Thankful, is how I feel after seeing Dr. Vu Tran today. I previously had seen two other dentists in other offices who couldn't figure out the source of my dental pain nor resolved it. Dr. Tran was friendly, knowledgeable, and took his time with me in figuring out what could be the cause of this unknown, on and off pain on one of my molars. He sat down, and explained in detail my x-rays and the iTero scan that was taken, you can quickly see how passionate and educated he is! He will take the time to explain everything in detail. Luckily for me, it was a bite issue which he resolved. The whole staff was very attentive and helpful. The minute I walked in they all had a smile on their face, even though it was a Saturday morning. Jackie was the dental assistant who took my x-rays and itero scan, she was very professional & had a good chair side manner. The office is very spacious, clean and has a warm welcoming feeling, they currently have all fall fun decorations. I was impressed by the team work relationship they have. I highly recommend Dr. Vu Tran & his staff to anyone looking for a honest and great dentist. I will certainly recommend him to my friends and family! read more

I was extremely nervous when I arrived. The staff was welcoming and well trained for their respective positions. I met with Dr Tran as well as the prosthodontist, who.was very reassuring as well that my new "smile" would be exactly what I want and he would make that happen. My appointment was for multiple Extractions and implants. Care has been excellent. Dr Tran and his assistant worked seamlessly together to provide a professional,comfortable and reassuring experience. Because of the healing process I have a few months to go. During this period any adjustments required, due to the decrease of gum swelling, have been promptly addressed and any discomfort restored. I was advised to return anytime if needed before my next appointment. I highly recommend this particular practice. read more

I had an appointment for X-rays and consultation to get dentures. Front desk service was efficient, professional and pleasant. X-ray tech was also quick and proficient. When I was brought back to the exam room though, I noticed that the room was quite dirty. I waited alone in the room for less than 5 minutes and noticed more grunge, shmutz and grime than I was comfortable with. Worse, everyone working there was perfectly comfortable with the level of dirt. Not me. Best of luck to anyone going there. read more

Omg after reading the reviews I'm very scared surgeon Has removed my teeth now I'm getting implants, I have temporary dentures which cannot wear the bottoms at all and the top ones are so very fake and uncomfortable I'm withholding review because I may be very happy with my implants, it's been five months I go back at the end of January. The office staff (Erica) at Aspen Dental on Cortez Rd Bradenton are complete scammers! Approached me about having a tooth implant. Stated that they would do half the procedure at the end of one calendar year and the rest of the procedure at the beginning of the next calendar year and it would only cost a few hundred dollars. After lying to me for a year after I kept getting billed thousands of dollars, I learned that there is a time limit on getting an implant after having a tooth pulled. I didn't need the implant, it was a very back tooth that had been extracted and I was functioning fine and didn't need to be financially raped. Learn from my experience and if Erica is still managing that location RUN!! read more

So...the office staff doesn't even deserve a star review but again forced to mark a box... This is not the first review I've written on ASPEN. But this one is shocking and disappointing. Since COVID, this office and their attentiveness has most certainly changed, I suspect the takeover of their computer systems didn't help matters. I've have been attempting to get pre-authorization to complete my dental work (since May 2023), I've made so many phone calls to check on it, after contacting my insurance, who has not received one of them, and I get nothing but excuses, the most important one in that they can only submit electronically. After the last contact with the insurance company, I discovered that this was in fact not the case and a snail mail paper copy could be sent. I immediately sent an email, which I kept a copy of and requested that I be contact once submitted and yet again nothing. I've been extremely tolerant of the lack of customer service, however, my patience has run out. I love Dr. Tran and would really appreciate him completing the work, but I've been left hanging. I will be going to the office this week to request the paperwork so I can get the necessary procedures done hopefully before I pass. read more

I am saddened and frankly bewildered by the amount of 1 star reviews! I have been going to this office for a LONG time, perhaps as many as 15 years and in that time I have received nothing but exemplary care! I have seen staff come and go over the years. and I know all the current staff and most greet me by name when I go in. Dr. Tran is about the best you can get in his field, IMHO. He is so skilled and knowledgeable AND he generously shares that knowledge with the rest of his staff which improves the quality of care that they provide. Prices are, even with insurance, pretty high, but I believe prices at all providers has jumped in recent times, so not exclusive to this office. I highly recommend this office! Carl D. read more

Horrible! Complete lack of professionalism. I was there for two hours for a simple checkup. They discuss Financials in open office in front of everyone. Attitude is Horrible and on top of everything they wanted $2500 for a cleaning!!!! AND THEY WENT AND APPLIED FOR A CARE CREDIT LOAN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, Knowledge or Approval after they lied to me on phone saying that they have payment plans. I called as a new patient. I have good dental insurance. They cover full X-ray once a year. My last dentist did full X-ray 8 months ago. I told them that and I wanted a teeth cleaning. I chose aspen dental to handle my dental care for my cleanings and eventual cosmetic dental work. I was sold on the quality and value of the service when I decided to use them. What I received was an inexperienced Rude staff that often left me sitting in the chair for hours waiting. Often my numbing would ware off and have to be administered. Appointments where constantly being rescheduled. I would have to see a new dentist or other staff. I trusted the dentist as far as his professional opinion. I was told that the zirconia crowns where extremely hard and wouldn't break. Well they did! After visiting another dentist and finding out they didn't do a bridge correctly which caused the failure I went back thinking they would correct there mistake. They would not help me. I spent $18000 originally and now have to spend another $6000 to get part of there work done correctly. Please save yourself the headaches and pain and go see another dentist!! read more

I took the day off work to finish off my 2 crowns on Cortez in Bradenton. Arrived for my appointment to be told they were closed, "computer issues". Nobody even called me. They said they couldn't call because of "computer issues" and their phone system was down... then the girl's cell phone rang. If I show up for an appointment and your dentist office is closed and I wasn't contacted, I don't care how we arrived to that point -- it means you are completely INCOMPETENT. In addition, beware that this place will oversell you. If you have an old crown, they will scare you into replacing it. You will be forced into a teeth cleaning upon any visit, and they will force overpriced mouthwash and overpriced toothpaste on you as well. Average cost for a root canal is under $1500, this place charges well over $2000. They might not be scam artists, but they certainly want their money and don't try their hardest. Yes, it was unfortunate that I took the day off of work and I wasn't contacted. It's also unfortunate that such incompetent work leads to a scathing review of your office. Everyone at Aspen is helpful and caring. Dr. Tram is the nicest dentist around. He makes you feel important and answers all questions and you never feel like you are being pushed out the door. The other dentists are also very nice. The dental assistants are kind and the staff is wonderful. Erica, the Finance Manager is very resourceful and does so much handling insurance needs. When appointments are set up, emails follow to remind you and also to answer any questions that may arise. The Best of the Best! read more

I wanted to share my extensive experience with the Bradenton office of Aspen Dental, most notably Dr. Tran. I've had dentures for more than a decade, with my initial set with implants from a private dentist in the Society Hill area of Philadelphia. Needless to say, I paid a great deal for that first "set." While my dentures stood me in decent stead for about a decade, the time came to replace them and to deal with some issues that had arisen with my implants. From the first appointment with Dr. Tran, to the very last of many, I was impressed with many things, not the least of which was the entire team's obvious goal and desire to give me a new smile, and one that actually works for its intended purpose - to masticate in a way that as closely as possible resembles a natural set of teeth. They succeeded. At the initial exam, Dr. Tran examined me and prepared an extraordinarily detailed treatment plan, a stepped process begun in January and completed in November. Dr. Tran's plan (and the amazing results) in contrast to my first experience with the denture process was so precise and detailed that I quickly recognized my earlier experience and the product I received was subpar, overpriced and without any regard for my wishes, desires and needs. Dr. Tran's chairside manner is respectful, kind, caring and attentive, and his entire staff, whom I came to know over the long process reflects his patient demeanor and professional goals. The office is truly a team effort, with the patient's well-being, satisfaction and health always at the forefront in as pain-free a way as possible. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing dentures, implants, or just a fantastic deep cleaning or routine dental work, or a dental team that actually endeavors to understand the patient and his/her needs. They do it all, including oral surgery, and have their own dental lab inhouse with years of prosthodontal experience behind them. And, Aspen's pricing is fair, discounted for those who are self-pay, and transparent all along the way. With problem teeth all my life, I've seen a multitude of dentists in all areas of the country. Stephanie who told me I have NO idea where you're getting this Aspen pricing info & it's in the same place where she responded to my review so quickly. When I'm viewing incorrect pricing online, it doesn't matter if it's incorrect, but when a review is left they're quick to find it & acknowledge they know this location does in fact exist. I did as suggested & spoke to someone higher up... THAT person seemed warm & understanding (at first) she said I'd feel the same way you do, then asked to add the office staff person to our convo. She put me on hold a very long time (then I figured out she's not just adding her, they're privately chatting first)... Stephanie got on the phone & said there's nothing we can do for you. & The higher up lady was as silent as a mouse. End of that call. Days later I got a big envelope in the mail explaining they're informing me they won't allow me in any of their offices again. You're getting the long story short version. Bottom line, my experience was I had an opinion & expected honesty & integrity from them. Beware when prices offered change & they just tell you this is what it is... Pay or don't pay. Rather than to simply show the correct prices to EVERYONE & if there are cash prices, to state this clearly online & in their office. I can't believe this all began with informing me over the phone, I'll get a great extra discount for paying cash. .... & I go in & the online prices were different than the offices pricing. I was charged $3000 + to remove 2 teeth and a cleaning. Teeth were not cleaned and they cracked a tooth completely in half while removing my wisdom tooth. Have not been able to chew on my right side since. Also was required to use their credit service and ended up paying an extra $1350. Taking advantage of people is not ok. Do better. read more

Do not come here if you value your time/ have work or other engagements after. They legit just took whoever they wanted first as indicated by the "hmm who do we take first" despite having an appointment for their OPENING time, 8 am... Uh maybe start with the first scheduled appointment??? Mind you, it took them until 20 minutes AFTER our appointment time to even start checking folks in. 4 people walked in after us...5 were taken before us, despite our 8am appt...So at 8:45, we got up and just left. What is the purpose of making an appointment if you dont take people in order? I feel like it was a bit ageist, as we are young & the elderly people who were huffing and puffing to get taken were ushered immediately. I may be passive and non-confrontational, but I wont have my money go to this business. Ive never walked out of an appointment before today but we didn't want to risk having to come back to this facility for a check-up and decided to take business elsewhere entirely. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY!!!! This is big business scamming people! I have had the same dentist for a few years but we moved to Bradenton and I wanted to get a new dentist that was closer and my insurance would accept so I went with Aspen Dental as they say they do everything in one bldg. and it was close. My old dentist would have the hygenist polish, floss, and scrape my teeth, sometimes they would say there was a little calcification and had to scrap a little more but always it was my $15 copay. I go to my first visit with Aspen and they say I need a 'descaling' well my old dentist never said anything about this but maybe I need it so I agree to the $370 for the process. When I go in to the appt, guess what? It's just a regular cleaning! After looking at the breakdown of prices I was charged $80 (that ins. didn't cover) for scraping my teeth for maybe 8 minutes, charged $17 PER QUADRANT for "gingival irrigation" WHICH MEANS THEY SPRAYED WATER IN MY MOUTH FOR $68!!!! Charged $33 for toothpaste and $35 for fluoride rinse, so $68 for fluoride?!?! I thought this was going to be some extreme procedure to "remove infection from the jaw bone" (was how they put it, but no, maybe 8 minutes of scraping was it) Then when I was told I had to schedule a follow up appt in 4 months to check the 'healing' from my procedure, to which I said "that had better be covered in the $370 I already paid!" No, it was another charge, so I said "NO!" I will only be scheduling a cleaning from now on because that was NOT worth $370 and would have been $15 at my last dentist, Josh the front mgr said "Well I can't schedule you for any other appt's until you completed the Dentist's treatment plan." Are you kidding me?!?! So I am stripped of my patient rights to refuse treatment?! I am running from this con job of a company as fast as possible and if I have to drive half and hour to my old dentist I WILL!!!!!! I fine since I've been going there the last couple years they continuously add requirements for additional services that I don't want even to the level of my health protection. I was told today was against the law for a dentist to review me without x-rays. I don't believe that's true. I believe they are simply a machine trying to gouge customers I even told him I refused to go through TSA anymore and had an option. I simply wanted a cleaning. They brought three people in to tell me I had to have x-rays and so I'm no longer a customer. read more

I had seen this dentist in the last 6 months and when I had a problem, it took a week to get an appointment and then I get up there and they tell me that no one could take of my chipped tooth on the visit because I had to be evaluated first. What is the point of having a regular dentist if they are not going to take care of your dental issues in a timely manner? This is not a dental practice you can count on. read more

This was the worst experience of my life the office manager on duty must be fired. The professionalism that was displayed was unacceptable for any business that has a client's reputation in its hands. I was embarrassed and kicked out without satisfactory services rendered. They do not respect patients time. I was schedule to come to this location but they cancelled my appointment due to "short staff at another location". Just to schedule another time @7:30 I showed up before my time, mind you they did call me to confirm my appointment the day before ,but did not bother to tell me me no one would be there till 8:00 am. I tried to explain to Dr Tran how inconvenient and unprofessional it is to waste peoples time but he seemed to get offended by what i was saying. I asked front desk lady to have her manager call me. No one called ... i called twice to ask for manager but she seems to be too busy to deal with complaints. My spouse also had to wait such a long time when she was schedule and it is very frustrating to go there. Save yourself some aggravation. From day one I was suspicion about this practice. They kept me waiting for a long time and when they finally got around to seeing me, it was very short They did the X rays and after that I met with Dr Tran briefly They insisted on doing a cleaning when I did not want it done! I needed front dentures and was told that they could make them in house and that I would have them in four weeks The tech that did my X-rays was struggling to get it right I should have known better that was a bad sign Had I known that they were going to send out dentures, I would have declined there work I got a call four weeks later and was told that my denture could not be made They said they couldn't read the X rays from there office They wanted me to come back in to redo my x rays I refused and told them I want my money back This office is a mess. Dr Tran is concerned only about making money not concerned about the patient The office manager was extremely rude too! If you can avoid this office at all costs ,I would! I don't normally do Yelp reviews and I absolutely hate going to the dentist as do most people but this experience is definitely worthy of a review. I can not say enough about the staff at this Cortez location. From the front desk to the ladies that help you with financing, all of the dental hygienist in the back and the dentist himself they truly go above and beyond to help you and make you feel completely at ease. I had a lot of work to be done and they fit me in anywhere they could to make sure my teeth were fixed before Christmas. Thank you so much for everything you and your staff have done for me. You have a great group of people and I'm looking forward to my appointment on Monday to get my new teeth!! read more

Please get a price before you get any work done including basic cleaning and X-rays. I just left there after seeing there specials online and when I checked out they tried to charge me 411.00 for cleaning and X-ray only. They do not want to honor online prices. It was a very unprofessional experience all the way around from the long wait to be seen to the embarrassment they caused me upon check out. After arguing they agreed to 129.00 but I had to argue and it should not have been that way. read more

This dentist is the worst. The staff was very nice but when i went for my appointment that i made a week before i was not seen until an hour after it.. Then once i was brought back there i spent an hour and a half in the chair just waiting to be seen. Finally the dentist came and did a hasty look over of my teeth, tried selling me whitening products, then disappeared before i could ask any questions. I was then sent to the billing office where we discussed a payment plan for a 2500$ bill!!!! My insurance paied for 2,000 but i was expected to pay the rest if i wanted to get my cavities filled. They would not allow me to have the remineralizing toothpaste that the dr perscribe me until i started making payments. I asked if i could pay for the toothpaste only then apply for a credit check to qualify for the payment plan? They said no and sent me off promising to send me something in the mail to let me know if i qualify for the payment plan. 2 months later i finally recieved a letter from them stating that i did not qualify for the plan and if i wanted to recieve care for the multiple fillings i needed then i would have to pay out of pocket.. Went to this dental office for a cleaning only. I gave it a 2 but only because the receptionist and one other person were friendly. Then after all their (you have to dos) they said we would have to come back another day for the cleaning. I don't have any thing else to say w/I getting belligerent.
