Unfortunately I had made a reservation for a 90 minute reflexology however when I got there they didn't even know what I was talking about and even though I tried to tell them that three or four times I ended up face down on the table naked for a regular massage. No arguing with someone who doesn't speak English. That's the minus one star. Massage quality was great. She really got the muscles. WOW. What a waste of time! Horrible service. We called ahead of time to see if anyone is available for massage and if they could do prenatal massage. The man on the phone seemed to be confused. After confirming that we can get a deep tissue massage for 30 minutes because we had to clarify since his English was not the best. We asked when we could come in and he said it was up to us. So we said we will come there now. Got there the lady kept asking if I have an appointment. She was texting and calling other people since she didn't understand. She put me in a room as I'm taking off my shoes she opens the door and tells me I need appointment! I called the same person my husband talked to and he made it seem like there was a misunderstanding when I was there with him while on the phone with this man. Don't waste your time. It's $50 for 30 minutes and the massage tables and clothes look really cheap. And if you can't communicate there's no way you will leave there feeling less pain. read more

As others report, it's not fancy at all in a strip shopping center & looks a bit scraggly. I arrived & 2 of the 3 rooms were occupied with massages in progress. I onlynwaitedca few minutes. My massage was very nice. I paid $99 for a 90minute massage with a credit card & decided to tip her in cash so it's unreported & tipped her $15 (15%). Rather than saying "thank you" she turned over her palm where she had written 20. I was a bit stunned. She then said 20%. It's quite a brazen assumption that everyone can afford a 20% tip & confront a patron upon this assumption. Wait...it gets better! I use the restroom....as I leave I say "Thank you. Have a great day!" And she scrunches up her face and gives me a sad pout. WHAT?? I don't think 15% is horrible?! Now...the good news: I called the owner tonight & told him about my encounter. He was stunned & horrified his staff would barter with a customer. He apologized profusely & advised he wanted to make it up to me with a gift certificate. But, he also said itvwas totally unacceptable & not the norm and he'd take care of this first thing tomorrow. He turned my 2 star review to a 4 star in handling this issue. So... Very good massage. I had the 60 minute Swedish and 30 min foot massages. I enjoyed them both. Obviously this wasn't a spa experience but the room was clean and I was overall happy with my service. However the lady made sure to tell me that I needed to tip 20% and not 15%. Didn't appreciate that very much. Also, as others said, my lady left the room often and the door would be open, no one else was ever in the building that I was aware of (the whole town was pretty dead) but not the best etiquette. read more

I am a bit of a connoisseur if Chinese massages. In California, you can find a quality massage at a clean establishment for $30 an hour. There's the context. That said, I went in with an open mind. My husband and I got a couples massage. I usually take strong pressure and asked for it. She did not hesitate. The pressure was very strong all the way. In fact, I counted four bruises the next day. That is not the reason for three stars. I could have told her to reduce the pressure. The three stars - My masseuse literally gave me a wedgy for a period of it. The tug was forceful and I believe it was intentional. The draping of the sheet was not sufficient to conceal my lower half and when other customers walked in, the door was left open (it's a small place and we were in a room near the entrance) while they scheduled. The place leaves something to be desire if you're looking for comfortable. The room is freezing cold and there is only a thin sheet. Not relaxing. My husband really enjoyed his experience and so I am giving it three stars. I wouldn't come back. read more

As is typical at this kind of massage, expect the therapist to climb onto the table to work with her elbows and forearms. I was sore the following day but that's what I was there for...to work out those knots. The overall experience was poor. I've been getting professional massages for 20 years, so I'm not just blowing smoke on this place. The "spa" is located on US1 in a strip mall - nothing fancy whatsoever. Upon walking in the door to an empty room with only two chairs and a nonfunctioning table water fountain, chimes clank against the door, notifying the masseuse there is a customer entering. Well, the doors to both massage rooms were open enough for me to see the other clients on their massage tables. My appointment was for 4:00, at about 4:05 they put in my room and asked if I minded waiting a bit so the masseuse could eat. I reluctantly agreed, but I was here so ... I got on the table face down as instructed and waited, staring at the dirty floor until 4:25. No rugs, nothing on the walls, no candles, nice scents, the vents were scotch-taped to the walls. I had to ask for music before she left the room to eat. Although the massage was hard and direct (the oil/lotions used were generic and sparse), she must have sighed and waved herself of heat at least four times, further stating "You like it like man." Really? While performing the service Jessica apologized again and said she'd comp the hour to a 45 minute massage charge due to making me wait so long. Well this was not the case. When I went to pay she said it was the normal $70 for the hour and charged me $2 to put it on my debit card. Even worse and most offensive and unprofessional, Jessica complained about the 10% tip I gave her (which was more than generous for the experience, and not necessary according to the Book of Etiquette). She looked at the money and asked if the tip was for an hour massage, which I replied it was. Jessica continued to state that it is usually $20 (or 30%). How tacky and rude! Wish there were other customers waiting so they could see this woman shame a customer into tipping more (and we all know the Asians don't ever tip at all!). At that point I walked out knowing I'd never return. read more

I arrived on vacation completely stressed out and in need of a massage. I have used someone else in Marathon, but knew she would be closed on a Sunday. I walked in to Asian Massage and was greeted by Sue who stated that she could see me immediately. As a career dental hygienist, I have needed professional massages on a regular basis for many years due to extremely tight muscles and pain from my job. Sue was amazing and worked very hard. As the end of the hour was approaching, she offered to work another half hour to get all the knots out. This massage was by far the best massage I have ever had! The place is in a strip plaza and isn't much to look at, but Sue really knows what she is doing! Sadly I will not be able to get in to see her before we head home as she is taking a much deserved vacation herself this week. I highly recommend her and will plan to see her again next time I visit the Keys. read more
