There was no music because apparently their radio was broken. Given that when I book a massage, I am usually super looking forward to it, this was a disappointment.

Well, well, well... An authentic Thai massage in the heart of Dublin. This place was a great find…read morealthough not for the faint hearted or those after a 'pamper me' massage. This place is authentic, a basic bed (yes, it's blanketed/towelled up and the only thing that separates you from the next client is some heavy drapery. There is a few massage options, I went for thai oil massage, having had a thai massage in Thai I had insight so asked for medium pressure and my god, even at medium pressure the masseuses here work you hard. I had the full body massage (€50) and it was immense, every muscle/joint was worked on, she also pinpointed some knots in my back, I did know of them and that's what I started to take up regular massages and boy did she work them... It hurt at the time but man, I felt amazing the following day. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a truly authentic massage, a place where you will really be stretched out and provides more for your overall posture then a feel good pamper. They run offers, with things like bring a friend and get a discount, so instead of €100 for 2 of you, it's €80, etc. So be sure to check out there website.

They rang me 20 minutes before scheduled time to ask me to come in at 1.30 instead. No problemo, as I only live around the corner. There was no sign on the door, nor a housenumber, but according to instructions I had to find a black door, which I did (luckily there were not too many black doors in the street) and it just had a little note beside the doorbell saying: THAI MASSAGE. I walked up the steep stairs and found quite a nice space with some thai ladies hanging around on the sofa's. I was led into a teeny tiny dark and very comfy, warm room. When I was ready and laid on the massage table, one of the ladies came in and asked me if I was there for a strong deep tissue massage. 'Are you sure?' she asked...alarm bells started ringing after that question. I thought i was sure, but oh boy, before I knew it she had jumped on top of me, and...it felt like a ten ton truck was running over me. OUCH!!! I screamed a few times from discomfort. Luckily, after 5 minutes, she jumped back on the floor and the oil came out, and she proceeded to give me a lovely 40 minutes massage (strong, but bearable!) One star off, as my massage was meant to last one hour, but after 45 minutes it was over.
