unnecessary waste from the estimate, I got the work done. When I got my final crowns, they placed them both in my mouth and had me bite down one of those cotton things. So I did and one of them broke--yes broke--into several pieces....a crown!!! A final crown!!! The response I got was Well I've never seen that before! Well no s***! That's because it not supposed to happen. So they put the temporary one back in & ordered another one to replace the shattered one. So, when the next one came in, I got it put in. And they still charged me for an office visit, even though it was clearly their fault that I even needed to do a return visit. But whatever. So, two weeks later, that one fell out of my mouth while I was out of state. Yes, my permanent crown fell out after two weeks. And if you're wondering what horribly sticky thing I was eating, it was a baked potato. Yeah. So, when I got back in town, I went AGAIN and had it put in AGAIN!!! And was of course charged another office visit but I refused to pay! I figure if it was put it properly the first time, it would not have come out. So...a few months later I needed a cleaning and clearly wasn't going to that money pit. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I had a cavity underneath my 6 month old crown...yeah you read that right. So either they didn't clean it properly the first time and left some of the cavity OR the crown had a crack in it. My new dentist wasn't sure which was the case. But either way, I had to buy another crown because that one was crap. If you like getting screwed over then please use Aspen because that is a job that they do right. Seriously, I wouldn't let anyone I know use this place. This truly was the worst business experience I have ever been through in my life. read more

Don't expect to go to Aspen Dental in Gallatin and tell them what you want to pay for or have done. They won't give me a cleaning every six months because the hygienist recommended periodontal treatment to the tune of $227 every three months. I am retired on limited income and can't afford it. I paid for one treatment hoping I could resume the regular every six months cleanings that my dentist in Idaho recommended and monitored. My regular cleanings at that dentist were more thorough than the so-called perio treatment I received at Aspen. I called and told them that I only want my regular cleanings every six months and I was told the hygienist won't do it if she has recommended periodontal treatment. What a bunch of bull. What happened to businesses that give you the product you ask for? Now I guess I can either just let my teeth rot, or fork out more money to start over with another dentist. Thanks, Aspen. This place is a joke!! First, the finance lady and I worked out a treatment plan and I financed $700 of it, and I also have dental insurance. It all worked out to me supposedly having a $117 credit. Nope, disappeared. So I say, let's take care of a couple of these cavities, and they say no, you have to have this special cleaning first that costs $142! Well it wouldn't have been so bad if I had that $117 credit still that magically disappeared. And then today, I receive a $24 bill. For what???? I am tired of dealing with these people. I was in there just the other day when they wanted me to pay $142 for a periodontal maintenance cleaning and they told me the services I had received 6 months earlier had finally been paid in full. So where is this $24 coming from? Do not be fooled by these con artists. They will lie through their teeth (pun intended) to get you in the door and rack up charges. Save yourself the grief. Oh, and another little gem, I talked to my insurance company, and though she was probably not supposed to say this, the rep told me they have been receiving complaint after complaint about Aspen Dental. ALL locations. They must take a class on how to con people out of their money. Ridiculous. And my mouth still hurts after they extracted 2 of my molars 6 MONTHS AGO! read more
