I am so happy that this place is here! After living in Denmark for the past 7 years, I was really missing an affordable one-stop shop for all my Korean ingredients and products. I grew up in Southern California so I am used to a certain standard of availability and pricing with the likes of Arirang and Han Nam supermarkets.
My expectations were low here but they had everything I needed and at a familiar price. I got everything on my list; tofu, Nong Shim Black, Korean hot pepper flakes, Korean hot pepper paste, Korean seasoned laver, seaweed for sushi, and Assi brand low sodium soy sauce. I also ended up getting a Sac Sac orange drink and a 6-pack of Milkis for the nostalgia factor and a package of 4 different types of frozen dumplings. Next time I will probably get some Yuzu jelly and Indomie (although they only have mi goreng).
They don't have a lot of fresh produce here but you can get most of the common Asian vegetables from Meijer. I did spot a couple durians in the fridge but I didn't smell them. Surprisingly they have a little fresh fish on ice as well as a lot of frozen stuff. I was glad to see that they have at least 10 different brands of short grain rice and kimchi, although I prefer to make the latter myself. I highly recommend a trip here to anyone who likes to cook Korean food or maybe even someone who wants to try new things. read more
