The menu had a great variety to choose from & it was all cheap - lunch combo was $8.75 & dinner combo was $10.75! On the downside, drinks were pricey & there is limited dining space. I suspect most of their business is take out. There were 2 other people dining in when I was there. I ordered the sweet & sour chicken combo with fried rice, egg roll, egg drop soup, & a drink. I ordered the lunch combo of chicken wings with pork fried rice, a side of rib tips, and my son got chicken wings and French fries. The store seemed very much NY vibes. The guy at the counter seemed knowledgeable and was courteous. Now for the food, as a native New Yorker born and raised the food was as close as you can get. The fried rice had no onions or bean sprouts and I think I saw a tiny piece of egg. The chicken was good enough. The ribs were literally drowned in sauce. Ok so if you're an east coaster and used to good Chinese take out. Here is your spot. Let's start with its location, strip mall, semi sketchy area, definitely lock your doors kinda place. Walk in the floors are a little slick from the oil, different menus and specials taped to random surfaces. A cooler with an assortment of drinks with prices that make you think where did they get that from. You're in the right place. There are 2 tables I think, but I mean it's just for waiting lol if you know you know. The rice felt super old and hard, the wonton soup meat tasted like it went bad so we simply could not finish the food. We tossed two full plates and felt bad asking for a refund so left it alone. It was my first time trying these so it was different, but what made it bussing was the teriyaki sauce with the peanuts OMG!!! That sauce was great, I wanted some more for myself. The Spring Rolls were also good, just felt there could have been more filling in them. I was hitting a lot of air in them but overall I enjoyed my meal here. Dumpling filling was grainy, skins were tough, didn't finish eating these. The soup surprised me though, noodles were really chewy and broth was light but flavorful, very little chicken in here but good when you're not feeling well.
