Update 6/1 Ashley finally contacted me back and informed me of their mixup, and set a delivery date of 5/31. The drivers showed up with my headboard and dresser this time, but told me the loaders forgot to load the couch. Here I am again almost 3 months later with no couch. Do not buy from this company and if for some reason you do, do not buy the extended warranty! Last year I bought a reclining sofa, loveseat and chair from Ashley as well as an extended warranty. Less than a year later the mechanism carriage on my sofa is bent, causing the couch to become off balance when reclined and very uncomfortable to sit in. The couch is used by my 175 lb husband and 80 lb nine year old not a football team, so I was a little alarmed at the fact that it had bent in under a year. When I called and was finally able to get a hold of someone from the extended warranty company they told me to call Ashley because it was under a year. After finally getting a hold of someone in customer service (which took a week of calling) I was able to get a technician to come out and look at my sofa. When the technician arrived he informed me that the mechanism was bent. Not a problem a high quality company would surely stand behind their product and fix a couch where one of the major components bends in less than a year...NOPE. The technician informed me that the part is not under warranty. I would need to PURCHASE the part from Ashley. They do offer to have a technician come out and replace the part you purchased for free which I suppose is better than nothing but not really.This service is available anytime after your purchase 1 year or 10 years. Which brings me to my next point, the extended warranty. When we purchased it the sales associate told us it covered EVERYTHING, rips, stains, breakage, my dog destroying it EVERYTHING. Well it turns out that the extended warranty does not cover the mechanism bending. All of this leads me to believe that the mechanism bending must be a common thing because neither Ashley or their extended warranty company will stand behind this part. How is a piece of metal bending in under a year not covered under warranty? What other major components of your product do you not stand behind? I cannot support a company that does not stand behind what they sell. I will never purchase from this company again. read more

First off, there seem to be many very low reviews of this location. I personally did not encounter many of the experiences described, though they did Bill me TWICE! The delivery went without a hitch, on time, and with nothing damaged. I did receive a text message prior, as well as a follow-up call to see how everything went. The store is clean with a large selection and the salespeople weren't pushy. If anything, it seems as if they're listening to some of the criticism; or maybe we got lucky. read more

Worst customer service EVER!!! No one answers the phone at the Tacoma, WA store or their warehouse. You get transferred to their call center where they do not help you and the customer service person I talked to just laughed at me. They have no phone numbers for a Manager. I recently visited specifically for a table that I saw on the Ashley home store site. The Ashley home store site carries the exact same table. When I said the price was significantly different than the online site, that's when I found out that the two business under the same name are in fact not truly the same. They are independently owned and operated. I was then told..."don't worry about the price because we price match everyone, including the Ashley home store site, what do you want to pay, I'll ask my manager". I had seen a few sites for the same table online and told her I thought I'd seen it for around $319.00. The table in store was priced at $399.99. While she was gone, I looked up the sites and found it was actually $306.00, so when she came back, I told her I was mistaken and it was actually $306.00, she said her manager approved $319.99, but when I showed her the Amazon site at $306, she said "oh, we don't price match areas that are not local." Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but Amazon is from Seattle, Wa. I reminded her that she had said they price match everyone but apparently not "local" stores. Hmmm, none of the other online priced sites were local including the online Ashley homes store site, they are in fact in WI. I inquired what was the value proposition of me purchasing it from them? Did they have it assembled upon delivery or if I took the items with me, would they be assembled? No, they do not assemble unless they set it up for delivery and that's an extra $70.00 dollars. Amazon doesn't assemble it without a fee either but they will delivery to my door for free with my prime account and bring the boxes into my house for free. I asked her was the store and manager really going to let me walk out of the store and loose a sale over $13.99? The answer I received was ..."YES"! At that moment, I pushed the "purchase now" on my Amazon mobile site and with that, ALL SALES WERE FINAL AND THERE WERE NO FURTHER NEGOTIATIONS. And local consumers wonder why Amazon is a threat to their retail businesses. Duh! read more

8/25 - Received excellent customer service from Sara and purchased a new sectional. We communicated the importance of receiving our new couch BEFORE Oct14 due to our scheduled baby shower, which we have family flying in for. We were given separate dates for arrival of different pieces, with Oct02 being the latest arrival date for one of the pieces. Sara advised us to go with Oct02 to ensure all of the pieces would be under the same return policy - "with the date being so far out, it should get here by the 2nd (Oct). Definitely before the 14th (Oct). I've never seen it for more than 6 weeks out, unless something was really wrong. We'd let you though." 9/05 - 10 days after processing our order we went online to track it, but it kept saying no order was associated with the number. We called and were put on hold for about 40mins, then were informed that the number on file was incorrect. After it was corrected, we were told that we would not see the status of the order until it was shipped. 9/22 - 10 days out and still no status or emails regarding our order, but tons of spam email and junk mail since though. Worried at this point. I called customer service and it turns out 2 of the pieces were on back order, one would get here on Oct04 and the other Oct17. "No more than 6 weeks"... 10 weeks. We called for a cancellation and a refund and were asked to come in for "another selection maybe? we could probably get you one by the 2nd. It depends on what you select and if we have the pieces"...PLEASE PROCESS THE REFUND. Up to 7 days for $1,727.45 to go back on the card. We just wasted 4 weeks of sitting around with NO COMMUNICATION regarding the delayed delivery date. Now we have to couch hunt and hope we find one before 10/14. Don't oversell, make false statements, and please communicate - And please no scripted, cookie-cutter "response from the owner", but please take all these 1-Star reviews into consideration and do better. Checked out Ashley's Furniture to find a great selection of home furniture and was greeted upon entering the store. I was casually browsing with my fiancee and walked up the stairs to find 3 workers standing in the entry of the stairs just chit chatting for fun without noticing we were coming up. (Maybe they were on break?) After browsing on the main floor, we decided we wanted to purchase something in the showroom downstairs. We couldn't find anyone close within our radar for help so we walked to find some assistance. To our surprise, we walked towards another 3 workers sitting on the showroom couches chatting nonchalantly. We walked closer STRAIGHT AHEAD within a few feet from them while verbally asking for help but we felt completely mind boggled that no one got up and just stared at us until one finally got up to help us with our purchase. That person was helpful with our transaction and we ended up walking out with an Ashleys purchase. Love our purchase but the customer service in this store is nothing to rave about. Its not professional to be sitting around. We were unsure who we could even ask for help bc we didnt know if they were customers or workers. read more

Horrible experience!! Dont waste your time going to this place. We ordered a new mattress and box springs, new couch and love seat, and 2 bar stools the last week of January. We were told bar stools would be 2 weeks later than the rest of items which we were ok with. Furniture was supposed to be here on February 11th we didnt get it till the 18th. The stools were supposed to be here on the 22nd and then we get a call they wont be delivered till March 9th. Not playing games for 2 stools. I told the lady to cancel and refund money now here it is a week later and still no refund. I called again and now it's still being approved for a refund and wont be processed till Monday. What a joke. I will never go back to this company for anything. I hope they learn some customer service soon. Spending almost $6000 on furniture and waiting 2 months almost for it is bs. read more

This was my first time purchasing from Ashly furniture. At this point I am not impressed. I purchased 2 chairs on the Black Friday sale. After paying I was told I would receive call on when I could pick them up at their warehouse. Several days has gone by no call. I called the store several times after no one answers the phone. I end up driving to the store told them the situation about not receiving a call on my order. They could not tell me anything about my order. I read reviews and wasn't sure about this place- and really all furniture stores are relatively similiar to me. What really made the experience for me was the experience I had with two associates- Ashton and Chris. They actually took the time to get to know me- and talked me through everything. There was no press from either of them for me to buy anything- they just made it a fact to get to know what I was looking for and show me what was available. Delivery- The delivery went as a delivery should go. The moving folks set everything up- and I live on the 8th floor! Easy day all around. Overall experience was great- I do know that not all associates are created equally- but if you run into Ashton or Chris they'll be able to get you taken care of- definitely feel like I had the two best sales folks there! Gave it a 4 because while the financing was easy enough to get settled on- the military financing that I set up was something that I had to do on my own. For the sake of the military folks coming in there- would be better to go ahead and have it all be able to set up there- just make it a convenient one stop shop particularly for those young soldiers who are just getting into furniture buying. I'd recommend the furniture to anyone I know- will update if there's any issues down the line. read more

I'm only giving this company 2 stars because the customer service I received from one of there associates "Carmine Carrado" was great I came in back in June well June 2nd to be exact and was looking for a sofa for my new place. He immediately stepped in to help me until I found one I loved. Although I found one I loved he assured me it would take a few weeks because the item was back ordered I understood and we went fourth with this process. Although I was told to check in within the time frame because that could change. Fast forward a month later I called customer care to get an update on my order they told me it would be here july 23 Okay so I call on July 24 because no one called me they told me it would be delivered on august 11 so I call back again on august 12 and now they are telling me September 4th. Like everytime I call it's a different date with these people. I paid over $1000 for this couch I wanted and I have yet to receive what I paid for. That's very unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone not even my family to do business with this company. They are telling there paying customers false stories just to make a quick buck off of you. Then when you ask to speak to someone higher up "supervisor" they tell you that they are all on call backs but they never call. Like what is the point when they don't do anything to help you in the situation besides gladly take your hard earned money. This is out of hand and I plan to email Todd R. Terrible communication. I have been waiting for my furniture since October and have been rescheduled six times. However; I wouldn't have known there was a delay in the first place because nobody contacts me in regards to this. To get any information I have to call in myself. After numerous calls in, I finally confirmed it would be coming this weekend, only to hang up with the store associate & immediately get a call from a customer service in Arizona telling me that it is delayed yet again - now looking at a date in February. I can understand there are delays, but SIX reschedules and FOUR months with no communication unless I reach out myself is ridiculous. In store experience was great but after purchasing everything goes downhill. I've furnished my whole home with Ashley Furniture and never had an experience like this. Our experience at this furniture and home goods store was one of the worst we've had in the last 42 years of furnishing our home. We initially bought about $9,500 worth of a living room set, a King bedroom set and a Full-size bedroom set. Apparently there's no coordination between the sales ordering system at the store and the warehouse inventory and delivery system because every delivery was either short of some critical parts/pieces, or broken parts, or parts that we hadn't even ordered. The delivery people were mostly immigrants from central american countries and often spoke only broken english which made it very difficult to communicate and compare our sales invoice copy with their warehouse delivery documents. After 6 weeks of going back and forth with the store manager and the sales person, we just threw up our hands and ended up returning everything except the living room set. Getting our refund was another huge issue and we ended up having lost money on approx $325 of delivery charges that we had paid upfront. The only person who helped us sort things out and get our refund was Patti Ford. Also, calling the store never worked out because we were invariably put on hold and disconnected or got evasive answers from the sales person. So we had to drive 40 miles both ways about 7 times over the 6 weeks of hell so as to get our frustrations and issues on the table. Three out of the 7 times we saw and heard other customers in the same situation as ourselves complaining loudly and banging the counters. Don't ever buy anything from the Tacoma store! read more

Very unhappy with service. Our dinning room table was shipped without the legs. I asked if I can return the table without the legs and have a complete set sent out. I was informed that once you receive an item it cannot be returned. We now have to wait for 7-10 days for the legs to arrive. There is also a delay now in the other furniture we ordered that we were told would arrive on January 4th. The delay now is it won't be shipped out until the 6th of January. When you try to call the store, no one picks up and after a 50 minute wait, my call was routed to the warranty department and I was told to call back. After another 60 minute wait this time, my call was routed to customer service. I was then told that calls get routed to them because the Tacoma store never picks up their calls, they are very busy and very hard to get a hold of. read more

We purchased a couch and recliner. They are poorly made and very uncomfortable. We have tried contacting customer service and they refer us back to the store. No one answers the phone there either. When we went to the store, the manager was very condescending. She kept repeating that she was sorry and we would need to take the recliner to the warehouse to have the tech check it. We are about to move into our new home and set our looking for a new kitchen table and living room couch set. We came to ashley first because we had a few people tell us they had a good experience and prices were very reasonable. We walked in and was greeted by Rich, super nice and very helpful, didn't pressure us into anything and let us walk around without butting in like most sales people do which was nice. We went with a couch set by Urbanology and couldn't be more happy with finding exactly what we were looking for! And found a kitchen table that matched perfectly. They have us an awesome discount that they are currently offering so we saved on everything we bought! I wish they had more options for kitchen tables with the more rustic look but we found one that we really liked. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone looking! read more

Today, I purchased two couches for $2700. After getting their credit card to finance this, I signed and drove an hour home. They were not flexible at all with their delivery times so I had to coordinate time off of work to meet the driver two weeks in the future. After I was home, they called me and told me that they need me to drive an hour back to the store to give them an additional signature in order to proceed with this purchase. This is a completely ridiculous request. I asked if I could at least get the delivery fee waived considering I had already taken time off of work to meet THEIR inflexible schedule and they are forcing me to drive 2 hours round trip due to their mistake. They would only offer $50 if in store credit that I could use on a FUTURE order. These people are completely worthless. I canceled the order and will never enter their store again. read more

I bought a TV stand on Black Friday and got a good deal. It was delivered two weeks later as promised. I was happy with the delivery service since they were polite and professional. Sadly the piece had some scratches so I asked for a replacement. This is the only reason I give them four stars instead of five. They let me keep the piece while the other one arrived. I waited less than two weeks for the new one and it was perfect. I'm really satisfied with the service and quality. read more

So got my dining table delivered in February came with all 3 legs damaged so waiting for a new table to come . My ends table paid in full with my cocktail table paying $633 total . I can pick up 2 end tables this Saturday but my cocktail won't come until May. Nobody in store or over the phone told us this is normal service. When I complained to a person over the phone she said this is how they do business take your money and no item. That seems like fraud to me. I'll be calling the BBB about this. read more

Ashley Furniture is a bottom of the barrel a** furniture store. I ordered furniture from them last year in May/June. Unfortunately, I was in a car accident a few weeks later & recovering in the hospital out of state. My apartment complex left a note on my door for Ashley Furniture to stop by the leasing office so they can unlock my apartment to deliver my furniture. I just so happened to get back from the hospital the same day as my delivery & while I was in the office getting my keys, Ashley Furniture starts delivering my furniture to the leasing office. I explained that it's my furniture & asked if they could please bring it to my apartment & not leave it in the leasing office as I have a broken neck, arm, etc & can barely walk let alone take the furniture to my apartment where it SHOULD HAVE been delivered. The Ashley Furniture delivery driver looked me in my face, ignored me, & walked away leaving all of my furniture in the leasing office. Now this past March of 2021 I made the horrible mistake of trying to give Ashley Furniture another chance. I ordered 2 beds & a couch which were supposed to be delivered in March. The delivery was late & we only received SOME of our order, along with additional furniture that we did not order. They half built both beds as one was missing the rolling slats & the other was delivered with the incorrect pieces. We are STILL waiting on the correct pieces and it's been MONTHS!! I was told that employee's at Ashley Furniture have touched my claim over FOUR times & intentionally chose to not work on it or move it to the next steps. They've scheduled multiple deliveries & never showed up, they have scheduled deliveries without my knowledge for days that I'm out of town. They have told me they will reschedule me for a specific day then blow me off & when I call I'm told there's no record of rescheduling my delivery. Just last week they told me they were trying to deliver my furniture to my daughter in Everett an hour away. I don't have a daughter & I live in a completely different county so I'm trying to understand how do they completely f*ck up someone's order so bad?!?! Then when they FINALLY make a redelivery THREE MONTHS later, it was still the wrong pieces!!! So here I am 3 mothaf*cken months later sharing a bed with my roommate because Ashley Furniture doesn't know wtf they are doing. I've spoken with Brittany, Mackenzie, Rae, Chris, Arita, Elizabeth, someone with the last name of Ashland, & many others. All who have told me there's nothing they can do & have not taking me seriously. Ashley Furniture has over promised & underdelivered. They dont care about their customers as long as they get their money. This has been a scam & I'm beyond disgusted with the way Ashley Furniture has treated me and handled this situation. I purchased a sofa in Ashley HomeStore in Tacoma in mid-May. My sofa was supposed to be available to pickup on June 13th. It is 29 June as of today. I had not received one phone call or email regarding my order. The store had been calling a number that was not mine, which is at no fault of any customer who provides a proper number. My order is not available until 7 August. If I had known it would have taken this long, I would have purchased somewhere else. Just because of personal preference. I did ask to be compensated, I was offered 1/2 off for delivery and $100 gift card to a future purchase. It makes no sense, if that gift card was applied to the delivery, it would be mostly a free delivery. I ask if it could be switched. Ashley insisted no for no actual reason. I declined both as I do not wish to make other purchases through this store. I understand the difficulties with the pandemic, but I will add, Ashley HomeStore remained open even during stay-at-home orders. Ashley HomeStore also does not enforce the wearing of masks. It's meant for safety of others, regardless of whichever political ideology one has. I am disappointed yes, but I should have taken the advise of other reviews: shop elsewhere. read more

Ashley posted in Yelp a response to our first bad review that makes no sense as they have my name, store location and store salesperson listed in the review. They claim they cannot find my order to address the problems mentioned??? Ashley customer service could not be any worse. Our first delivery arrived days late with a defective bed frame. They promised us a replacement frame to be delivered with the second half of our order. The second delivery just like the first one has now been rescheduled by Ashley. I even had the Tacoma store manager get involved and she was not able to help. The pricing of their furniture is fair and in-store service is good. Just don't expect your order to be delivered when they promise. It will likely not happen and dealing with their customer service has been a nightmare and waste of time. The kids mattresses are still on our floor and we still have no bed delivered after a month of waiting. We spent over $4000 at Ashely and need to purchase another set of furniture. Ashley damaged the couch I ordered and my home at the time of delivery. It has been six months and they refuse to approve an exchange or refund. My floors are still damaged and no one is doing anything to help me. No one at this company cares. Avoid sitting on hold for hours and getting nowhere. You can easily file your case in small claims court for less than $50 and claim this filing fee on top of whatever Ashley owes you. read more

Don't take your service here. They will tell ya everything's covered and sell you on a pos service plan that covers fabric. Call the store cause i have had it less than a year. And they won't cover it because i moved. I have everything that was given to me in store and not one thing on here says any of that. I call customer service and she says because i moved they won't cover. The sales associate new it was my first time buying new furniture and he took advantage of it just to meet his quota. Don't waste your time or money. Customer service is awful. For the amount of money you are spending you should be getting quality stuff with exceptional customer service, not with Ashley. Plus picking our stuff up from the warehouse took over 2 hours with an appointment because they were "new" which in fact they said they have been there for almost a year... There is a huge forklift hole in the back of our couch that was covered up and trying to get in touch with customer service was impossible. I was put on hold 3 different times in one day for over an hour. All I have done is wasted my hard working money and time that I can't get back. read more

This is not directed at any specific Ashley Homestore but the company as a whole. I'm so done with this furniture store. I bought a recliner from them the other day and chose to drive to the warehouse to pick it up, instead of paying extra for delivery. I was given a piece of paper with three numbers on it because you have to call and make an appointment to pick your furniture up. None of the numbers work. One just rings for five minutes until it hangs up on you. Another just goes straight to a busy signal. The last number I tried goes straight to a voicemail. It sounds like a personal voicemail too and not a warehouse. This is so unprofessional and really frustrating. Good luck trying to get through to them on the customer service line or even the online messenger. When I finally got through to someone, I was explaining that I needed assistance but Instead of hearing a voice. It immediately went to the survey at the end of the call. I gave them a big fat zero. I will never buy furniture from them again! I will gladly pay more elsewhere. Update: When I was finally able to get through to an actual person. We bought a couple pieces of furniture, so far, so good, waiting on one to be delivered in a few weeks. Prices were fair. The sales people greeted us, then left us alone, which was fine. While there, we searched their website and found cheaper prices, so they matched it. My only suggestions, if they are not doing so already is to take turns or pass off customers, the person who helped us was really busy, while others were just standing around. read more

Poor service. If you don't add the furniture warranty within 5 days you can't have things replaced. What crap. It's like buying a car and your warranty goes out- sorry your out $60k. Buyers beware or get the insurance. My dog accidentally nested in my couch and instead of being honest they were like lie to the company and say your keys did it. So you can't be honest with them! HORRIBLE!!!! I told them I was going to pay upfront and come and drop it off at the front door. She told me it would hit my credit. No, it wouldn't because it's paid up to date. Also the guy said they don't remove old furniture. They will bring new furniture but not remove the old stuff. Sure spend money but spend more money to have your old stuff replaced. Nice try Ashley.
