Seriously reconsider shopping at this store!! In March 2019,We shopped here and bought several "thousand dollars"worth of furniture from here for our new home, Sales people were great, very friendly and helpful and we didn't feel we were being taken advantage of at all. But the Customer Service Dept.. OMG, After everything was purchased, went back to get a small dresser for our daughters room the thing might've cost $300+ I forgot, when it was delivered, it had so much damage(paint was peeling off from bottom of drawer, drawers were uneven and the framing to the bottom of dresser was cracked which is probably why the drawers were uneven) When I contacted them after receiving delivery they said it would be taken care of. After being passed around on the phone speaking to several people, told to send pictures to several people via email, promises that managers would call back that never happened we havent received any correction to the problem.. After spending thousands of dollars they lost my business over a $300 dresser that could've been corrected the day after it was delivered.. Very disappointed in this place.. I have purchased in the past here, didn't have a problem but I guess things change.. ****UPDATE***** Very impressed and much appreciated. After all the problems I had and after writing an honest review I was contacted by, I guess it might've been Ashley furniture Corporate office. They were aware of the situation I had and they made it right. I did receive a new dresser and they took back the old damaged one. Hopefully they change their practices or maybe it was just that store. There really was a lot of nice and affordable furniture at Ashley. Tip: Don't ever sign for anything from the delivery service until you go over the furniture with a fine tooth comb and don't believe anything they say, that they "will contact customer service and customer service will contact you before the end of the business day" and if they break out a camera and take pictures of the damages, telling you they will send those pics to the company, that's B/S also. It just makes their story sound more credible. What I found out was if we don't accept and sign for the delivery, they don't get paid for the delivery. Probably one of the worst experiences furniture shopping in my life. I have spent almost 20k in Ashley furniture stores in the past 7 years and this store has by far deterred me from ever using Ashley again. Not only is the store employees that I dealt with and the supposed store manager Meesha unprofessional , disrespectful and beyond rude. Not only was I told the day of sale that I nor my wife CANNOT use either one of our ASHLEY credit cardS that have 0$ balances due to the fact that the order I was placing was under 699$. The store said it was a brand new policy from synchrony bank .Wow ridiculous. So I called the CC company after I payed cash for the sale and was told this is untrue. Then after making calls to credit companies, other Ashley stores and corporate I was told this is preposterous and unheard of. So after wasting 2 hours of my time with calls I receive a call from the store saying they miraculously changed the policy just now and that I can waste more of my time to come back in get refunded and use my Ashley card for the sale. Now after allllll of this nightmare I contemplated canceling. But did not formally cancel AT ALLLLL. Because I was told the only way to cancel was at the store. Which I have never been back to yet. On the day of supposed delivery. Oh boy no couches. So I call the store and they never scheduled a delivery date EVEN THOUGH MY RECIEPT CLEARLY STATES IN BOLD TYPE WILL RECIEVE ORDER BY 1-2-19 , because I was possibly going To cancel the order. Are you kidding me. Now Ashley is in breach of a written contract stating delivery. And there's no delivery. Absolute worst. We never go there again. Ordered a couch and it came damaged. There was a hole in the leather. I refused delivery and was told they would call me in a half he. I had to call them. I was told they couldn't give me another delivery time until it was delivered back to the warehouse(which is in Philly) 3 days later, still no call. They said it was probably there but no one scanned it. Waited another 3 days to cancel it. I wanted a refund. They told me they couldn't even refund me until it was scanned. Horrendous literally the worst purchasing experience of my adult/homeowner life ever. I ordered my kids bunk bed on December 24th, 2020. They have been delayed innumerable times. 8-12 weeks has turned into the estimated delivery date somewhere in November. I got that 8-12 was running late and I even gave it longer. By the time I started looking into this and calling, I learned that they aren't notified when something is going to be late. So unless the customer initiates the inquiry, Ashley just sits with your money with no product to be shown. In different exchanges, and possibly one of my more frustrating, a staff member named Marina, who barely spoke English, had the audacity when I asked for a manager to call me, "can you call us back just in case they don't call you." Upon further investigation and going into the store, one of their few employees who was kind enough to look into this and actually follow up, gave me the honest assessment of November. However, again I asked for a manager to call me back and got nothing. Worse than all of this, they said I can only go there to get my refund and I won't even get cash. I would get a check sent from a company who can't even call me to notify me of a delay. So weird I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who pays cash and furthermore why would I ever trust them to send me my money. Then I tried to call Ashley corporate today and that was an even bigger joke. The manager and salesperson from whom I purchased the items don't even work there anymore. Most disgusting business practice and method of working with customers I have ever experienced. This corporation should be ashamed and so should the workers at this store. read more

Ordered a kitchen table from them. Before the sale the store was great, AFTER the sale I will never go back to this store. Google and Ashley the website all have the wrong phone number. Extremely unprofessional. I told the sales team I haven't moved in yet so I will need travel time call me 15-30 minutes ahead of my scheduled delivery. They never called, sent my order back and tried to charge me a restocking fee. I called the store and the store dismissed it and gave me the customer service number. This store is ridiculous. No one received the "notes" on my account. If the furniture was returnable I would return it in a heartbeat. AND the chairs came damaged. NEVERRRRR ORDER FROM THIS STORE !!! Ordered a bedroom set, and my daughters dresser back in November. Dresser was on back order till January okay no problem. Received the bedroom set 2 weeks later missing the box spring, and also bottom pieces of the bed. They tell me oh don't sleep on the bed the wood will snap okay so Why would you deliver half of the stuff when you can't even sleep on the bed ??? Then they tell me the bottom pieces that hold the bed up are on back order. Have to continuously call to find out when they are going to deliver that. I finally get that weeks later. My daughters dresser was on back order till January okay fine. I call every day this month get the same answer end of January end of January. It's now January 27th I walk into the store confronted by a NASTYYYYY girl at customer service. I ask for info about the dresser. I get a nasty response " we'll it's not coming till March". Okay so no one calls to let me know ? "No you have to call everyday for updates". Excuse me ? I ordered this and was promised January. No one had the decency to call me and tell me it was delayed yet again. "We dont get updates". Like what kind of answer is that !!!! And to the nasty guy who was behind her making little comments your a disgrace as well as your customer service girl. You guys should not be working in a place that deals with people constantly !!! I will NEVER shop in this store EVER AGAIN! I went in on Friday to purchase a full size mattress for my daughter. We went to the back of the store and I noticed there were no prices on the mattresses. I was approached by a sales person and she started to show me one. I asked her for the price and she said it was $500. I told her that i saw one on line that was $199 & i would like to see that one. She said that she didn't have any in that price range I ask her what was the least expensive she has and she says $500 and preceded to tell me that it was an investment in my health. I said i know how important a good mattress is, but if i only have a certain amount of money then that is all i can afford. She then started to ask me how much i spent on my car "a lot" I said and she continued to lecture me about how i need to spend the money, i dont have on a mattress for her ....i was so annoyed i just proceeded to leave the store, when out of nowhere this other sales person gets in front of me and my daughter and asks us to follow her that she can show me less expensive mattresses. I then ask, "then why didn't that other lady show me these" and she said "forget about her" she then showed me a mattress that was $300 but that she could give it to me for $250, no tax and free shipping. I tell her when I needed it deluvered by and she tells me to sit while they write everything up. I waited a long time, then the girl says "do you have your car to take it home" i said "you said i was getting free shipping" she then tells me that free shipping is on orders of $1100 & above and that if i wanted it, i would have to pay $75 shipping. Again annoyed I got up to leave. I got outside and couldnt believe what rotten customer service they displayed. The more I thought about it the more annoyed I got. I went back in looking for a manager. I found one and i explained what happened, she asked me to point to the person i was talking about and then she says that she WILL give me the free shipping. I'm asked to sit (dejavu) the manager comes back and says that they wont be able to give me the free shipping for the mattress (Again!) I bought a 2 piece Couch set back in March, and I was promised a 2-6 week delivery time, and didn't receive my furniture till about 8 weeks later. Once I finally received the furniture and it was assembled, the next day I realized one sofa was broken! I called customer service to rectify this issue, and I was told a technician would come to my House no less than 5 weeks to try and fix the sofa. The customer service rep was unpleasant and unprofessional! As a customer making purchases, the rep should be prompt and ready to address the issues and find a quick solution to the problem.The technician finally came to assess the damage as he was very knowledgeable, however he was unable to fix my sofa. My overall experience has been very stressful and now I have to wait an unknown amount of time to see the outcome of my sofa being replaced or fixed. I found exactly what I was looking for, thanks to Dina who was extremely helpful. She took her time with me while I tried out almost every mattress in the store. I want to start off by saying, this store deserves 0 stars. If you are looking for furniture, take a pass on Ashley home store. Any other company would be better suited and professional. I recently ordered two-bed sets, and the company that delivered the bed brought the wrong part. They said they will order the correct part, and it would take 3 days, but unfortunately, the part came 46 days later. I waited for the order on multiple occasions, and the delivery company said it was going to come, but they canceled on me multiple times without notice or call. Ashley delivery is not by Ashley itself, but rather a third-party company that delivers the furniture broken and damaged, or simply does not come. When you call to inquire about the status, the customer service rep will say the customer has canceled and this is completely false. The store will charge you a 25 percent restocking fee if you cancel the delivery day, but will not discount you 25 percent when they cancel on you without notice. AVOID THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL THANK ME LATER! THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY FOR FURNITURE AND WILL PENALIZE YOU FOR CANCELING AN ORDER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DELIVER ON TIME BUT DID NOT. read more

Buying from Ashley Homestore was more complicated and stressful than buying my house. We ordered a new mattress and adjustable base back in April, and in June the base still had not arrived in the store. When it did, we scheduled the mattress/base delivery. The timeframe they gave us was between 3-7. This was fine because my bed frame was being assembled at 12. They showed up at 11Am, at the wrong address, and came to my home ten minutes later. Because they came early, the bed frame had not been delivered yet so they were unable to assemble the adjustable base. The delivery guys said to call customer service for them to come back. I called to have them come back and after holding for 45 minutes, Ashley scheduled an assemble appointment for two weeks later. Which meant that the base pieces were sitting in my bedroom right in front of my closet for that time, with me unable to move them and get in. I was currently 8 months pregnant at this time and could not move the pieces nor get into my closet where all my child's nursery things are so was unable to set up the nursery until the base was assembled. On the day before the appointment, they called to give me a time frame of 1-5. So I waited. And waited. And waited. I called customer service about ten times, each time waiting at least 30 minutes before getting through (and good luck not getting disconnected or hung up on once you do). Each time they told me that they would try to contact the driver and call me back (never called back). At one point they told me to deal with the trucking company, but would not provide me with the number, so when they transferred me the trucking company told me to deal with Ashley. At the very end of the day, customer service told me that they did not have my appointment on their schedule and that it was never made. Finally someone made a new appointment for me, for two days later. I had to cancel an OBGyn appointment for this because I could not take anymore chances of re-scheduling with this company. When the guys showed up, they once again showed up at the wrong address! (Even though my husband and I confirmed our address MULTIPLE TIMES with both customer service AND the store). When we told them to come to our correct address, they drove off for the day and never went. I went into Ashley Homestore and demanded they come back. When they finally did, they told us the base was not compatible with our bed frame, and we could not even use it unless we purchased sixteen extra pieces. Our salesman who I told this to later on agreed with this, which would have been extremely useful information two months ago when we purchased the mattress and base from him, or a month ago if they had showed up at the correct time slot, or the next appointment if they had showed up at all. I will never shop at Ashley Homestore again, even for a lamp. read more

I purchased a bedroom set with a king bed and warranty (Staten Island location). The order was placed in July 2020 and we did not receive it until November, still missing part of the bed that arrived late January after many followup calls. In May the mattresses starTed shifting and sliding towards the center. We realized the frame center legs we bent so we attempted to adjust and tighten then, unfortunately the legs continue to bend. I attempted to open a claim for repare only to be told that I should have put a rug to support the bed frame. I'm was so confused after about a 20 minute conversation that went nowhere and my request for a supervisor or manager was not granted. I was told that my call would be escalated and a return call was be received within 48 hours...still waiting. I called back and was given a reference number and email to submit pictures with another turnaround timeframe...again... still waiting. How do I get my claim resolved and bed fixed if the people that are suppose to help are incapable of servicing their customers?! read more

I had recently purchased a sommerford dining room set from this store before, but was missing one piece. The piece I was missing was a dining room server. The store had a 75% off sale so I figured it would be a great time to pick the item up. The associate in the store tells me with the discount the server would come out to $725.00. $725 for only a server?! The guy tells me yes, and that the original price of the item is $1400. Luckily, I walk away and check it out online. Not only was it only $550 dollars on the Ashley website with the sale, but the original price of the item is only $719... It's a shame that they would scam customers like that. read more

The absolute worst quality and customer service ever! Purchased a bedroom set, on the day of delivery we noticed a strong odor from the finish noted our concerns immediately on delivery to customer care. Couldn't sleep in the room that evening due to flare up with asthma and migraines caused by the odor coming from the finish. Next morning we went to the store with concerns and got the run around,no one knew who we were supposed to contact and how to go about our concerns. Finally, We were told by a rep on the phone that an inspector had to come and inspect the merchandise before we could continue the process. An inspector came a week later and smelled the strong odor and agreed with us. Let me add that my husband and I couldn't sleep in our master bedroom throughout this ordeal due to the odor causing my asthma and migraines to flare up. We slept on the floor on a mattress in our boys room. Called every day requesting status/updates as to when the bedroom set could be picked up and no one ever had a response "incompetence" they would take messages and never called back. Poor customer service to the maximum. This nightmare went on for 2 months after they delivered the set. We wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. We were able to go back to our bedroom 2 months after the nightmare began. They finally took the bedroom set and gave us a full refund. Now the here's where the funny stuff starts, upon checking out there is a cashier there who handles the checkout process I believe her name is Candace, who was on the phone throughout the whole process and actually told her GM to wait a second when he asked her a question bc she was on the phone, rolling her eyes, looked annoyed as if I was interrupting her day and was rude when speaking to my husband and I, dressed as if it was almost time to hit the club which I could careless about but there was nothing professional about it but I guess her dressing matched her attitude. I went in recently to pay off my living room set and spoke with a manger about the whole ordeal and she said something will be done (there is a lot I'm leaving out because there is just way to much to write) well guess what I called the store today to let them know that my furniture was being delivered butttt the screws were missing to the table, her response (deny the furniture, they will have to reorder it) I said "are you serious"? Her next response "well what is that you want to do" not mentioning that it will take another 2-3 weeks for a new delivery!! I want corporate calling me or that stores manager's manager!!!! Horrible company to shop for . Horrible customer experience. Currently on my 5th week of waiting for my furniture after it's been delayed over 5 times from the dates they would tell me it would arrive at the warehouse . I called yesterday to see if the furniture was going to arrive on the 11th as previously told to me which is a couple days before their 6 week promise time for delivery . They told me " they would have to send an email to someone because they don't know where the furniture is at " . So after waiting and spending thousands of dollars and even calling corporate who was no help what's so ever , now they don't know where my furniture is at . When I asked to speak to a a manger which I have on multiple occasions , they won't come to the phone and yesterday they said " no manager is here we'll have to call you back ". First off they don't call you back and secondly why is there no manager available on a Saturday at 1 pm ? I find that hard to believe when this is a day where your customers come out to shop the most because it's a weekend , but regardless this has been the worst shopping experience ever. By far the worst, the W O R S T, absolute worst customer """service""" experience that I have ever had. Over a month later the couch was received and that was after 3 times of "misunderstandings" and "broken pieces upon inspection" which prevented the couch to come on time. No one from that store has ever E V E R returned my call when I had pleaded for someone to. The warehouse would call instead of the HomeStore manger, and even if that's who would ultimately handle the countless issues, it is common decency for the HomeStore to call and offer some sort remorse for all of the mess ups by this place. Last Thursday I called to check on the status of the delivery refund that I was assured about receiving, they said they'd have to call back but SURPRISE!! No call back. I'm honestly disgusted and wish that we would've just went somewhere else after the first 2 times THEY needed to reschedule because of "broken furniture" and "we lost the reservation for your delivery". I would never recommend someone to go here. Its even more disheartening to think of how courteous and eager the salespeople and managers are when theyre processing your credit card but then they couldn't care less once you walk out the door. read more

I ordered over $6,000 worth of furniture at Ashley Staten Island in September. I called to check on the status of my order last month and was told most of my items were in, but that there were three on backorder. I had the items that were in delivered. One item was damaged. I tried over and over again to call the Staten Island store, but every number listed, including the one on my invoice, either comes up as no longer in service or a busy signal constantly. I am now waiting nearly three months for my last three items and it is quite literally IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone at the Staten Island store, and the only customer service number is for online orders. They tried calling as well and even they couldn't give me a working number for the Staten Island store. While I love the items I have received, this is truly making me regret ever buying anything from Ashley. This is truly no way to run a business! read more

BEWARE!!! DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY!! My wife and I just bought our first home. We purchased almost $10k worth of furniture from the Staten Island store. After 6 weeks our furniture was finally ready for delivery. We received an automated call 2 days before to confirm delivery, which we did. We also confirmed via text. We were given a delivery time of 1-5pm. To be clear, Ashely hires a 3rd party delivery company. They believes this makes them immune to any wrongdoing by the delivery company, which is completely not true considering they are the ones who hire them. The day of delivery we received multiple calls telling us that the delivery guys were running an hour late. That was a lie, because they called us at 7pm with the nerve to ask us if we still wanted our furniture delivered. FINALLY, they show up around 7:45pm. The put our bedroom set and dining room set together (which about 95% of had to be tightened by me because they didn't tighten anything all the way), then it was time to get our couch in the house. The whole time they were in my house they were cursing and complaining about how tired they were, which was extremely unprofessional and NOT OUR PROBLEM. When they couldn't fit the couch through the front they asked me if I wanted them to try the back, so I said go for it. They tried forcing in through the back door, which damaged the couch and my newly painted walls. After that, one of the drivers presented an electronic waiver which would absolve him of any of the damages and put them all on me. When I declined he became irate and called his supervisor. He put him on speaker phone where they began speaking in spanish. I don't speak spanish so I asked them if they'd mind speaking in english considering the situation. The supervisor had no idea that he was on speaker, so at this point he told the driver that I didn't have to sign the waiver since it wasn't presented to me before they tried getting the couch in. This was such a terrible experience that I received a call from the delivery company telling me that the two drivers were being let go because of their behavior. When I tell you this is only the tip of the iceberg, I am not kidding. We are STILL trying to get this situation rectified and no one from corporate, or the Staten Island store, is taking this matter seriously. They have really cute pieces and decent prices. Major issue is with the hawk-like mentality of the sales people. They swoop in as soon as you enter the store, follow you around, and do not stop talking to you. There is absolutely no shopping in peace at this store. Worst than shopping for a car. Even after being told you will get them if you have questions, they persist in following you around. And then tell you they are just doing their job. Part of their job should be listening to and reading their potential customers as well. Not just sell something at all costs. The worst experience is lying on a mattress with a strange man standing over you talking you to death. Probably won't buy the pieces I need from this store- I do not like the aggressive tactics used. In fact, I just read the review prior to me where the customer has been waiting since January for a bed she purchased and the horrible experience she's had. I would definitely NOT recommend making a purchase here, especially if your expectation is to receive quality furniture, and good customer service. Neither which were provided to me! After promising a delivery date, they failed to follow through as agreed, which forced me to change my vacation. They stopped answering my calls, when I tried to change the date. Eventually I had to go in there physically, just to speak to someone, and was promised a courtesy check to compensate for their error... which i am still waiting on 2 months later. After complaining to the manager I overheard the employee call me a name that I cannot even post on this page! The delivery came in a broken box, the frame slanted, with the upholstery on the platform hanging off in two areas. To which i was told they couldn't do anything about because it occurred during delivery. Save your time, money, and sanity by shopping elsewhere!
